Our trip on the catamaran to go snorkeling, and then have a sunset. Dinner was absolutely perfect. Jon, Luc was very gracious and informative about everything. Our family truly enjoyed this experience. We would definitely do this again when we return to Costa Rica next.

My wife and I took our first surf lessons with Alejandro at Seafari nearly ten years ago. When we came back to Tamarindo, he was there first guy we called. Same great guy, just more experience and an even better instructor than ever. He had us popping up and riding waves in ten or fifteen minutes.
I definitely recommend him for a group of friends, an unforgettable couples date, or for you and the kids. He can even find you a good babysitter if you need to leave small kids at the beach, they'll be right there in front of you the whole time. I literally cannot recommend this guy enough.

I had a group class with some friends who came to Costa Rica for my wedding party. We had a great time seeing everyone learning and catching their first waves ever. Alejandro and his team make learning exciting and safe. Totally recommend him for all levels. Pura Vida!

I'm an adaptive surfer (quadriplegic) and surfed here while on vacation. Alejandro and his friend assisted me with all of what adaptive surfing entails. He came prepared and ready to modify one of his several boards. They pushed me into (good) waves, helped me get back onto the board any time I fell off, and made sure I was safely back in my wheelchair afterwards.

Alejandro is an experienced waterman with vast knowledge of the ocean and beyond. Because of this we got to see many beaches that most tourist don't get to see while also learning about the surrounding natural environment, culture, and history. Overall, the three days with Alejandro were some of our favorite. His positive attitude and enthusiasm are contagious.

I can't say enough good about this team.First, let me say I am over 79, had never been on a surfboard and determined to learn to surf. That could have a big challenge for most instructors, but these guys just smiled and said " "We will do all we can to help you ."Alejandro and his team are so accommodating. My surfing instructor was Nicolai. There were others there as well. Nico ,as they call him, was extremely patient and encouraging with me. I was smart to pay a small fee for a photographer who took pictures during my 3 sessions. We looked at them together, and Nico pointed out my mistakes. He immediately saw what I needed to do. By the third session I was getting up on the board and surfing, not a long distance, but surfing . By the way, I was sick the first 2 sessions and had to cut them short. After the second bout, I figured out it was MOTION SICKNESS. I have been in boats, and cruises and never had it before. The third lesson was a breeze because I took medicine for motion sickness and didn't have a bit of nausea. When I was ill the first session, they constantly asked how I was, brought me water and pineapple to eat just In case my blood sugar was low. Same thing the next day. I felt they went way past the normal "vendor mentality" trying to make my surfing experience a pleasant one. There's an old saying " You can't teach an old dog a new trick". Well, THEY DID!!!
I can hardly wait to get back to Tamarindo and take more lessons.
Hopefully, you can see why I highly recommend them.
