Holiday Bosnia

Unbelievably good tour operator. Can't say enough good words about them..we visited in Feb, mainly for skiing. We were two families. Had booked for 5 days of skiing in bjelaninska. Unfortunately we picked dates with very little snow so we spent our first 2 days unable to ski. By day 3 we realised there is very little hope of skiing, but realised that we would have better chances at another resort about 2 hrs away, jahorina. We spent the morning of the 3rd day liaising with Holiday Bosnia to try and cancel our current hotel booking and rearrange for new accomodation in Jahorina. This was a huge challenge as Jahorina was very busy with lots of other ppl having moved across too. They managed to make arrangements for our transfer and new accomodation to meet our rats, in the space of a few hours. The main thing is through all our discussions in planning the original package, we developed a very good relationship with the team, and felt we can trust them to look after us without taking advantage of us financially in this challenging situation. We definitely could as in the end they are giving us a refund since the new accomodation worked out cheaper than our original.

Their immense efforts meant our family were able to enjoy two splendid days skiing together. My family had the chance to do one more half day before finishing off with half a day touring around some of the nearby tourist spots.our guide on the tours (we also had one day at the beginning touring Sarajevo itself) were so knowledgeable and really brought the plights of the Sarajevo people to life. They gave us.personal insights, having lived through the war themselves. In my family we have a 7, 9 and 13 year old. The elder two were really interested in all the stories, so highly recommend for even those with small kids. On our last day of touring we enjoyed alot the Tunnel of hope, Vrelo Bosnia and sunny land rollercoaster.

Can't wait to return to Sarajevo either form another ski trip or a summer break to enjoy some of the summer activities.

To reiteterate, do not hesitate to book a break to Sarajevo and make sure you do it with these guys. You won't be at all disappointed.

We had the opportunity to travel from New York City to Bosnia through Lufthansa Airlines. The flight was fairly short and comfortable. Upon landing, we were picked up by Holiday Bosnia Staff and then we were "WOWing" every other place they took us!

Our Tour Guide Salem & Kamraan knowledge of history, current geo-politics, and religions was outstanding. There historical narrative of Sarajevo, every location on the route and everything in between were simply compelling.

I tend to be very critical of tours and excursions because of me being a Frequent Traveler (Flying 300,000+ miles a year) and Speaking on Halal Tourism throughout the world! I'm happy to say that the Full-Day Tour from Sarajevo to Herzegovina with Mostar, Blagaj Dervish House, Pocitelj, Jablanica, and Konjic with Holiday Bosnia was so good, I plan on going again but this time bringing my family with us :)

In terms of the content covered and sites visited, there is clear thought put in to the progression of the day ensuring that as a tourist you can learn while enjoying the tour.

Holiday Bosnia is more than your average travel company. It is clear to me that they do what they do because it is something they are passionate about and that they believe in educating and sharing knowledge. The views and landscapes alone are worth the trip (pictures I took during the tour provided below), however, it was the entire package that made this experience so positive.
