Villa Melnik

A wonderful family that makes great wines from very interesting local varieties as well as from well known international grapes. We enjoyed an incredible visit in October 22. One year later we are enjoying their wines back home for Christmas and it only gets better.

Beautiful small family owned winery with personal touch, excellent wines and beautiful views! The owners were really attentive to the visitors and took a lot of time to take us around the winery and explain us in details about the wine making process! We loved it and will visit it again for sure!

An amazing experience! My boyfriend and I took the 30lv tour and really enjoyed it! The guide was professional and knowledgeable (she's also fluent in English so the whole thing went smoothly).
The grape picking was 10/10

We booked easily by email, they are very open for tourism. We could visit on a Sunday morning, great timing for us. We had a tour of the winery by a knowledgeable and friendly young man. We learnt about local grape varieties and their wine making process. We the enjoyed the tasting of 7 wines with cheese and meats and at the end we had a walk through the vineyard and a presentation of the grapes and process, being able to pick some grapes.

Winery melnik located 10 minutes from melnik, very beautiful place surrounding by vineyard and green hills, an interesting tour, you can see the distilleries and the cellar
there are couple of taste packs starting from 5 lb.
you can buy a bottle with your name engraved and stored at the cellar as many years as you like, of course you can come by and drink
casual glass of wine or buy wine a variety of wines

Thoroughly enjoyed sampling 5 wines with a couple of cheeses and some cured meats. We sampled 1 white, 1 rose, 2 reds and a sweet red. The lady talked us through the wine and answered all our questions. We did not see the winery (our choice) but had a short walk around the vineyard. Our dog was welcomed too.

We went there on Sunday, after a weekend in Melnik. It was empty of others tourists. We booked a tour with 3 wine tasting and it last about 30min. After that we were served of some water, bread and cheese and four or five wines tasting. They are really friendly showing and answering everything about the region or their wine. They also have a good variety of wine to sell. I recommend a visit there.

We had a really nice time visiting the cellar, ending with an amazing wine testing. I must highlight the staff treatment. Highly recommended.

An amazing winery! They offer a tour through the facility both in English or Bulgarian. Very friendly staff, great selection of wines, technology and they offer wine testings.
Edit. Our second time there. They offer descriptions in English and we're as friendly as always.

Had an amazing time tasting delicious wines and touring the beautiful underground tunnels that serve as the wine cellar. Service was really nice and they gave us all the time to take pictures and explain everything and answer all our questions. Highly recommend and will be back! Thank you

Great place with many events every year thanks to the family owners - Zikatanovi. Come here for Trifon Zarezan - every year around 14th of February for one of the biggest celebrations of the region with folklore dancers and singers 😍

Great place! I do recommend asking for fresh grapes - you'll have a chance to go, pick and cut your own!

The wine tour we had was amazing! Our guide did a interesting presentation of the whole facility and answered all our questions! The tour itself was really cool and is a must for every wine enthusiast. The wine degustation was great - the selection of wines was outstanding and the assorted appetizers were a great fit for them! All of that was combined with the amazing view from the winery. Bottom line, I would definitely visit again and would recommend to others!

This winery is so varied, so beautiful, sooooo welcoming. I just want to visit it again!
