Main Square Porongo

The town square is small but cozy, it has a church and a soccer field...Restaurants are open on Saturdays and Sundays and there is a greater attendance, for children on Sunday halibut horses to go around the Plaza. Very quiet place to rest!

Porongo is a little town outside Santa Cruz, very closed by, and it is a very nice place to visit, the main square holds a fair on weekends and you can find all sort of souvenirs and organic food, like honey.
It’s a must visit if you are in Santa Cruz.
You’ll find a lot of places to eat and you’ll eat really good stuff.
Te people are very friendly... you’ll love it (it’s just for a short visit, be warned).
Among other things, you’ll find “achachairu” (on the correct season, which is from December to February). Get a lot of it... it’s amazing.

It’s a quaint little place. The small town gets together there to play soccer and have time with friends and family. Really nice

It was the most wonderful experience, a peaceful, clean place and people was just adorable, lots of tamborileros and comparsas for the carnival.

Es primera vez que visito Porongo, me ha gustado muchisimo la plaza, las calles laterales, tomarse un helado en la plaza habia sido algo tradicional y lo hice. Disfruté mucho ese paseo, los arboles, la iglesia y el clima. Es un lugar al que volveria varias veces.

Muy bonita la plaza, es grande y amplia con mucho árboles alrededor para poder pasear bajo sombra, con su cancha de fútbol en el centro.

El achachairu en la tarde es mas barato,no compren en la mañana
