Spectacular view and amazing spot for a special and romantic dinner! The view is off the charts with the infinity edge pool and the fire 🔥 from the water for added affect. Really a special place. Great cocktail menus and wine list as well as delicious apps and mains. It is as expected $$ but it is worth it for a truly memorable time. Our server Diego was also wonderful and super accommodating. I had the lemon drop and the hubby the special ginger beer margarita which was amazing. For food we had the calamari and the egg plant and dinner we had the short rib and mushrooms and shrimp pasta. Was a truly wonderful evening I will never forget!!!

Take me back!! Stunning views, delicious food, fresh juices and good service. We had a beautiful breakfast overlooking the water and it was great. Their interpretation of Turkish eggs was interesting, they were sweet somehow and the texture of the yogurt was off. I’ve had Turkish eggs plenty of times but this was a different approach. Probably would not order that again. My husband’s plate looked delicious.

Amazing, super luxurious feeling restaurant. A great place to eat or just chill for drinks. It's a shame there aren't more and higher reviews on here. The scene is A+++, and the food and experience are also top notch. You should make a reservation here as it can get busy. Worth a visit if you're staying nearby.

The service was attentive, kind, friendly and efficient, you’re even greeted by a valet service.
The food was excellent from the starters, to the mains and pudding
The gazpacho was amazing, the aubergine was very good as well.

The wine we ordered, an Argentinian Malbec was a 4.1 on Vivino - it was just a great addition to our meal

Exceptional service from beginning till the end of the evening. Valet personnel were very polite and friendly. Our reservation was sunset appies and beverages, Victor our server was helpful and attentive. Dining experience was excellent, our server Carlos was so nice, always asking how we were. Food was done just right! Fish was flaky and prawns moist not rubbery. Thanks Victor and Carlos in making my birthday dinner a memorable one 💛

Favorite spot to take visitors. The view is a dream with sweeping 270 degree views of the ocean. We love to go to the bar for drinks and appetizers and then make our way to a table for dinner. Their food is delicious and shareworthy, and best enjoyed in a large group where you order one of everything 😉 their cocktails are also top notch!

we r staying in Tamarindo and our host recommended this place. Totally worth it compare to the restaurants by the beach. The atmosphere was great and the view is incredible. Despite the cloudy weather, the thunderstorm added a few surprises during our dinner. Food wise it would say it’s fair, typical western food you can expect in high end restaurants. This place will def plays a big part in my Costa Rica memory

We returned to Sentido Norte after 3 years to find it was just as spectacularly wonderful and delicious and soothing as the first time. This restaurant is truly one of a kind, worth the trek to get there.
Fransua our server was welcoming and knowledgeable and added to the experience in the most positive way.
From the appetizers and cocktails to the mains to dessert and coffee, it was a pleasure for all the senses.
If you have the chance, make reservations and go. We went for lunch but any meal is special there

This place over delivers on its claims! Gorgeous view of the ocean and beaches. The sunset experience was fantastic! The drinks and food were perfect and there's plenty of it. The service was amazing as well. A once in a lifetime type of experience.

An absolute must visit every trip. We prefer it during the day for lunch to get the spectacular views: you are perched high on a hill overlooking both playa Potrero and out to sea.
The dishes are delish, care and attention to ingredients and flavours. The special cocktails are wonderful mixes, very rich.
The absolute best is the CHOCOLATE AND ESSPRESSO TERRINE with red berry reduction, wild berry sorbet - OH MY.

We were staying nearby in Playa Penca and we were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate my girlfriends 30th birthday. We came across Sentido Norte and saw it was rated one of the most romantic restaurants in the world. We made reservations for mid-day as dinner was fully booked. The atmosphere and views are breathtaking. The food is excellent and surprisingly not very expensive. While we were enjoying our meal we were able to talk them into squeezing us in for dinner the following night. The food was amazing both times.

Beautiful even if you go after sunset - we had a night time reservation. The walk through the property to the restaurant is so romantic, and the restaurant itself has amazing food and great service. Can’t wait to visit for a sunset dine!

Stunning views & amazing food! Definitely a must-have if you are traveling to this area of Costa Rica. Sentido Norte sits on the top of the hill so you get panoramic views of the sunset, makes sense that CNN awards it the most romantic restaurant in the world. Prices are reasonable, actually less than what we expected from such a phenomenal place. Do not miss out on this experience!!

Stellar sunset, that’s really what they are selling. Service was above average for the area, comes with the price point of course. Enjoyed sunset up on the highest terrace with a couch and a cocktail (not well balanced / nor worth $15).

Moved downstairs to the main attraction for a delicious meal - shrimp gnocchi and the crusted yellowfin tuna. Well executed and balanced, packed with flavor. Definitely a romantic evening and if you steer clear of alcohol not terribly priced for the quality.

An absolute MUST for incredible views of the sunset and dinner! We stayed recently at Santarena Hotel and came here for sunset cocktails & dinner one evening - they offer a golf cart transfer to/from the center of Las Catalinas which was super convenient. From the moment we walked in we were blown away - the high touch service, the decor & set up, and the absolutely astounding views!! We came in at 5pm and sat in the lounge seating to watch the sunset - we started with a bottle of sauv blanc and the Fresh Ceviche of the Day and Tuna Tartare - both were so fresh and packed with fresh flavor. After the sunset, we moved over into the main dining room for dinner. We had the Pacific Shrimp Risotto, Steak Frites and a side of the Sesame Snow Peas. All of it was fantastic, and paired well with a beautiful bottle of Tempranillo that our server recommended. We finished this wonderful evening with a dessert of Chocolate & Espresso Terrine with a raspberry sorbet. All of the staff was fantastic, and our server Deiner was superb - great menu & wine recommendations, and excellent service.
