Flamingo Grand Hotel & Spa

We had a lovely time in November, and we've already booked our next 2 visits! Spacious studio, great food and fantastic white wine, the staff is super-kind and welcoming. We liked the SPA and the connection to the 25-meter swimming pool in Dobrudja hotel. I highly recommend Elena, the cosmetic lady at the Spa in Flamingo, she made my face so radiant, that even my husband noticed, and her recommendations were priceless!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Flamingo Grand Hotel & Spa in Albena, and overall, it was a lovely experience for our relaxing week-long vacation.

The hotel itself is nice, with clean and comfortable rooms that provided a pleasant stay. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful views from our room, and the proximity to the beach was a definite plus. Being able to easily access the beach added to the convenience and enjoyment of our stay.

Albena is a tranquil and safe resort location, perfect for those seeking a peaceful getaway. We felt at ease exploring the area, and the serene atmosphere contributed to the overall relaxation of our vacation.

The hotel's outdoor pool was great, and we were especially impressed by the amazing indoor thermal SPA. Spending time in the thermal mineral pool, steam room, and sauna was a rejuvenating experience. The SPA facilities provided a wonderful opportunity to unwind and pamper ourselves.

The rooms were cleaned daily, but we did learn that it was necessary to place the cleaning tag on the door. It's important to remember this to ensure the daily cleaning service. However, the housekeeping staff maintained a high standard of cleanliness and ensured our rooms were tidy and comfortable.

The breakfast at Flamingo Grand Hotel & Spa was truly amazing. There was a wide variety of options available, catering to different tastes and preferences. The abundance of choices allowed us to start our day with a delightful meal and set a positive tone for the rest of the day.

While the dinner spread was also nice, we did notice a lack of variety throughout the week, which made it slightly repetitive. It would be wonderful if the dinner menu offered more diversity, as it can become monotonous to have the same dishes every evening during a longer stay.

We did find that the reception staff could benefit from better training in terms of customer service. Although they were efficient, their demeanor lacked warmth and friendliness. A smile and a more welcoming attitude would have better reflected the standard of a five-star hotel. Similarly, we felt that the restaurant staff could be more friendly and accommodating. Their overall demeanor seemed tense, which slightly affected the dining experience.

One of the highlights of our stay was the presence of FunPoint Bulgaria's kids club, run by their enthusiastic staff. The in-house kids club provided a wide range of activities and entertainment for children. Our kids had an amazing time, and it was a significant bonus to have such a dedicated and engaging facility within the resort.

Note on currency exchange:
It is better to carry cash of your home currency and get it exchanged at the hotel or outside at the exchange centers. Do not use the ATM at the hotel reception or WU since the charges are extravagent. In general it is possible to pay by Mastercard or Visa in many places, and this is the best way whenever available since you get the best exchange rates.

In conclusion, Flamingo Grand Hotel & Spa offered a wonderful environment for a relaxing week-long vacation. The hotel provided clean and comfortable rooms with beautiful views, a fantastic outdoor pool, and an amazing indoor thermal SPA. The breakfast was outstanding, and the presence of FunPoint Bulgaria's kids club added extra enjoyment for our little ones. However, some areas for improvement include increasing dinner variety and enhancing the friendliness and customer service skills of the reception and restaurant staff.

Despite these minor areas of improvement, we had a pleasant and rejuvenating stay at Flamingo Grand Hotel & Spa. It served as a fantastic resort for a week of relaxation. We would consider returning in the future and recommend it to others seeking a tranquil and enjoyable getaway. We aould also not mind visiting again in future.

The walks along the beach were peaceful and pleasant.

The food was awesome, our room light flooded and very spacious. The spa area with indoor pool, caldarium, sauna and steam bath was beautiful, clean and adding a nice addition choice to the beach. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We had a great time staying there and I would book there again.
It was best to be early for breakfast and late for dinner since otherwise it was relatively crowded.

Quiet and peaceful place. Excellent service. We were on the eighth floor and the view was unique. The pools were clean and there was enough space for all guests. The beach is close and you can use a free sunbed and umbrella.

