The visit was amazing! The garden is big so make sure to have at least 2 hours saved for just walking. One of the houses in the garden sells niche wines like wine from garlic or from figs or from roses or rakia from coconut. Strongly recommend having comfortable shoes because the garden is a combination of walking down stairs and climbing.

This is a must in your visit trip. It's a great place, relaxing and green on the sea side full of history charge. Regina Maria of Romania was an important state role.

The impeccable arrangement, the 19th century ambience and the location very close to the sea makes you think how happy you can be in that place. An excellent job done by the administration of the botanical garden and the palace. We appreciated the wine and sweet tastings and enjoyed a walk around the palace grounds. It is very easy to reach and there are supervised parking spaces (with payment), restaurants and small shops on the spot.

Like a fairytale.
The garden is amazing in all seasons, the place the same. Even if you don't go when floweres are bloomed, still worth the walk. The castle is small, not really a castle but the history about it makes it interesting.
Really recommend this place!
Entrance fee 15 leva for garden, 7 leva for castle.

One of the oldest botanical gardens. Hundreds of years old memories touch these alleys.

We had an amazing experience at The University Botanical Garden and The Palace! The entry fee is affordable and especially for retired persons and students! Since my last visit, everything is changed and looking wonderful! Great job! 👌

8 Lev / £4 entry - absolute bargain. Spent 2 hours wandering around the grounds, and we're not very horticultural. Large array of beautiful plants & trees on view, plus waterfalls, woods, and even wine tasting at the Queen's Winery. The long, steep descent, down the narrow winding stairs to The Palace & beach, is reminiscent of a medieval castle.

We had a very nice walk in the garden. A large surface, with different plants, a lot to see. The garden is composed by many levels, and the path goes down to the level of the seafront using stairs that go down, to the palace, and then back up to the royal guesthouses. All of it, it's beautiful. You have to buy thickets for the gardens and also for the palace, at least this is what we were told. Even If the palace is small and you can see it in a few minutes, I think the gardens deserve the price.

Very nice and interesting garden! There are many flowers, cactuses and huge trees, and the view is amazing! It is located very close to Balchik Palace. I think everyone should visit the gardens and have an amazing day. The view from above is amazing!

Now, let's talk about the gardens!
There are libraries of books and galleries of paintings that present them, which all compiled cannot describe the elating feeling you have walking among the enchanting flowers, standing in front of the waterfall or admiring the Silver Sea through the blossoming branches of exotic trees.
All crowned by the eclectic Palace, the home of the beloved Romanian Queen Mary.
Enjoy and go live it!
With love&joy,
AMA

A truly beautiful & diverse Botanical Garden in a stunning location. Former garden of the Romanian Queen & her home which can also be visited, lies within its grounds. Panoramic views out over the Black Sea. Truly awe-inspiring & a must see place for anyone in the vicinity.

Amazing gardens with wide variety of species. What makes it even more special is the location in the Balchik palace. The entrance for the 2 is the same and paying tickets for both is compulsory. You would need at least 4 hours to enjoy both the gardens and the palace.
