It’s a big museum which consist of a few houses.
The first one is all for the Panagyurishte Treasure - ancient gold treasure dating from 3rd century before Christ.
The museum includes the Dudekova’s house - a house in Bulgarian renaissance style with an interesting story from back then.
The third house is for maybe the most important event of the Bulgarian history- the April uprising. There are many exponents of weapons and clothes from that time and many real ones.
There is a nice little park between the houses and in the corner of it you can see recreation of a Bulgarian renaissance street

The entrance fee for students and elderly is 4BGN and for adults is 6BGN. This option includes a pass for all of the museums of Panagyurishte and a map of the town on the back of the pass. The other option is 1BGN cheaper.

There is plenty of text everywhere and media guides in Bulgarian and English. The service is kind and helpful, but it’s probably that they don’t speak a lot of English.

The museum is equipped with facilities for disabled people.

Must see museum!
Although the gold is replica (original is in Sofia) it is made as the real one.
Take a combo ticket for all museums in town as all worth visiting

Went with the family there. The Panagyurishte Gold Treasure was of course the centerpiece. But there was so much more to see! A must visit for everyone!

It is one of the most important places to visit not only in Panagyurishte, but in the whole state. It contains several houses and halls. You can see the world famous Panagyurishte Thracian gold treasure. In Dudekova’s house and Deyanov’s house you can feel the spirit of Bulgarian Renaissance living. The main hall includes Thracian archeological exposition and artefacts from the April Uprising from 1876. The house museum of Raina Knyaginya who sewed the flag of the Uprising is also a part of the tour.

24.8.2019 very nice little museum with exact copies of the treasure and nice explanation of the artefacts, even better than at archaeolog.museum in Sofia, friendly guards, area looks like an ethno-village with nice garden. Also very interesting exhibition about the foreplay of the 1876-uprising without the usual extreme pathos. Highly recommend not to use the 801-road from Sofia as there are numberless deep holes!

The museum is one of the most important landmarks in the town, because there you can find the popular treasure.

The exhibition itself is currated very good and professional. There is also a gift shop with interesting magnets and postcards.

Interesting and well-made. The rooms and artefacts are ordered and combined with idea and knowledge and it is really easy to learn a piece of the history while entertaining in the same time. Loved the gold excibition.
