Dilijan Local Lore Museum and Art Gallery

The museum was a fantastic experience. I could nor imagine the collection would be so rich, versatile and so well-exhibited.
The museum guides gave excellent information on the top of that, but if you choose to explore the place guide-free (which I did), you will still be enchanted and discover a lot on your own.
I loved the time spent there.

It was very interesting. I recommend. It was not crowded at all. Tickets for the gallery were 2000 AMD per person

Superb museum. Excellent artworks exhibition. Dilijan Local Lore Museum collection is unique and very well organized. This place is must see for everyone interested in history and arts.

Nice museum, but small! I like how nicely everything is presented. The building itself is beautiful and the statues great Armenians outside are masterpieces. Totally recommend sightseeing in Dilijan. It’s just 10 minutes walking distance away from the main bus station at the main square. I cannot accurately remember the cost of the admission fee, but it was something around $1 or $1.5.

We had a very positive experience but I suggest to hire a museum guide.

If your interests are Culture / Art paintings+sculptures / Antiquities ...Dilijan National/Local museum is the place to visit! if your want more detailed historical facts i recommend to ask for a guide ! one of the must visit places if your in Dilijan !

Located in 28, Myasnikyan Street, Dilijan, Tavush Region, Armenia, the Museum is close to central point of Dilijan. The museum was opened in 1950 by the teacher Yeghishe Hovsepyan. The museum is all about the history of Dilijan, the historical development of the local people, their lifestyle, cultural monuments. You get glimpse of Armenia through times. In 1958 the art gallery was established. Visit and feel the beauty of Armenia of passed time. Good luck.

Don’t agree with people putting low scores for places they didn’t visit or where closed However we didn’t go in as the 500 dram’s it was 2 years ago is now 4000. Just for information
