As we were staying down the street, we took an after dinner walk and stopped in for a visit. Here lie over 2,000 Soldiers (and a couple of Airmen) lost in WWI, along with a few lost in WWII. There are many markers with inscriptions from family members, as well as a few with pictures and a poem. This brings the tombstones to life and helps keep the names of those lost alive. Sadly, about 2/3 of those who rest here are unknown. We dedicated most of our prayers to them.
Hats off to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for their maintenance of this hallowed ground; they keep the cemetery well maintained.
