Solid Car Rental Liberia

We rented a car in Solid Car rental for a second year . Flowless experience and excellent service. Our flight was delayed, and BERNY made sure everything went as smooth as possible, not only waiting for us late at the office but also picking us up from the airport and preparing the car for us. Thank you very much Berny exellent work we will be renting in the same place again. Return of car was also easy 5 star car rental place !!!!

Great experience with wonderful customer service and a new car that made our four hour drive great. Our only feedback would be clarifying you need a letter from your credit card before you arrive to waive the more expensive insurance, which took extra time for us to call our credit card company for the letter. Everything else was explained well in the instructions before we got there.

We rented a SUV for 6 days and had no issues at all! The guys working here were super friendly and explained the insurance options well. Pickup/drop off at the airport made it super easy. Overall I would rent from them again!

I read all the reviews before I chose to book with Solid; I was not scared off by the negative ones. Most of the complaints seemed to be from people who have never rented a car in CR or anywhere outside the US.

Pickup was seamless, right outside the Brit Cafe in terminal. Ride over to the office was quick (you will pass other rental agencies, gasp) and easy.

The process was straightforward and all options for insurance were explained clearly and in detail. The prices for insurance were about 75% of what I was quoted by competing agencies.

The vehicle was great, a 2023 Suzuki Jimny. Fun and capable; I was able to navigate the potholes and occasionally flooded roads of Guanacaste with ease. I drove that thing all over CR, from Playa Negra to Playa Cocles without any issues.

Will 100% use and recommend Solid in future. Thank you Randall for the excellent service and experience.

Excellent service from Solid, and superior customer care from Berny. Not only was the Suzuki Jimny in near perfect condition when we got it, it drove us everywhere we planned with no issues and had excellent gas mileage and was much more affordable than competitors. Solid car rentals make everything clear in the beginning and made the check out process quick & easy. Definitely consider them for your next trip.

I rented from solid car rental in Liberia for a month and a half.
I have rented from Avis, Payless, budget and we definitely received the best customer service from solid.
Berny and Randall were excellent to deal with, quick to respond to texts even after hours! (that’s rare anywhere) there were some minor hiccups but they fixed them instantly and kept our trip moving forward. They by far had the best price as well. If you have ever rented in the high season you will see how critical that can be.
The car was brand new, spotlessly clean and Berny was excellent at explaining the insurance differences in simple English as it can be confusing especially if you’ve never rented in Costa Rica before.
Highly recommend them and will rent from solid again in the future.

Once we landed the shuttle was seamless. They even called to ask how long we were going to be so they could be there once we got out the terminal so we did not have to wait.
A lot of car options to choose from. I suggest a suv.
Berny explained everything to us carefully and within no time we were on the road for a reasonable price.
If there was an issue they are available 24/7 to help out. I won’t just recommend them I will 100% return and go right to them.
Thank you for making our first visit to Costa Rica definitely not our last.

We needed a 4X4 for a 2 week vacation around Costa Rica. After reading numerous reviews and Reddit threads, we settled on Solid. We found their prices to be most favorable especially booking in the peak of the high travel season. When we arrived in Liberia, we found the Solid shuttle and were taken to their office a few minutes down the road. Berny was wonderfully helpful and friendly. We did hit a snafu when they only had a manual transmission Jimny for us even though we requested an automatic. Berny was quick to make a few calls and rectify the issue by upgrading us to an automatic Hyundai Tucson. Overall – great experience, friendly staff and good value. Would definitely recommend and book again.

Very good service. They made sure we had a 7-seater for our large family, as we reserved (other agencies in Liberia had failed us in previous trip, and did not hold a 7 seater in spite of confirming on the phone). Solid car rental had very good service. I like that they send us info about insurance before we make it to their office... Fair and transparent. Also, their staff is very friendly. Will use them again in the future if/when travelling to Costa Rica.

I had a nice little sedan with Apple CarPlay that handled the twists and turns into La Fortuna just fine! Berny was really helpful in explaining everything and using my travel credit card’s insurance coverage was super easy. The process to get the car is a little long but nothing outrageous and they have AC now! Would absolutely use these guys again.

We had a great experience with Solid! They delivered our cars to the west coast exactly as needed. The cars held up great on the CR back roads that are extremely bumpy in several parts. The return process was also smooth and timely.

Check our and return were pleasant and straightforward, the car was new-ish and worked great, and prices were competitive. They were happy to accept our letter from Visa showing that our Visa card would cover Damage (but not lLability, which we had to purchase separately).

I had a lovely experience renting a great car from this company and found Bernie extremely helpful and professional. They are a bit picky with the condition of the car upon return so make sure you video tape the condition of the car prior to taking it which is what Bernie told me and saved me a lot of headache. Will definitely rent again, thanks Bernie!

Berny took great care of us. we rented 2 cars for seven people. An SUV and a Jimmy. Both did well on the hills in Montezuma Beach. Very friendly.
