Villas Estival

Location to the beach was relatively flat and walkable. Villa #6 (2 bedrooms and 2 baths) was clean and plenty of space to move about with 5 adults. The outdoor back porch is where we spent most of our time because it was a large area with a beautiful view of the ocean and the sunsets. These villas are in a quiet location, however, one can walk (15 minutes) or drive (5 minutes) and be in Playa Potrero which had many restaurants and bars for nightly entertainment.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating with any needs we had.
There are no condiments in the Villa, so I would advise bringing everything you may need to cook. Thankfully, the staff provided us some salt and pepper so we did not have to go back to the store.

Villas Estival was the perfect place for our wedding January 4th of this year. We put down a reservation to rent all of the villas for 3 days to be able to get a better rate for our guests, and it was truly just fabulous the whole time we were there. Villas are kept clean throughout the time, security details and camera helped us feel like we could really go in and out and share our spaces without worrying about anyone trying to come in from outside of the resort. The beach nearby (100 yards away from the main area) is smaller but delightful. Our wedding weekend happened right after the very busy New Year celebrations, so many people were starting to leave, but it is a very popular beach. Nice shade and fun waves. The pool was a hit for all of our friends and the little ones, and provided an easy gathering space for everyone when wedding events weren't happening. We had great help from grounds staff and maintenance when moving in our tables/chairs/shade tent and dance floor. The huge Guanacaste tree on the property served as the perfect wedding arch! Check in was super easy, and maintenance/cleaning crews were receptive to help us collect recyclables and trash after our wedding night. Online reservations were a little complicated as we had friends/family sharing villas, but everything did get sorted out in its own time. Villas Estival is about 40-60 minutes from the Liberia Airport, which worked out wonderfully for all of our guests coming from the US.

I highly recommend this business for all those in search of a beautiful semi private beach area surrounded by nature.

Guanacaste is well known for its extremely hot 🔥 🥵 temperatures especially by the dry season. Keep in mind Costa Rica has two seasons dry season ( November thru April) and wet or green season (May thru October). It was one of my concerns when renting a villa on this beautiful area. For the piece of mind, there is lots of nature surrounding the villas, to summarize it was perfect.

I am still here, so I can say the administration is doing a beautiful job. The service we have gotten from the reception personnel has been outstanding.

Excelente location right next to the beach. Playa Prieta y usually quiet with little to no tourists in sight. You can also walk to neighboring beaches like Sugar Beach and Playa La Penca. With only 12 villas, the place feels cozy and spacious. The facilities are gorgeous and the location is magnificent. The place is secluded enough to feel privacy but conveniently placed next to cities that offer great restaurants, shops and fresh groceries.

Gorgeous place, right on the beach. Great facilities. Somewhat limited AC (only in the bedrooms) but it's not a problem.

I can't wait to return! Perfect place for large groups / families. Staff is amazing.

Great restaurant and accommodations

Las villas son muy cómodas, están bien equipadas y muy limpias.
La piscina es grande, cuenta con seguridad.
El lugar tiene vistas hermosas frente al mar muy tranquilo y seguro.

¡Nos encanta Villas Estival, es el único lugar en donde tienes los 2 ambientes juntos, piscinas y playa! Las villas tiene todo el equipamiento necesario, muy cerca de Las Catalinas y fácil movilidad a otras playas.

¡Un lugar sin igual! Amplias zonas verdes, piscina, hermosas villas, salida privada a muy pocos pasos de la playa. La atención al cliente lo mejora todo, increíble.

Hermoso lugar, lleno de paz y tranquilidad. Completamente equipado, zonas verdes muy bien cuidadas, una piscina limpia. El servicio al cliente es excelente, siempre están disponibles a dar servicio. La playa Prieta está al frente de las villas y playa La Penca al lado, caminar hacia ahí es muy cerca. Además, se tienen hermosas playas cerca de la zona y cerca de aquí está el proyecto Las Catalinas. El precio es muy accesible y también hay variedad en el tamaño de las villas. El lugar es hermoso y la tranquilidad que se disfruta estando ahí es estupendo. Las villas están muy bien equipadas, todo en buen estado y con mucho confort. Es muy buena elección para los que gustan de pasear en grupos de personas. La zona es de las hermosas, por lo que recomiendo disfrutar varios días por acá.

Me encantó mi estadía en Villas Estival, es un lugar mágico y su ubicación y villas frente al mar son preciosas.

Un lugar precioso, con la playa a la vista, villas bonitas y bien acondicionadas, internet de alta velocidad en cada villa, además muchas actividades y restaurantes para hacer en la zona. Recomendado para familias o grupos de amigos al 100%

Un lugar especial para disfrutar y relajarse, las villas están full equipadas, y los cuartos son espaciosos.
Los jardines son muy bonitos y la piscina limpia y el agua perfecta.
La playa parece un poco peligrosa para los niños

Ha sido nuestra casa durante casi un mes.
Sitio precioso escondido entre las dos playas mas bonitas de Guanacaste (Penca y Prieta). Un tesoro!
Casas y jardin muy cuidados. Ambiente familiar y tranquilo.
Siempre amables y serviciales. Roberto y Benito siempre atentos.
Lo unico que hay que cambiar son las sartenes y ollas para cocinar que estan muy viejas.

Ya vamos un mes aquí, los huéspedes vecinos vienen y van y se ve que es un ambiente familiar y tranquilo, exacto lo que buscamos. El servicio del personal es muy amable y atentos, la piscina y jardines siempre estan muy limpios y lindos y realmente uno disfruta la playa (a un paso) y las piscinas, tanto de grandes y de pequeños. El internet es súper bueno, estacionamientos disponibles, zona segura y servicios cerca.

El lugar tiene una ubicación perfecta con 2 excelentes playas a pasos de distancia, las villas bonitas, bien equipadas y una excelente atención

Un lugar bellísimo,las villas tienen un concepto familiar,cuentan con lindas instalaciones,totalmente equipadas muy limpias,tienen piscina y amplias zonas verdes,con acceso a Playa Prieta a tan solo unos cuantos pasos, se percibe excelente seguridad y buena atención de parte del personal, se recomienda tener las puertas cerradas a partir de las 5 pm por la presencia de mapaches que visitan a los huéspedes en busca de algún alimento,tuvimos esa experiencia y fue inolvidable,el lugar es ideal para el descanso.Lo recomiendo ampliamente. 👌

Un lugar excelente, las instalaciones son preciosas para pasarla con amigos o familiares, precios muy cómodos, la playa se puede decir que es privada ya que no hay casa u hoteles cerca, hay un camino que lleva a playa penca que es muy linda.
Esta cerca de muchas playas conocidas para ir en auto, en fin un lugar para pasarla bien..

Superó mis expectativas un lugar super cómodo, las villas preciosas amplias muy bien equipadas, la playa hermosa y al puro frente definitivamente volvería