Very professional, warm and hospitable staff. Great service, going above and beyond expectations. The breakfast and dinner buffet food is of good variety and quality; definitely worth the price. Only a short walk away from the beach.

Great staff, great food, great rooms!

Clean and tidy place. Comfortable room. Polite and helpful staff. Great breakfast! Couple of pools belonging to the hotel. Close to the beach. Problem is finding a spot at the beach since many guests "reserve" a place by putting towels there and showing up in the afternoon while other people wonder where to sit. Very unpleasant and the hotel doesn't seem to have a policy to overcome this although they are trying to fix it. Excellent impressions otherwise!

A very good hotel. Spacious rooms good for a family of 4, kitchenette, huge bathroom with a shower and separate bath tub, a totally separate second WC. Outdoor pools suitable for all ages - the kids love the mini aqua park with slides.
And the food is amazing, second to none. I recommend the Full Board. All meals are delicious with a huge variety suitable for all diets.

Overall all a great experience. The hotel is very beautiful. There are many waterslides for little children and pools. The room are realively big and the staff is really nice. The food in the hotel restaurant is great. Many options to choose from. The view from the room is also beautiful 😍. I believe also that everyone from the hotel gets a free place on the beach. In conclusion this is one of the best family hotels in the whole country

The hotel is amazing. It's truly 5 stars hotel (which is rare for Bulgaria). The staff is welcoming and professional. They offer lots of things, are close to the beach and a walking street. The food is also yummy 😄 I've visited lots of hotels in Bulgaria, includong 5 stars hotels, and I can definitely say that Flamingo Grand was the best one. Happy with my staying

Very nice hotel in a really special resort. We really enjoyed our stay, this is in fact second year in a roll that we spend here. The hotel is not brand New, but it is Very well maintained. The People Who work here really give their Best to privide the Best service possible. This resort is the perfect place for the whole family.

Excellent standard throughout, though they seem confused as to what their official Star rating is. The catering was utterly brilliant, and we stopped as half-board (which effectively meant we could get away with a snack for lunch). The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the pool was delicious.

I'd suggest upgrading the smoke detectors as I use an e-cigarette and got disturbed a couple of evenings because my vapour set off the smoke alarm. Moving onto the balcony was no issue though as the nights were lovely and warm.

We went when the International Police Association were holding their 62nd World Congress (September 2017), and it was splendid seeing all the uniforms and being treated to their entertainment while eating our evening meal.

I've had a great time at Flamingo Grand.
The food was fantastic and the personnel was very friendly and helpful.
I have initially rated it 4 stars because, when I arrived, the safe in the room was not working. However, the receptionist suggested that I temporarily use one of the safes in the reception. The next day, the room safe was fixed.

Lovely 5 star spa hotel. The staff are very friendly and approachable. There are 3 outdoor pools at the hotel, one with a slide and water feature for children. There is also an indoor pool.There is a children's club for younger children. The staff organise water polo for the older children. The spa offers beauty treatments. You can opt to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel, with options of different restaurants to choose from. The breakfast on offer is fantastic, with lot's to choose from. The rooms have a mini kitchen and fridge. The rooms have a balcony. Our room had a lovely big bath. The beds were comfortable. There is a beach very close to the hotel and as a guest of the hotel you get the use of 2 sunlongers and umbrella. There are lots of restaurants near the hotel as well as shops to buy things.

Great place withot any compromise necessary. I can offer for families with small children as well as couples or single travellers looking for some place to take a rest. The panorama from the room is excellent. Flamingo's kitchen also can offer various and good meals.
I can"t say any negative point.
Flamingo Grand is a good price/value ratio.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Great service. Best breakfast ever. Everything is cozy and you actually have anything you could ever need arm-length alway. Beautiful view.

Clean rooms and a beautiful panoramic views at the seaside of the Black sea.....sunrise and sunshine looks like it's happening in the same place, even iy s happening opposite......it s something wich I cannot describe in words.
