Walt's Dry Goods

Possibly the best shopping experience and service I’ve ever seen, and everything is good quality and reasonably priced. I rarely go to town without going in for a visit and a browse. All the basics and more: Birkenstocks, leather slippers, socks, camping and sports equipment, boots, shoes, socks, mitts… the place is crammed with goodies and there’s even more that can be brought up from the well stocked basement. It’s a delightful local treasure; don’t miss it!

Just bought a full set of winter work gear (high vis jacket & snow pants, insulated steel toes, wool base layers, wool sweater, and mitts). Everything I bought aside from the mitts were Canadian made (really important to me - I can almost never find Canadian made gear, so it was a nice surprise). The owner (or maybe employee, I didn't ask) was really helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Really small store, but stocks a lot of good clothes.

Great place - will definitely visit again if I'm ever working in the area again.

Randy always makes his customers feel great just like his dad did. Went in for some steel toe runners and came out with an entire winter wardrobe. Wish I could get there more often. It always surprises me just how much inventory he has in such a small space. All good quality and the knowledge he passes along is a lifetime of knowledge and worth listening to.

This year [2019] Walt's Dry Goods fixed my canoe for free! In previous years, Walt's has supplied me with shock cord, Stanfield's underwear, Carhartt jeans etc.This year I could not find my "Smartwool" socks for sale in my hometown in BC but that is okay because "Walt's"has lots! I also forgot my canoe trip pants in BC but that is okay because "Walt's" had an acceptable alternative. This is a wonderful store.

Great little store full of outdoor gear. They have a full selection of winter wear (I was there in January). Very helpful and knowledgable store keep. I love the boots they sold me. If you came up here without the right clothes, they'll set you up!

Has almost everything you need for work, hunting, fishing and some camping/outdoors gear as well.

I love going to Walt's. They haven't modernized anything in my whole life aside from payment options...and that actually gives it a really cool atmosphere. It suits the town.

If you are into the outdoors this is the store to go visit. Besides experienced based knowledge..quality items are available for purchase..maps, fishing, camping, clothing, footwear..etc.. everything you need.

Love it here, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable regarding all of their stock and surrounding area! They also carry wide variety of sizes and amazing brands. Definately recommend!

Friendly and very knowlageable about the area. Had all the stuff i needed to get for my fishing trip. They even have carhartts and longjohns.
