Malesherbes (Delicatessen)

We were wandering and passed by the day before and saw the quiche. Came back the next day at noon, when they opened. The whole place seats 14. We had a goat cheese quiche and salad. Before those came, the owners (who are the waitresses, bartenders, and chefs) provided bread, paté crackers, cheese, and a puffed corn or rice. Also cake ... for later. The atmosphere is wonderful. The portions were generous and delicious. The prices were excellent. For an out-of-way place, we wondered how they could stay in business. Turns out, they had been there for 36 years. People know. Enjoy. We did.

If it wasn't for our host that suggested this restaurant to me, i wouldn't have found it. It is at the end of very narrow street, with just a sign indicating its presence. The place is very small and cozy. We ordered some cheese as a starter and four different main courses (duck leg, chicken, duck liver and filet mignon) with a bottle of the house wine. All plates were simply delicious, tasty and well prepared. Prices are very honest. Absolutely recommended.

I stepped out of the winter cold and into the warm embrace of this lovely little gem. My meal - roast duck leg with potatoes and vegetables - was simple and unpretentious, yet completely delicious. Staff were also warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend a visit when next in Bruges. ❤

Real beautiful "petit restaurant" with family flair! Small menue, but really good meals!!! The two ladies are very nice and let you feel like being home! We will come back definitiv!

Hidden gem! Small restaurant, very warm interior and great food.

We hand a delicious lunch there. They have a fixed lunch menu that includes a main dish and a dessert or coffee. That day they had a duck leg with potatoes and vegetables. They were closing in 15 minutes but they still let us in, and were very friendly.

After just being in Paris, I was beyond surprised to have a meal that outdid everything I had eaten there. This place is a gem, everything is delicious, the service is wonderful, and the vibe was exactly right.

What a great find this little restaurant is. Went here for a Friday lunch and was impressed by the friendly service and quality of food. Highly recommended.

Found by accident during our wander around the city and fortunate to get a table as it is only a very small restaurant. Lovely food and service and lovely little extra amuse bouche to start and strong hot coffee with cake to finish. Very accommodating with our kid also allowing us to order a starter as her main meal. Portion sizes are very generous and I was still very full by dinnertime despite a long wander around the city. Highly recommend.

Loved this delicatessen restaurant/ cafe. It is small but what a choice of dishes. Simple, good, well put together and delicious! We had 3 starters - smoked duck, fish pate and prawns in Ricard sauce - and could only wish we had the appetite for the mains as well. The cassoulet looked delicious on the next table! Friendly maitresse d' and chef.

Such a contrast from places on main streets. A delightful French cafe, wonderful in every way.

A little female-owned business that serves the most delicious 2course meals over lunch and dinner. We were their last customers so we really did get the best service of the day!😄 The duck was tasty and soft- cooked to perfection! I highly recommend if you are ever in Brugge😊

Small lovely restaurant in Bruges. The food was wonderful! I had coq au vin and my husband had duck confit. The meat was very moist with delicious sauces and sides. The owner greeted us warmly, and service was excellent. We would definitely eat here again.

Amazing. Can't fault it. Small place. Proper home cooked food. Delicious. Super friendly ladies.
