Green Motion Car and Van Rental - Tirana Airport

Can‘t say anything bad about Green Motion.

We booked this over a rental car platform from home and got insurance coverage for damages within the deposit.

As I misbooked the car and needed it for a day longer, we made a call and they made the car available one day earlier at the same price of the regular daily rate. This was good service and kind of unexpected!

Of course we were offered additional insurance. This is the case with every rental car everywhere you get one. In case you‘re not aware of this, you can say „no“. If you did not manage to get proper insurance from home, you may consider getting this additional insurance.

As many mentioned traffic and the roads can be kind of tricky and your car may stand unsecured while being parked. This can lead to damages that you‘re not even responsible for. And If I were a rental company, I‘d also charge for a dent or a scratch, and certainly not only 25 EUR which will not cover at all the cost. The fact that the car is being rented out for up to 200 thousand kilometers does not really change this.

Our car came well running but quite dented and scratched, but clean inside. We both made fotos and upon returning, no further damages were identified as expected, as nothing happened.

We saw how Albanians but also some tourists drove, thus concluding: If you‘re responsible for a damage, you can not expect to come out without being made liable for it. That‘s how it always is.

Overall: Good experience, OK car but that was to be expected. A bit pricey but we researched and it‘s market rate - you got to pay if you want to drive.

Would go with green motion again.

I got a new car in great condition. Check-in / check-out experience was painless. I appreciated the simplicity of their flat rate, no questions asked insurance option. And Klodi was super helpful all around. Book direct on their website for the best rate ;)

I rent a car from greenmotion smoothly. Car was clean and general condition is nice but breaks make noise and km is high(98.000km). I recoment car with plus package also. You will covered almost everything and feel comfort as ı felt. (As a footnote petrol price in albania 212 lek per lt.)

Great experience with Greenmotion Tirana. We hired a new Kia Stonic for an eleven day one way rental Tirana to Split, Croatia. The team at the airport were great and the communication via WhatsApp with any questions was always promptly responded to.
We luckily had no issues with the car and the same team from Tirana met us in Split to collect the car directly from us rather than us having to drop it off at another location.
My only advice would be to get a car with reversing cameras as parking in the entire region can be a challenge 😆

Fail to see why these guys have negative reviews. Rented a car, car was perfect for what we needed, everything worked fine. Polite staff at the check in, fast & responsive. When returning everything was quick and easy.

Definitely 100% recommend. We were staying at the hotel very close to the airport, so they agreed to drop our car to the hotel, even before the time we had it booked - just like this. It was super helpful for us, we as already had to check out and had a baby with us. The car was clean and new, in very good condition. Gentelman who we dealt with was very kind, with great English. Everything went nice and easy, contract transparent. We have never met company so friendly, and professional before - and we travel a lot. Great job guys!

Staff was cheerful and there were no problems with the car while driving.
There are small scratches on the exterior of the car, but I know the national atmosphere of Albania. So I didn't care at all.
However, when I borrowed a car and returned it, I did the work alone.
Lol

This must be the first car rental company to pay attention to in Tirana Airport.

Honorable mention of the guy who works at the counter of green motion! He was so friendly and helpfull made the process of collecting and handover the car so easy , quick and smooth! Even gave us tips and advise! By far the best experience of renting a car in not only Albania but everywhere I ve been! To be taken as an example for many companies!

We got a car from Tirana and dropped it off in Saranda after almost two weeks. Drove down the albanian Riviera from TIrana. I must admit that I was quiet suspicious at all time because of the few one star reviews. My personal experience showed that green motion albania is a really professional and flexible company. I traveled with my wife and our almost one year old baby. We were welcomed from a verz friendly gentelman at the desk and while in Saranda there was no drop of desk the same gentelman guided us through how to drop off the car. Everything went well and when we'll come back to Albania we will definatelly rerent a car from green motion. Really proud to see that my birth country is developing through and having serious and professional companies.
