Coniferous Hotel

Booked this hotel during our visit to Sohra in April this year. Good location, great service and rooms. Only thing lacking was absence of an in-house restaurant. They informed us about that at check-in but still it is an inconvenience to travellers who don't have their own vehicle or are too tired to go eat outside. We met owner's nephew and he was very cordial, the staff was polite as well. The room allotted to us was beautiful with complete wooden and bamboo interior detailing and had balcony and windows which give you a breathtaking view when it rains outside. Would certainly recommend it, granted their restaurant has started since

The hotel staffs are so helpful and kind.
Their restaurant is close due to renovation works but they made arrangements for the same and got the food heated up they also provide us the necessary cutlery.

Really a good hotel. We booked the super deluxe 4 bedded room as I came here with my family. The staffs are very polite and helpful. Room service is also good. They do not provide lunch, one can get only breakfast and dinner from the hotel. They have their own parking space. Rooms, washroom, bedsheets all are very clean and tidy. Altogether it was a nice experience.

I had a pleasant stay in Coniferous when I was in Cherrapunjee. The room was cozy and I could see absolutely stunning view of the sun rising in the morning, straight from the window. The hotel itself is one of the legends in the region.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. They even rented me their Scott for short commutes in the town.

The place has a couple of small stores around. It is conveniently located on the major road.

Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Cherrapunji.

Stayed at this beautiful property situated very close to the Seven Sisters Falls. Plenty of parking space available and gates are locked at night. Room tariffs are very reasonable as well as the quality and price of food. One can go for quiet little walks from here or just sit and enjoy the sound of the flowing stream of water just in front of the hotel. The staff are polite and amiable in nature. The owner is a very smart and jolly person and quite knowledgeable too. Had a wonderful stay and hope to come back soon. Nothing less than 5 stars.

Good stay, good food and good people. They were all there to help us from beginning till check out with all needs being met and most importantly, prior information about stuff that won't be available, like electricity. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay, with clean rooms. Thanks to the team.

Location was on the main road, easy to recognize. Ample parking and good view of NIT on one side and a stream on the other.

As Cherrapunji is famous for its heavy rain, even in complete power cut this is the only hotel which provide all facilities like light, generator, charging, neat and tidy rooms and bathroom with comfortable and clean beds, on demand very tasty pure veg food.
Hotel is situated in very scenic place, we enjoyed here a lot with cups of tea on swings.

One of the best stays at great value for money. Good Food at reasonable price. Service is too good. Staffs are very friendly. Great choice to stay as its nearby to the Seven Sisters waterfall. The location and the view is the additional advantage.

We have booked corniferous for almost a week. The Stay there was very comfortable as the staff was very helpful and friendly. They will help you with almost everything starting from site seeing locations, arranging cab and food. Their service was really up to the mark. Will Surely recommend this place rather than any other hotels at Shillong police bazar as most of the falls,caves & other sites are very close by.

I stayed at Coniferous Hotel in Cherrapunji recently, and it was amazing. The hotel is in a really beautiful place. The people who work there, including the owner, were super friendly and made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were big and really clean. They had all the modern stuff like fast Wi-Fi, which was cool because the place is kind of remote.The best part was the food. They have a restaurant right there, so it was easy to eat. The food was delicious, mixing local flavors with familiar tastes. Overall, everything was great about our stay at Coniferous Hotel. If you're looking for a peaceful time surrounded by nature and friendly faces, this is the place to go. I'm already excited about going back sometime.

Such a lovely place to stay,the ambiance is so soothing with the sound of the gushing stream on both sides of the hotel which flows throughout the night.
Staffs are cooperative and friendly.

Hotel had very good spacious rooms. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. No lift. Vegetarian Food with limited choice was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful and would rate 5 for their hospitality. We stayed 2 days and on whole it was a very pleasant stay here. Owner was very very helpful and courteous... Would Rate 5/5 for over all experience.

We stayed in 2 days in the hotel with our family.We really loved the environment of the hotel.The restaurant was fantastic and staffs was friendly and helpful.when ever we demand hot water for drinking... They provide us.
Above all the manager cum owner was superb in terms of hospitality.
I recommend this hotel to all fellow travelers especially those with family. For veg... Fooding is little bit problem, as we hotel doesn't have their own restaurant.. So the nearest restaurant is around 1km to 4 km
