Irazu Volcano national park - Prusia sector

Easy accessible hike, you have to make sure to reserve prior on the website. No internet service in the park. Plenty of trail options.

Awesome place to hike amongst beautiful trees and views.

Nice hikes. We went there on a Friday at 9 am. It was almost empty, we had the entire park for ourselves. It was beautiful, we did cabeza de Vaca first, the views above the clouds were amazing. Then we did Los Abuelos, Mirador and Los Pumas Hikes, very gorgeous!

Great place for a hike. There are many trails, some of them are easy and some are hard. Take time to go to the haunted tree! I recommend you to book your trip there before the date, wear comfortable clothes and shoes and don't take single-use plastic there.

Wow this national park is amazing. You can literally walk through a huge crater and enjoy some spectacular views.

I loved this place. 😄I'm already looking forward to go. It has many beautiful places and you have to walk a lot, so be prepared if you want to try to visit everything in one day. 😆The prices are enough and I really recommend the place.

Walk in a very mountainous, steep, rustic trails. Enjoy nature first hand. You can walk or run from 6 km to 14 km depending on the route you choose. Weather is coldish, about 10-15 C in December, and rains often but not for long, nor hard rain, so be prepared for that. We took hydrating drinks and a couple sandwichs. Worked well for us.

Nice place to do some hiking. There are different walking trails. You can find some good spots to take pictures. A lot of nature everywhere that makes you have peace. Sometimes it is cold so if you go bring a jacket. There are trails for all the levels so it's a family place to go too.

The begining is steep but a really great half day trip from San José or Cartago. Something out of a fairytale with a bewitched tree, pine forest and fog.

Beautiful walking trails in a temperate climate, lots of hills because it is on the side of a volcano. You will find the history of why it is full of non-native tree species fascinating... Spoiler... Related to the 1963 Irazú volcano eruption that covered the costarican central valley in ashes for years.

Great park with more than 16km of roads to travel and spend leisure time in the middle of nature.

The perfect place, the peace and calm are perfectly breathable. There are a lot of paths or roads with different difficulty and duration.

Beautiful! The first 15 minutes of hike are very steep but then it is worth it. The trees are beautiful and the weather is ideal!
