My family of 4 (2 teenagers) did the 3 day 2 night tour at Chuchini. We booked it as a Beni alternative to tours around Rurre and we were not disappointed. Ibis and Miriam and their family have a fabulous place - the reserve has been privately owned for more than 50 years and if you are lucky you can observe a large range of wild life there. We saw lots of beautiful birds, capybaras, alligators, crocodiles, a sloth, monkeys and pink dolphins. We also enjoyed the company of Balancia the VERY cheeky monkey, the Andean ostrich and blue macaw that live around the lodge. We had a great day on the rivers - swimming, piranha fishing and relaxing in the hammocks; we trekked through the jungle, rode on horses through the jungle, fished in the lagoon for piranhas all under the guidance of very knowledgeable and fun guide Agosto. The night tour is crazy but we got to hold and release alligators & crocodiles. Lastly the museum is fascinating. The food and refreshments were amazing as well. We would highly recommend this tour and recommend you check out their You Tube channel to see the animals captured in bush cameras - jaguars, pumas, tapirs, anteater’s etc. This place is not only good for tourists but animals as well (but it’s NOT a zoo - it’s the wild). Enjoy and support this lovely family’s great work protecting the land so animals can continue to be on this planet.

Absolute a recommended place to stay. If you are searching for a peaceful place with quality tours / excursions into the jungle, lagoons and the Amazone rivers this paradise in the Trinidad area is definitely worth visiting.

We did a two day tour and booked an extra night. Everything was well scheduled and they made sure we enjoyed the most. The tour groups are between 2 and 6 people, but if you are with a bigger group that can be arranged as well. We got lucky since we were the only ones for the most of the duration.

I was amazed by the amount knowledge our guides had and shared with us, they knew a lot about the birds, other animals and fauna.

I had the most amazing time here. Miriam and Ibis (and of course the rest of the staff) are so helpful and friendly. A warm welcome, great tours, delicious food and loads of domesticated and wild animals in the vicinity.
I would have loved to stay a few extra days!
Also great and easy Communication and organisation before arrival!

Wow, what a special place! Not only is it a eco wildlife conservation area it's also an archeological site.
We spent 2 days 3 nights.
There's various activities that you can do here and you don't hand to do then all if you don't want to.
We spent a day on the river, had lunch & mud spa, relaxed in hammocks on the way back, saw a young sloth swimming towards another bank on the river, pink dolphin bobbing around, swimming in the river and probably more - oh and a Cayman.
We did a little horse ride, jungle walk, tour through the archeological museum that's on site, night tour on the lagoon for crocodile, cayman or alligator spotting!

The owners are lovely and kind people, your fed plenty of more local style food - which is yummy!

To note: this being a wildlife conservation area you are not guaranteed to see the animals you might want to. The facilities are clean, functional and simple.
In short we had great sleep with the wonderful night sound of the jungle and morning symphony! - We loved it.
Thank you
🙏 💚

I took the 3-day tour. One of the best tours I have ever taken! Miriam and Ibis are such wonderful hosts - they took excellent care of me, provided me with an amazing itinerary, fed me very well, made sure that I had everything I and the rest of the group needed. And Augusto (I hope I spelled his name correctly) is hands-down the best tour guide I have ever had!! The nature there is astonishing and there are exotic animals everywhere. Also. This is not another soulless money-grabbing business. These people never over-charge or upsell, they show great care for the comfort of their guests, preserve the environment and even rehabilitate animals. I am already recommending this place to all my friends.

We did the four day tour and had an absolute blast! We couldn’t have asked for better hosts- Miriam and her husband were so hospitable and lovely. They shared a lot of jungle knowledge with us and showed us lots of cool sights and interesting wildlife. I would highly recommend staying at their ecolodge and doing one of their tours :)

What an amazing spot to get in touch with the Amazon. Such a tranquil place (as tranquil as it gets in the jungle, surrounded by a constant and enchanting roaring, squawking and chirping.)
Miriam, Ibis and their team are doing a fantastic job making this extraordinary lodge in the wilderness one's temporary home - with heartwarming welcomes, great food and the one or other adventure in the Amazon jungle.
(Of course - you'll encounter mosquitoes, bugs and sweatbreaking humidity. But hey, that's the part of the adventure. Don't go to the jungle if you're not up for that).
I highly and wholeheartedly recommend that special place, hoping to be able to come back again. Thanks!!

We would like to thank Miriam and Efrem for their hospitality and memorable stay! It was an amazing experience, we felt so good! We liked every moment, we got warm after cold nights in the mountains, we saw so many birds and animals, and we tasted so many new meals, fruits and juices. And above all that was their care and attention ❤. Aligator tour, boat and jungle tours, mud bath, climbing the tree - so many interesting activities and experiences! We are so happy that we found Chichini and met Miriam, Efrem, their children and our guide Augusto! Highly recommended!

