This place was great, I took my oldest daughter here, we saw a lot of new animals and we had a great time. The animals looked well taken cared of and the place was clean and pleasant. It took us about 3 hours to see the whole thing, it was a nice relax walk under lots of shade, the staff was nice and helpful, the animals did not seem miserable, it was more of a preserve than a zoo, and that’s a good thing. Recommended!

Amazing place, can't understand why it is not recommended more often! Very friendly staff that even speaks some English. Animals seem very well cared for and it's possible to get quite close as long as you don't disturb them.

This is the most amazing type of zoo I’ve been to. The fact that animals are not in cages, some are of course, like lion and puma and leopard and monkeys, but all type of birds are just flying free, and choosing to stay there… Unbelievable!
It is so big, with so many animals, we enjoyed our time here.

Beautiful and well equipped zoo. I was surprised with the amount of animals that were actually present. Some other zoos always are like "under construction" "lion is eating" "zebra died" but this zoo had on display all the species they offered.

The animals seemed to be in good condition. The green areas were super well treated and clean.

We met a kid named Jacobo, he served as a kind of mini guide and he knew everything about every corner of the Santa Fe Zoo. He was very sweet and smart.

Very cool for kids, have restaurant on site, and bathrooms are clean.

Beautiful zoo with a great staff. The staff throughout the zoo, including the women collecting the entrance fee, greeted us with a smile and were helpful throughout. Bravo to the staff. The zoo was very clean and well organized. They have bear claw prints on the ground that lead you around the zoo. There is a wide variety of animals and they all looked healthy and well fed. The butterfly exhibit was a large enclosure that you entered and there were different species of butterflies everywhere. The cost was $14,000 Pesos ($5 U.S.). What a deal. My friends and really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend visiting the zoo.

Fun park to walk, relax, and get familiar with some of the wildlife that resides in Latin America. The animals appear to be in good health and well taken care of.

Excellent park with an excellent philosophy. This was originally the Medellin Zoo. Now they have changed focus and only want to exhibit species from South America. Further more they want to concentrate on rehabilitation of trafficked animals that have been rescued. There are many interesting exhibits, and with ecology at the forefront of the business plan, I applaud this business.

Beautiful Zoo!! It’s a bit small compared to other zoos, but its space is very well distributed and clean. They also offer after school activities and programs for kids to get in touch with nature and learn to respect it. It’s great!!

Excelente experience. We went on a Wednesday when it wasn’t too packed. This allowed us to enjoy the zoo without a lot of other visitors. We arrived at the zoo around 1:20 and left at 4pm. Great place for a day out with the family.

Nice place to go with kids. The guides are friendly and teach a variety of topics regarding the animales residing in the shelter.

It's important to know that all animals here are brought from other zoos in the country, recovered from people that used to have as pets or sold them illegally.

Nice place if you have to spend like 2-3 hours.

Inside you will find a lot of animales.

I can't believe how close you can get to the animals you also have peacocks wandering around freely. The whole place is a bit outdated but definitely recommend a visit. You also have a butterfly House and a bird house which you can walk in and have them around you.

A place was great and had some animals that were able to be seen as a whole everything was great no problem getting around and they also had a children's part where they could hang out and play games

This Zoo is a very funny and entertaining experience to do when in Medellín, they offer a wide variety of habitat replicas and animals as well as plants and even butterflies, the animals are kept in good condition in well controlled and clean environment, the also offer different activities for kids and guided tours. Souvenir store is pretty good and overall prices are average. Can be done in one day, fully Recommended
