Van der Valk Hotel Verviers

I was worried seeing the reviews after booking. But guess what. I am so happy that I booked this place. The front desk staff was so helpful. I saw a review that the staff doesn’t speak English but the staff I saw did. Free pool, sauna and gym is just so good and I heard the restaurant is good also. I can tell because the cars that was fully parked mostly was for the restaurant.

Very good rooms. Very good kitchen. But the service in restaurand is going down each month. The peoples does not speak english, are very very very slow. Trying to not to see you. I think, if you have a group of 16 peoples, you can have some man only for you but for thos people it is only to much work.

Edit: I spent a whole week at the hotel. Three dinners in line. Everything was absolutely super.

We are fortunate to be given a free upgrade to the Duplex Room and I would recommend to go for this room type.
The bed is up in the loft with a window look out. Imagine a starry night and you can glaze at the 🌟 on your bed

Nice Hotel and a good service.
I just stayed there for one night, got an upgrade to a suite wit bathtub.
The bed was huge and very comfortable.

The Staff in the restaurant is professional.
Food is very delicious. For an English menu, you have to ask.

Spacious rooms, good room service on demand, faily cleaning & towel change, friendly 3- language Reception personnel an excellent breakfast !!

Amazing and friendly hotel for a bargain price. Will definitely return to this place on my next visit to Belgium. We stayed there as a part of our motorcycle trip and we couldn’t be happier with our massive room and bathroom with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful and evening themes such as live music were just added bonus.

This Hotel is lovely. I have stayed here many times and all the rooms are nice particularly the mezzanine room's on the 3rd floor. It has a modern decor and is finished to a high standard. The restaurant and bar on site are also excellent.

Great hotel, walking distance from the city, the train and bus station. Easy to get to nature for walking, just a bus ride from the Hoge Venen. Friendly staff, ample and tasty breakfast. All the dishes we ordered for room service (due to corona) we're delicious. The 3 night combo package with breakfast and a 3 course meal we're worth every penny. The beds we're a bit soft for our taste, but we're used to a great firm bed, so for most ppl they will do fine. There's even a wellness option, but due to corona it was closed, which we knew up front. So, would definitely received!
