Prespa National Park

This is a place full of pure magic and complete silence.
272 bird species, 1800 plant species, 172 butterfly species... Amazing view.
Great place for meditation.

Very beautiful nature. Go to the village at the end, close to the borders with North Macedonia and Albania - Psarades

Peaceful, quiet and beautiful park at Greece, near to the borders with Albania country. There are not many but nice food and drink options at the traditional villages around the lake as well as accomodation options (There is a hotel at Achillio, a small island inside the lake). Picturesque scenery of the lakes.

We came for the day from Korça to experience the Greek portion of Prespa in our kayaks. Very beautiful and worth the visit.

Lovely natural area around the lake. Variety of possible activities with various difficulties. We've enjoyed visiting agios achillios and taking a boat to watch the old monasteries (including climbing up to the 15th century monastery on the cave), as well as watching local birds.

Most probably one of the last untouched greek paradises!

A great experience. This place is looking dead but Mikrolimni is a very small village with a restaurant next to small Prespa Lake. You can cycle to the smaller Argios Achilles Lake...it is about 22km until there but worth going there. We are on a stelplatz next to a very small but beautiful church. We have a lot of peace and can swim in the Lake...wonderful

An absolutely amazing place. A truly gem in Greece. The lake offering lots of hikes along its shores and the surrounding mountains.
Also it’s worth visiting Agio Achillios and the picturesque villages Psarades and Agios Germanos.

Wanderful area with a small island in the middle of the lake, communicating with the main land by a bridge. A lit of birds and animals to see.

Beautiful during the fall and especially rewarding on a motorcycle. I visited for one afternoon, but I wish I'd stayed for 4-5 days, I only briefly visited the main sightseeing spots, but would like to go hiking and experience more of this wonderful area.

Did a daily road trip on a whim. Best descision ever!

Gorgeous place, calm and relaxing. One of the most interesting places in Greece

The Prespa National Park is a national park in southeastern Albania lying on the border triangle shared with Greece and North Macedonia. At approximately 277.5 km2, the park encompasses the country's sections of Great and Small Prespa Lake that are surrounded by mountains. It is considerably marked by high mountains, small islands, vast freshwater wetlands, salt marshes, meadows, reed beds and dense forests.

Unique landscape by the lakes. Must go place to visit. Ideal for families. Pet friendly.

An ideal visit for nature lovers, just an hour drive from the city of Kastoria. Make sure to start your day early so that you have time to visit as many spots as possible. Recommended: hiking at Agios Achillios island, visiting Agios Germanos & Psarades. Great restaurants and hostels if you wish to extend your stay.

A gem. Well worth a visit any time of year. Not very organised and minimum infrastructure, rely on yourself and plan ahead

This place has a unique atmosphere. The tour of the lake from Psarades is a must as one can visit very old ascetic places.
The food is great and very cheap.
The only downside is that there is very little enterainement in the vicinity.
Overall a must if you are nearby allthough it is well worth a trip even if you are coming from Athens.
