The hotel inside is incredible ! Built mostly out of salt, the amenities, pool, spa, restaurant are a testament to the architecture. A great place to relax after spending a 3 day trip from Atacama to the Bolivian Salt flats. Note there isn’t much to do around the hotel and transportation. But great if you want to spend one or two nights relaxing

Beautiful decor that conveys Bolivian culture. Hallways have gorgeous art pieces all made out of salt. It very tranquil and a place to really relax and enjoy. I wish the SPA had more seating area and maybe a cold plunge. I loved the rooms roof - dome made entirely of salt bricks. All hotel walls are made out of salt. It is incredible. The rooms bathroom gets too hot in the summer due to its clear roof. That’s my only complaint. The food is AMAZING ! I wish they had maybe more activities at night. Great WiFi too.

Beautiful hotel and lovely spa, very well presented. Food was good, lunch was very overpriced for Limited choices but that is my only criticism.

The hotel is probably the best in the whole area of Uyuni. It is build by salt bricks.
I will grade it with 5 star only because it is in a remote place and some things are difficult. If it was placed in Europe or in USA I will grade it with 4 Stars.
The staff is friendly, the room we stayed was quite spacious and clean with view towards the flats.
The Breakfast is buffet but you can order your eggs or omelette. There is a large selection of foods and they have frech juices of orange, papaya, strawberry, mango - they are really fresh because there is a guy there making them at the moment. The only negative is the bread - many kinds of bread but with no taste. The dinner is also a buffet with a large variety - if you there always try the quinoa and the meat.
Across the dinning area there is a very nice sitting area when you can relax and have some drinks.
Regarding the spa I don’t have any comments because they had maintenance during our stay

Incredible experience. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Service and food are excelent.
The restaurant provides excelent food, having buffet with variety of food and drinks.
The bar has delicious drinks that are mixed with different Bolivian herbs or mixers.
The heated pool and spa is a good place to relax and it also has vapor and dry sauna. Beautiful place.
They also provide tours to different places with drivers and guides that over passed our expectations. I highly recommend the hotel and tours.

Fabulous hotel with good bar and restaurant and a very relaxing spa area. Standard rooms are quite small and can be very hot if you don't shut down the hydronic heating.

This place is perfect for a relaxing break after exploring Uylni or doing the travessia from or towards Chile or Argentina.

Really enjoyed the experience at Palacio de Sal. The hotel itself is beautiful, with surprisingly great food (we had both breakfast & dinner)! Beds and rooms were great and the staff really kind and hardworking.

Thank you to all for such a wonderful stay.

We stayed here 2 nights and we really enjoyed it. It’s the only luxury hotel in the Uyuni salts. The hotel is mostly made of
salt.

They have a nice pool area to relax.
They also have a bar area to enjoy drinks. The restaurant is good, it’s buffet with some decent choices.

If your going to stay in the Uyuni this is by far the nicest hotel

The best hotel near Salt Flat. Partly built of salt. Spacious, clean. The ceilings in the rooms are salt brick domes. Unfortunately, standard rooms have windows to the hotel corridors. An ideal place for rest and relaxation. The hotel has everything you need to regenerate: swimming pool, steam sauna, jacuzzi, sun loungers by the pool - all overlooking the Salt Flat. In the restaurant you can eat a good dinner served as a buffet. At the club you can play billiards or simply relaxing by the fireplace with a drink. Hotel is 20 minutes from the Salt Flat on foot.

Considering you are in the Uyuni salt plains 30 minutes from the main town, and you are surrounded by nothing but salt plains, this place is excellent. Lovely foyer, restaurant and bar area, very comfortable rooms with igloo ceilings made of salt. This is 5 star living in a uniquely inhospitable area. Highly recommended.

As a seasoned veteran of the hospitality industry, I confess I am not easily impressed. However, this visit to the Palacio de Sal with my family of seven was a resounding and delightful exception.

From the moment we stepped into this uniquely constructed salt hotel, we were captivated. The architecture is a masterpiece, a harmonious blend of natural beauty and innovative design. The rooms were spacious, comfortably housing our large family without any sense of crampedness. The novelty of sleeping on salt beds added an unanticipated thrill to our stay.

The staff at the Palacio de Sal deserves the highest accolades. Their dedication to service was evident in every interaction. Every member of the team, from the reception to the guides, demonstrated a level of hospitality that was both personal and professional, making us feel at home in this unique setting.

