Kazematten Waldeck Maastricht Underground

It’s a underground of a fort to visit, but unfortunately I was not able to go inside as I didn’t book ticket in advance. They only allow guided visit on weekends. So book your ticket in advance so that you might get chance to go inside.
But the park itself is so so beautiful. You can roam around and spend your time. Plenty of greenery all over the park.
Highly recommended with advanced ticket booking.👍

Had a great time with our tourguide Ed, very knowledgeable and he brought it all in such an entertaining way! Very interesting to learn about the city defenses from way back. If my history classes were more like this tour I'd have scored much better grades! Definitely recommend this if you have even the slightest interest in musket and cannon warfare.

Awesome tour. You will hear some interesting history on these tunnels under Maastricht - and of course walk (and even crawl) - through them. You get the option of crawling through the oldest tunnel and of course I couldn't resist. Not for claustrophobic people though.

Our guide David was funny and engaging. He knew the history and could answer anything . I never cease to be amazed by our forefathers!

super cool and worth the struggle to find! signs in the park would be helpful. tour guide was very funny and informative. some student prices would be nice too

Amazing city with beautiful old streets, green gardens and nice river! Perfect for one day trip to relax and enjoy walking around.

Information centre is closed on Mondays - little information on website but get tickets from information centre. Pretty impressive from outside

Wonderful

what's the point? where?

We hadden een leuke gids .
Het was zeer interessant. Echt de moeite waard om deze gangen te bekijken.

Wij genoten van de rondleiding. Onze gids Ernest wist ons veel te vertellen. Wat een bijzonder stuk geschiedenis van Maastricht. Ook onze kinderen vonden het erg leuk. Ernest nam de tijd om ook hun vragen te beantwoorden.

Ps: foto's zijn gemaakt door mijn zoon van 6. ;-)

Wij werden door gids Matil rondgeleid door de Kazematten. Hij vertelde heel erg leuk, wist er heel veel van.
