SuzyQ Doughnuts Hintonburg

I love the donuts here, especially the seasonal ones like matcha, mango, red velvet….etc. I recently bought customized donuts on Valentine’s Day, my partner loved it. Raspberry is bit tangy but rest of them are amazingly tasty.

I love this SuzyQ location and the staff are so incredibly sweet, patient, and friendly. Genuinely one of the best ways I can think of to spend 5$ for a food item that makes me SO happy. Look at this Black Forest donut?! I don't even like black forest cake, but this donut (topped with fresh cream, no less!!) is SO good I came here to post this.

But also I was motivated because the person there today was so nice, I would not have been able to try the black forest at all if it wasn't for that individual, so thanks to them for this delight.

So delicious. Unreasonably good. I’m upset that my friend introduced me to SuzyQ. How will I ever successfully diet again?! The cookies ‘n cream was AMAZING. 10/10 recommend.

Perfect, lightly chewy donuts 😍 The Carrot Cake donut was delicious. You could taste the cream cheese and spices. love that the donuts have a few elements to them, so the flavour really comes across. We got a little cup of old-fashioned sugar-coated donut holes that tasted a million times better than the Tim's ones!

Don’t really know how to put how good these donuts are into a short review. So delicious you’ll end up using all your money on them. $4-6 for a single donut, but no regrets.

Show-stopping. Incredible. Fluffy but still dense enough to have a satisfying bite. Best donuts in Canada. The CTC (bottom leftmost) is the best.

My favourite donut place in Ottawa. The donuts are so light and fluffy. They are a perfect vehicle for the toppings. Some of my all time favourites include the Boston cream, pumpkin patch and anything that includes passion fruit, mango or coconut. Love that they are constantly rotating flavours.

Delicious donuts, hearty and dense dough but still light. I had the earl grey and it was great- light and natural, not artificial tasting.

Only one other person in line. Didn’t know what to order so I asked what was the most popular and that was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. My dad got the Apple Fritter. For drinks we got a drip coffee and a latte. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The donuts were soooo good! Light but also very flavorful! Just what I needed to start the morning.

By far my favourite donuts in the city! They have a great selection which often makes it difficult to choose but you can’t really go wrong. Some of my favourite flavours include sourdough vanilla, London fog and cinnamon sugar. The donuts themselves are soft and chewy and a generous size (perfect for sharing). They’re also a great treat to bring to parties as everyone always enjoys them!

Amazing spot! I’m not a desserts person at all and was just picking up something for my girlfriend, I tried one when I got home and was surprised.

The service was fast and friendly, the store ran like a food truck. It was pricey but 100% worth it. I ordered a pack of 6 assorted and paid about $25

Highly recommend the Maple Bacon Donut, probably the best dessert I’ve ever had.

The doughnuts are so yum. I love their sugar covered doughnuts. It’s so hard to find non-glazed doughnuts. The chocolate doughnuts are so good as well. It’s not too sweet. It’s just right. Only complaint here is the price. Whee-hooooo $4 for one doughnut is steep but it’s worth the price.

My cousin took me here today for my visit to Ottawa. It had the freshest donuts and the flavors were all unique. Very tasty. There was a line up to buy.

You know it’s a good thing when there’s a line up before the place opens - even when it’s below zero.

Walking in first thing in the morning is a glorious experience. The smell of freshly baked donuts wraps around and transports you to a special place.

The trickiest part is the selection - so many choices. I’m a big fan of the maple bacon and dirty chocolate.

If you want some great donuts - this is a great place.

Amazing doughnuts. Have tried almost all of the flavors and they are all great, honestly. The staff are always friendly. The actual donut, sans toppings, is so tasty too. Price isn't bad. Definitely recommend. 🍩

Personal fav is the D'ohnut and the Boston cream is also delicious.

Best donuts I’ve ever had.

Ordered the following:
-cardamom - soft, easy to pull and unique taste
-dirty chocolate - amazing. Not as sugary as it looks.
-Boston cream - there’s a reason why there’s a limit of 3. Somewhat hard chocolate shell, tender donut and not too sweet filling. The absolute perfect combo. Best donut on the menu. I love the subtle detail of the logo stamped into the layer of chocolate.
-strawberry
-chocolate chip cookie - a bit too much salt. Not the BEST cookie ever and def. not worth the price but it was decent. There are much better cookie options (in Toronto, not sure about Ottawa).
-doh’nut - Homer Simpson style donut. Amazing taste and better done than any other donut place that tries to imitate this flavour. Surprised at how good it was.

Overall, this is the best donut shop in Canada for me thus far. Texture is amazing even after keeping them in the fridge for a day. $36 for 12 items or $20 for 6. Price could be better but given the lineups at both locations mid-day, I’m sure they can justify it. Expensive but great if you want to indulge.

Came here with some friends because we were getting a special food tour from a friend who lives in town! We happened to be looking for some coffee, and stopped at rhe cafe next door but upon noticing this doughnut shop, we knew we had to come back out for one after grabbing some coffee.

🍩 It did not let me down at all haha, it was just the right amount of sour and sweet
🍩 Did not taste artificial, and was not heavy either

To be honest, I kind of regret not getting more doughnuts 😭 I guess I can always think of it as "there will always be next time" because I sure as heck have my eyes set on the following flavors:

•SourDough Vanilla Dip
•Nanaimo, BC
•Lamington (raspberry and coconut cream swirl within a double chocolate doughnut dipped in more coconut)

📝 Although it is a takeout place only, the service was really kind! I have a cinnamon allergy, and mentioned it when ordering. The person taking my order was kind enough to ask in the back if the doughnut flavors I was interested in had any cinnamon in them

Wow!!! the world best doughnuts! When I first saw the prices I thought it’s too expensive for just doughnuts but it’s not expensive for the quality and taste of doughnuts. It’s very delicious. We regret not buying 6 or 12. We ordered Raspberry, London Fog and Cinnamon. 👍🏻🍩❤

Absolutely LOVE Suzy Q. It's obvious they took their time to make sure that the vegan items they had on their menu were well made and delicious! If you plan on checking them out, I'd really recommend the Vanilla Dip Sourdough, they are phenomenal! Sooooo light and tasty. The only critical feedback I'd like to leave is that there aren’t enough vegan options, and some menu items like the D'OH!nut could have easily been veganized if they used a milk/cheese/egg alternative (there are so many!!!). Five choices isn’t enough - I’d love to see 50% of the menu vegan-friendly for variety. I'd love to see more plant-based options in the future, but I still recommend them for what they have now! Thank you!
