K-Rae is an incredible host, were so glad she found her calling as she's the best!
The drive up is fun and was all part of it for us. The breeze and drop in a few degrees was a welcomed bit if beach resbite for us.
We had food and drinks, stayed until close and loved it. The personal touch you get from K-Rae making the effort to chat to you when she's spinning all the plates makes you feel like you're at home.
Sunbeds, towels and shower provided means you get cool off without having to think about it too much. Gorgeous views too.
Well worth the trip, just check times before you go so you can make the most of it.

The perfect mountain getaway destination. If you don’t need the beach at your fingertips, and want to have a local experience 6 degrees cooler than the beach areas of Nosara…make your way to K-Rae’s. Kerri and her increíble staff always deliver on quality and quantity. Fab food, great drinks, comfortable pool, great covered areas for seating, an authentic pub, and wildlife present during most visits. It’s always a great time to bring my quad tours up for a visit, or invite all of our boutique hotel guests up for an afternoon of fun. Well worth the quick trip up.

If you are not a surfer and want to relax and decompress this is the place! Great views, great host, great food, grear rooms, short drive down to night life and the beach!

I'm reviewing the pub. Kerry Rae is just the loveliest host. The location is unique here in Nosara, great views. The menu was great and the beer fantastic. We spent a few hours there with the whole family eating and in the pool and watching clouds over the valley

Beautiful view and gardens. K-Rae is so kind, top notch service and delicious food! Try the pork nachos! She made me a delicious mocktail with fresh mint. It is worth the short trip up the mountain. 🙌🏼

Best experience at this mountain top Irish bar in Nosara. Best food, BEST service from K-Rae herself. Great drinks too. There's a pool (and towels) too. GO to this spot immediately to see Boston / Irish memorabilia, have a great meal and amazing views too.

We took a chance on an Irish Pub in the heart of Nosara. No regrets. Unbelievable pork nachos, very good boom boom shrimp, fantastic guac and patacones, and the peanut butter cup pie is rich and addictive. View was beyond imaginable and the breeze was refreshing. Didn't stay at the Inn, but the pool looked great. Owner is the K-Rae who's an absolute renaissance woman - she does it all - waits, cooks, cleans, runs the inn, etc. Seriously delicious food, and special view, breeze and owner.

I loved! The best margaritas ever! The super special attention I will return, whenever I can. 🧡

Dropped by one late afternoon for drinks, left for 30 minutes to go up the road where the guys go ziplining and we watched the amazing sunset. Came back and we had a delicious dinner. The atmosphere was great very friendly and the food and drinks were good. Very cool bar with a pool. The part-time help, Ryan made some amazing drinks.

Great little spot to get a drink and bar food. Sometimes live music. Pool for use if ask, options to pay and spectacular view. Great place to throw a birthday party or celebration, Rooms to rent and the owner is very helpful for tourists and new expats. Hours are limited so be sure to get to know this place.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting and staying at Kraes with my beautiful girlfriend and friends, an Irish pub nestled in the mountains of Nosara, yet, a stone throw away from the surf, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Kraes manages to capture the essence of an authentic Irish pub while adding its own unique charm and flair, making it a standout gem in the area.

Let's start with the food. The sandwiches at Kraes are nothing short of amazing. A proper classic Reuben, her own poke(tuna tower) recipe, boom boom shrimp, and a large etc. Kraes delivers in every aspect. Each sandwich and app is made with care and attention to detail, boasting generous portions of quality ingredients. The flavors are perfectly balanced, leaving you wanting more with each bite.

But it's not just the food that makes Kraes a standout establishment; it's the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the Kerri herself. From the moment you walk and a "Pub: the original irish sun block" sign greets you you know you are in the right place. Kerri went out of her way to make sure we felt at home, providing recommendations and engaging in friendly conversation.

The ambiance of Kraes further enhances the overall experience. The pub is beautifully decorated with traditional Irish elements, creating an authentic and cozy atmosphere, along with magnificent views of Nosara. Whether you choose to sit at the bar, relax at one of the tables or the outside beer garden, you'll find yourself surrounded by the warmth and charm of a quaint irish/guanacasteco pub, in the best way possible.

In addition to the outstanding food, service, and atmosphere, Kraes also has a nice selection of beverages. From whiskey collection to a wide range of costarican craft beers, and Irish pub stapples like Sam Adams and Guiness, there is something to satisfy every palate.

Overall, Kraes is an absolute must-visit for anyone in Nosara seeking a memorable experience. Whether you're a fan of irish pub grub, or simply looking for a friendly and welcoming environment, Kraes ticks all the boxes. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and a genuine Irish pub atmosphere make Kraes stand out among the crowd. I cannot recommend this place enough, and I look forward to my next visit to Kraes when I'm in Nosara again.

Totally awesome place! An authentic Irish Pub minutes from Nosara area with great food, top-shelf liquor, beer and wine and spectacular views. Even a swimming pool to enjoy. There are also several nicely appointed rooms to rent nightly, weekly, monthly. My wife and I spent two nights there in June. It was wonderful and unique. Don't miss K-Rae's!

I've been up to K-Rae's twice this week (Jan 2021) and will return soon! Beautiful setting with super friendly lady (namesake) in charge and happy staff there to help. Surprised to get one of my very all time favorite Reuben sandwiches in the jungle setting - ever! So good!! Great views, bring a bathing suit if you want a quick dip. Really a fun place to hang out!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here! What a unique and cozy place tucked into the green hills near Nosara with knockout views. Kerry is a fantastic and friendly host who made us the most delicate and delicious fish and chips from fresh Mahi delivered just an hour prior. The Irish Pub is a funky respite in the tropics and there's several great beers on tap for the hops lovers out there. Monkeys and wildlife abound and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Pool is perfectly refreshing. Enjoy!

Visiting my daughter that is about to deliver and went there and was very impressed of the beauty and service while you eat lunch and a few cocktails, you get to enjoy the swimming pool,owner made us feel at home

Our stay at K-raes was amazing. Kerri was very helpful and kind. The view from the property is beautiful and the hotel has a cute área to eat, swim, lookout to the mountains and chill. Highly recommend !

K Rae's Black Sheep Pub is the BEST!!! Fantastic views! Lounging about in the pool is amazing - with the sounds of the jungle serenading you. The food is fabulous and the entertainment is excellent! The cabinas make for a nice, cozy and comfortable room. We felt very safe and well cared for at K-Rae's.

This place is Amazing!! Off the beatin path on a mountain, breathtaking view, K'Rae (the owner) was very friendly, the boomboom shrimp was on point, the tuna tower was fresh and delicious. Do yourself a favor and go if you are anywhere near Nosara!!!

What an absolute amazing place. Went on an atv adventure and had lunch here. Wonderful place to have food, drinks and relaxation!
