Bujtina Malaj

This was my absolute favorite place that we stayed out of the three places we stayed at while in Albania. The owner was so incredibly sweet, welcoming and hospitable. The views were absolutely breathtaking and the food they served was amazing. The rooms were gorgeous and clean and felt like you were staying in a brand new log cabin. I will remember this experience forever. Thank you for this amazing stay!❤

Loved our quaint mountain view with a balcony. The bathrooms were superior. Restaurant margarita was very good and not too expensive for the region (still 250 lek for a glass of wine), it's a few hundred meters down the hill from the guest house. The owner is lovely as is his mother though she doesn't speak English. She made us massive sandwiches to take since we started for theth before breakfast. Our transport to valbona dropped us on the main Rd so we had to walk over 1 km uphill to get to the guesthouse, but it was nice to be able to walk downhill to get to the trail start the next morning. Hiked guesthouse to guesthouse from valbona to theth and was 12 miles altogether, but our accommodations on the theth side were a bit further from the trailhead and visitor center.

It is such a nice place to stay in the valbona region. Due to its location you have a beautiful view over the Valbona Valley. The rooms are modern. The host is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and beverage offerings. I can really recommend this Guesthouse!

We came in May 2023 and stayed for 2 nights.

Location: beautiful; it’s one of the most secluded guesthouses in the area, backing right into the mountains! It’s close to the Valbonë-Theth trailhead and about a 10 mins walk off the main road - but totally worth it.

Accommodations: very comfortable! The rooms all have balconies and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a view of the mountains. Our bed was comfortable; rooms come with ensuite bathrooms. The wooden building was extra cozy!

Service: we were fortunate and had Mir as our host during our stay. He was so kind and considerate. He genuinely cares about the well-being of his guests and all other tourists of Valbonë, and had great recommendations on how to spend time in the area. He’s also a solid cook, although he doesn’t give himself enough credit ;)

If your vehicle can handle steep gravel roads then it's worth getting up here. Much better view than at the (free) parking lot down in the valley.

Eni is a great host and gave us good tips for hiking. Our dogs made friends with him immediately.
If you go there don't miss his homemade warm blueberry juice.

We got electricity and could use shower and washrooms in the guesthouse at a very fair price.

Don't miss the entry road to the house when you come up the valley. The other shorter "road" on google maps really needs 4x4 and is not suitable for wide or tall vehicles...

Very nice place with a beautiful view. I did choose this guesthouse because it is at the start of the track to Theth. The room was good for two persons with toilet and shower. The breakfast is delicious and the owner is nice and speaks English.

Wonderful place! The mountain view is probably the best in the area! The owners are very nice and polite people! That day, we had the opportunity to make a beautiful campfire - wood is available in any quantity! Too bad we only spent one night there... this place really is worth a longer stay... recommended!

Very nice accommodation after a hike from theth to valbona. The people are extremely friendly. We had trouble with Berisha ferry Company and the hosts went above and beyond to help us to happily continue our travel.
We would absolutely recommend this accommodation to everyone :)

Tips: maybe put up a sign next to the road

A family run business run by three brothers. I can not describe how beautiful it’s here! If you want quite and seclusion here is the place to come. They’re constantly adding to this place, so if you leave tips and ideas they’ll be so happy to accommodate and build on this already brilliant wooden cabin located in The Valley of Valbona.

If you need a 4x4 car to go up the extra 300meters they will also offer you lift. I was so happy to not find a place riddled with phone lit faces but kind and welcoming faces and super fun and friendly people.

I’m hoping to come back here again at some point with more friends sadly I have to work.

The place is in an amazing place higher than the Valley of Valbona itself. Owners are very helpful and friendly they helped us during a very rough times and they went all they way to valbona trek to get our friends from their.

The place of the hotel is still new and fresh woods could be easily smelled there.

A very good view to wake up at, good food and string cappuccino and awesome omlet

A must go.

Everything is perfect about it - the views, the staff, the rooms and the cleanliness! Just love it!
You should really consider coming here if you're looking for an amazing place with great views, amazing staff and some real Albanian experience!

This place is worth to visit! Great hospitality, very good contact with owners who support visitors in any case, also they have wide knowledge about mountains… and you will wake up having amazing view! PS: If you need to decide and choose between Teth and Valbone, Valbone should be your first choice👍

A 20 mins Hike from the mainroad but its worth it!

Super netter Gastgeber! Tolle Lage für die Wanderung nach Theth. Gastgeber hat uns ein Taxi organisiert, dass uns ca 10 Minuten zum Wanderstartpunkt gebracht hat. Erspart ca 40 Minuten Laufweg. Gastgeber hat uns ein großes leckeres Sandwich als Lunchpaket mitgegeben, weil wir sehr früh aufgebrochen sind. Tolles Erlebnis!!! Die Wanderung von Valbona nach Theth ist besser, da der Abstieg bis ins Tal von Theth teilweise sehr steil und steinig ist. Traumhafter Ausblick vom Gipfel!!!