Nestled in the Bolivian Amazon, this eco camp has it all. The hosts Miriam and Ibis have done an excellent job providing their guests with the best experience that you can have. You can do boat rides out to the different rivers where you will see a plethora of birds and wildlife including the pink river dolphin, go fishing for piranhas, do a night trip to spot out nocturnal animals and learn about the difference between crocodiles, alligators, and caimans, take a walk through the jungle and learn about the different trees and plants that have sustained people living in this region for years, or just sit out and relax and enjoy the views of peacefulness and tranquility with the many animals around the lodge. The food here was great for every single meal as the cook they have on site will make you some of the best traditional food, and the fresh fruit juices they make daily will quench your thirst after a hike in the jungle. Around the lodge there are plenty of animals to be seen such as parrots and Capuchin Monkeys swinging from trees and a squirrel monkey that hangs around named Valencia. The owners are very knowledgeable of the culture from thousands of years ago and even have a small museum with artifacts that show how the Beni Culture came to be. The English speaking guide Augusto was great as he speaks very good English and Spanish and the trips he takes you on are mesmerizing as his knowledge of the area is great, and he is very accommodating. All of these experiences and the relaxing environment made it hard to leave after five days and it is a place that will always be high on my list of stuff to do in Bolivia.

If you find yourself surrounded by the beauty of wildlife & nature, playing with small monkeys, riding on the back of a horse through the jungle, swiming close to dolphins in the river, learning about the difference between aligators and crocodiles while holding one of them, eating fresh fruits for breakfast, being served cold juices after every activity and all that surrounded by a lovely family and even lovelier guide, then you know you landed in chuchini <3 PS: just a friendly reminder - you're in the middle of the jungle. so yes, it's hot. and yes, there are mosquitos ;) Gracias por todo!

We stayed for three days / two nights as tourists and one more week ss volunteers. The lodge is an amazing place in the amazon area near Trinidad in Bolivia and the family who runs the place is really nice. They care for you the whole day, meals are great and you can really enjoy the jungle vibes including all the wild animals around you.

This place is just totally amazing. If you are planning to go to the amazon there is no better place to experience it. It feels like coming home. They are giving you full service and are the most caring and humble people. Ibis also know everything about the nature and the animals. The place is nice and quite and in the middle of the jungle with the river in front. Go there to spot aligators and crocodiles during night, fish pirayas, ride horses in the jungle and see all the birds. The accomodation and food is also super good. I promise you, you will have the best time here.

Chuchini is such an amazing experience!
I did the 4 day 3 night tour and saw so much wildlife. Miriam and Ibis are both fantastic hosts and such wildlife experts. My favourite parts of the tour were the boat tour to see the pink river dolphins and the night time alligator tour where Ibis would pluck small alligators from the lagoon and tell us all about them, all in the setting of a quiet night boat ride with the amazing stars above us, it was magical!
On our first day we had a lagoon boat tour and saw sloths, monkeys, turtles and so many birds. We also saw capybara right by the property too. The next day we went on the river cruise and saw so many pink river dolphins which was my favourite part of the tour. We also swam in the river with the dolphins (who normally stay away from humans, but they got up to 3m close to us!) That is a memory I will never forget! Again, both Miriam and Ibis are such experts that they were able to spot them from far away and spurred the boat around to bring fish up so that the dolphins would be more active.
There were also lots of other activities like zip lining in the lagoon, piranha fishing, horseback riding through the jungle, jungle trekking and learning about the archeology at Chuchini at their museum (very fascinating!)
On top of all of that Miriam and Ibis were so kind and caring though out the tour. They catered to everyone on the tours needs (for example there was a birdwatcher in our group and they made special care to slow down the boat for him to get a good photo of birds etc.) I felt really looked after. The food was also very good, and they kept us well fed and hydrated with delicious fruit juices.
There are lots of mosquitos around and the accommodation is basic (as you would expect being that close to wildlife and in the jungle) but it was all very worth it to see all the wildlife that we did. I would highly recommend to everyone coming to Bolivia and certainly would want to come back.

Amazing people, amazing quiet location and trip tailored to our needs. Food was the best I’ve had in Bolivia. Saw incredible wildlife from crocodiles to porcupines to many sloths and birds. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for an alternative to the overrun Rurranebaque!

We did the 3 days/2 nights tour and loved every second.

I took the three days/two nights package that was offering jungle/pampas tours and a boat trip and i suggest everyone to try that. Staff is warm welcoming and caring all of the time that your're having fun in the way that better suits your expectations. You'll see plenty of exotic animals and have all the time you need to admire them or take pictures, with the guides answering all questions. Food is varied and delicious and staff will NEVER allow you to become deyhdrated as they are continuolsly filling your glass with fresh water or exotic juice. In the hot climate there that's a blessing. Accomodations are simple but nice and clean and you have hammocks everywere!

Chuchini was an all round five star experience. Miriam and Efrem were fantastic hosts, really friendly and laid back but always going out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Chuchini was easily one of the best experiences we had in South America. It was a great way to explore that part of the Amazon basin and see up close alligators, crocodiles, monkeys, birds and whether that be by boat, horseback or on foot. The hosts passion for and knowledge of the history, wildlife and conservation of the areas environment was extremely impressive and they conveyed this to us whilst all the while delivering a very well organised and professionally managed experience. The food was outstanding and was some of the best we had on our trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chuchini!

Wonderful! I highly recommend the Chuchini reserve to discover wildlife in the Amazon rainforest and pampas. The ressort lies in the middle of the rainforest, by a beautiful laguna. Enjoy fantastic tours in the nature, good local food, a very friendly atmosphere or just lying in a hammock by the laguna. We stayed 3 nights here: a highlight!
