You need water shoes and swimsuit. The place is fantastic!!! Most of the 'path' the water is only up to your calf but as you get to the darker places the water goes above your waist. Free entrance. The road to the Kanioni has amazing views.

🏔⛰🌄Its a most easily accessible canyon, 🚗road is in good condition , Place is beautiful, you must have 👟👞aqua shoes, bring 👝📱waterproof phone pouch, I don't suggest for 👶baby's and kids is bit cold , don't expect to 🏊‍♂swim , its long 🚶‍♂walk not easy to access beginning of canyon ,and there is a complex with thermal water and small restaurant ,with kids play area, better to come early the road doesn't have lightning for night drive .

Holta Canyon is one of the least explored, yet one of the most beautiful sites in Gramsh. Its fairy tale like swirls, twists and turns can leave you breathless! Dedicate at least 2-3 hours, make sure to have good equipment, including safety helmet in case of rainy days and stones falling from the sides.

Few people have heard of it and even fewer have dared visit this seemingly mythological place, though it lies less than two hours away from the capital of Tirana, near the city of Gramsh. Holta’s Canyon, has remained fairly unexplored from local and foreign tourists alike. Due to the lack of infrastructure in the surrounding area, until very recently, it has been close to impossible to get there. With the recent investment on all roads in the area, the journey there is a (brisk) breeze.

Holta Canyon was created by the erosion of the river Holta. It extends 3 kilometers from the village of Bardhaj to Kabash, with surrounding valley slopes of 100-150 meters and with crystalline waters of depths of around 3 meters. Karst caves created by limestone rocks, stalactites and stalagmites of rare beauty can be found there. Silence and echoes, lush greenery hanging from the slopes above you and beautiful blue waters caressing your feet and creating small waterfalls along the way. A bit further, thermal waters where you can relax for a moment of your journey.

The end of the canyon culminates with a magnificent rock that recalls a mythical era, the mark of a modern Odyssey. Unlike the Odyssey, this journey is purely safe, peaceful and beautiful. Holta’s Canyon is here to remind us of another time, one when passionate explorers discovered new lands. As it always happens with such beautiful sights, words cannot possibly do justice to reality. The magic is waiting for you.

It is one of the most beautiful places located in Gramsh region for everyone who want to spend some times with their friends or families. It is easily accessible by car, and during summer people can swim in its river.

Breathtaking. The road was decent and you don't need a big 4x4 car to get to the canyon. The road leads straight to the canyon so no walk time.

It is the most beautiful place with its special hills and narrow pass between 2 splited rocks from the water for years...
You can visit this place during summer because water is very cold and the depth is just like a refrigerator, the deeper you go into the canion the colder the air is. Not suggested in rainy weather! The water flow in this place can take you away...

Ein Naturphänomen. Badehose anziehen nicht vergessen, denn gleich zu Beginn geht es hüfthoch durchs Wasser. Je tiefer man in den Canyon geht, desto kälter wird es. Für Kinder und empfindliche Leute ist eine Jacke nicht schlecht (im wasserdichten Beutel!). Irgendwann geht es dann nur noch mit Schwimmen (nur kurze Stücke aber das Wasser ist eiskalt) weiter. Dort drehen fast alle Leute um. Es ist beeindruckend! Die Straße ist neu asphaltiert, nur die letzten 200 Meter sind Schotterweg aber befahrbar. Entsprechend viel los ist im Sommer, große Reisegruppen inklusive. Geheimtipp ist es keiner mehr. Am Vormittag ist weniger los als am Nachmittag. Das Essen im etwas einfacheren Restaurant direkt am Eingang zum Canyon war frisch gegrillt und sehr lecker. Ein schönes Ausflugsziel!
