Kuzum Baba

Great panoramic views of the city located near the center of Vlora. There’s a couple of way to get to the top you can take the stairs or just drive up . This religious place has been around forever I do like the new renovation. Most people go there for the views but if you wanna enjoy a coffee or nice meal this is a great place for it.

Nice walk to the top where there's a bar, a kids play park, and of course the best city and sunset views. Watch out for the mosquitos though.

Great place. Worth visiting in Vlore. There are stairs to walk if you want so. Spectacular view of the city.

If you have children, RUN to this place! The restaurant has a huge playground for the children to play for free (with purchase of food or drink) with a gorgeous view! We wish we had known about it sooner! There is also a little farm with horses and chickens you can see from the garden, which is pleasant for animal lovers.
*The only issue is that on the walk up to the place, the stairs are filled with trash and overgrown weeds. The stairs/pathway up to the top are completely unmaintained & not necessarily safe. It also looks as though they are burning trash just outside the entrance. Note that it is also possible to reach the top via the road (if you aren’t able to walk up many stairs.)*

One of the places that you schould visit when you are in Vlore city. Great look on the city, and nice sarounding also. Yo can go by car or by walk but it is too many stairs, better with car, you can park there. There ia big terace with restaurant, it was morning and it was empty so we did not try restaurant. Worth visit.

Very cool spot with remarkable views. I didn't go to the restaurant near it, just the Bektashi shrine. It's a small little place but it was definitely a highlight in Vlore where cultural sights are scarce to say the least

absolutely worth visiting despite the slightly run-down and frightening way up (it helps if you have a friend to hold onto lol)

Came here by foot from the city in the evening just in time for the sunset. Great view over the city. They also have a restaurant/bar if you like.

Great place for having a Turkish coffee and enjoying the view. The entrance is walking in the hotel threw the garden.

The balcony of Vlora city! 360 ° panoramic view of Vlora, the sea, the Karaburun peni nsula, Sazan island, Zvernec and Narta Lagune. Lots of history about the Bekatashi religion!

The viewpoint is great! And there’s a restaurant (seemed like a nice restaurant - people were more on the ‘dressy’ side) to get a drink if you’re up for it. We walked up the street from the back; we had wanted to hike the stairs for some exercise but google maps led us a different route. The stairs can be accessed from the main Road (Rruga Ismail Qemali) between the high school (Ali Demi) and the old mosque, but on the opposite side of the road from those landmarks. The stairs are broken in places but there are trail detours so you can still make it to the top. Free to walk around up there. There was a large beautiful white building that I assume was part of the attraction but the gates were closed - not sure if we got there too late or if it’s not open to the public but the view is worth it either way.

It is a great place. You can climb it up or you can go there by car. This is a place where believers go too. There is a big house of a person that many people believe on him. You can visit the house. There is place where you can light candles. There is a bar and restaurant too with an amazing view of the city. You can see the beach too. There is a place where children can play.

Everything is amazing about this place. The view is great the food very tasty and great value.
I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Kuzum Baba is a natural terrace carved out by the sea, located on a hill above the city of Vlore. It takes its name from Sejjid Ali Sulltan, known as Father Kuzum (Quzum Baba), a Bektashi spiritual leader, who according to local tradition, is buried here.

Being the highest point of the city, somewhere at 30 m from the sea level, Kuzum Baba offers visitors the chance to enjoy the fresh air and to admire beautiful city landscapes. The 300 meters long terrace represents, despite its geological importance, a religious center for the Bekatashi sect. There is a Bektashi temple atop of the hill (Tempulli i Bektashinjve), built around 1600. The sect was influential in the 17th century, but its stopped its activity temporarily around 1826, because of local persecutions. Today however, the Tekke of Kuzum Dad (Teqeja e Kuzum Babait) is one of the most important Bekatashi centers in all Albania.

Great place to visit for a view from above the city of Vlora and its magnificent bay

The world head quarter off Bektashian religion is in Albania and Kuzum Baba is a great location even for a spectacular view off Vlora and the ''thumb off Albania'' 😁👍🇦🇱