An absolute highlight of our stay was the wide variety of high-quality facilities offered by the hotel. The indoor saltwater pool was a hit among the younger members of our family, while the adults found solace in the tranquility of the sauna after a day of touring. The communal areas were the perfect blend of modern sophistication and rustic charm.

The dining experience at Palacio de Sal was a gastronomic delight. The restaurant offered a diverse menu of Bolivian and international dishes, each with a unique, salt-infused twist. The creativity and quality of the food far exceeded our expectations.

The spa services provided by the hotel were a heavenly treat for our family, including my 85-year-old father. The staff were exceptionally skilled, their treatments rejuvenating and tailored to each individual's needs. My father, in particular, deeply appreciated the attentiveness and care demonstrated during his spa treatments, which catered to his age and comfort.

The tours organized by the hotel were a remarkable journey through the mesmerizing landscapes of the Salar de Uyuni. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate, making our exploration of the salt flats both fun and educational. The excitement of the 4x4 rides and the beauty of the salt mounds and sunsets were experiences none of us will forget.

In conclusion, as someone with high expectations and a critical eye, I can confidently say that Palacio de Sal exceeded all our anticipations. It is indeed a unique gem in the heart of Salar de Uyuni, offering top-notch service, unique architecture, a gastronomic adventure, rejuvenating spa services, and memorable tours. I give my highest recommendation to any large family seeking an unforgettable journey. Our family left with hearts full of joy, and memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

This was a great hotel and luxury stay on its own, but considering the remote-ness of the location, this was even more impressive. (We also booked a 3 day tour of the salar through this hotel, which was incredible.) Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were spacious, clean, and very impressive with the salt ceilings. (Our bathroom had a bit of a weird smell, but since it was our last night we didnt tell the front desk and give them them opportunity to fix it, so i wont hold it against them.) Beds were also very comfortable (best sleep while in Uyuni). Buffet dinners and breakfasts were expansive and had great options for a variety of tastes and appetites. Free welcome cocktails were a nice touch, and the cocktails on the regular menu were top-notch! (On par with craft cocktails in any high-end cocktail bar in a big city). I also enjoyed a massage treatment at the spa, which was lovely and well priced. Be aware of the altitude in Uyuni and bring appropriate meds if you need! Would definitely recommend.

Incredible experience. Everything and everyone were excellent. We got a complete package with Hidalgo tours. They picked us at the airport and dropped us off at the airport. All were included. The hotel, tours, food 🙏🏻

Our experience at Hotel Palacio de Sal in March was absolutely incredible. Everything from the food to the staff and the sheer beauty and luxury of the hotel itself was something we won't forget. The next time we are back in Bolivia, we want to come and stay more than one night at this amazing place. The hospitality that we experienced was wonderful and we want to thank all of the staff for being so kind and helpful. We would not want to stay anywhere else when visiting the salt flats. While for some, this experience may be a splurge, I can guarantee it is worth the money. Gracias a todos al Hotel Palacio de Sal por la hospitalidad. Ojalá podamos volver pronto.

What a beautiful hotel this is! It's a unique experience to stay right next to the Salar de Uyuni. The facilities are amazing, especially the pool with sunset views. The rooms are really comfy and we had an amazing night of sleep.

This is definitely the best hotel in the area and also the best for access to the Salt Flats, your right next to it and don’t have to rely on transport to take you there. It’s a beautiful hotel with nice rooms and great service. You can walk onto the salt flats anytime of day or hire a bike from the hotel to go in further. The sunsets and sunrises are spectacular with amazing colours. Highly, highly recommended!!

This is a big upgrade for the area. It has long hallways that intersect, made of salt with wood floors. A very nice bar
And meeting area as well as a huge dining room with a bufet. And a view of the lake. The food is good.
15 years ago the only hotel
Was a 1 or 2 star.
Winner.

It is a unique experience in Bolivia. The hotel offers you amenities and accommodations so that you only worry about visiting Uyuni's Salt Flat. The whole hotel is built with salt and wood, completely impressive.

The food is not good, but it is the best option available in the evening. Don't waste time looking for another place, instead spend your time visiting the Salt Flat. The hotel has a really cool shop that you should check out, ask in the front door if it is not open.

Lovely hotel, completely made out of salt. Felt luxurious. Pool was great but sauna not working when we went. Dinner was ok, but nothing vegetarian.
