Restaurante El Vaquero

Outstanding venue on the road to Nicoya. Very good food, generous servings. Staff is very service oriented. Nice layout, plenty of parking. Price to product ratio is optimal, in my opinion. Definitely recommend it.

Driving from Tamarindo to Guanacaste, El Vaquero was a great breakfast stop!! We had the egg and ham omelette with “olores” onions and spices, accompanied with a guanábana fruto drink. Absolutely delicious! The place is very clean with a cozy, outdoorsy environment. Highly recommend it. Did I mention great prices and service?👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The best staff and very friendly owners. I lost my wallet and retraced my steps back to vaquero restaurant and they had been holding onto it for me for the last two days. I received my wallet with all contents still inside and ordered some food which was also delicious. If you are passing through La Palma stop for lunch and a beer. You will not regret it. I am incredibly thankful to the staff here.

Very fast and attentive service. Great food and cute location. The bathroom was extremely clean. While we ate, the staff was cleaning the tiles of the gazebo, proving their dedication to cleanliness!! We loved it.

Food was fresh and hot. We ordered a casada and everything was great. Cold fruit drinks and great service. Bathrooms were very clean. Outdoor covered seating. Great place to stop.

We stop here often on our travels...it's always consistent with an affordable typical menu. They allow pets (we always sit outside to be kind) and even though it's right on the side of a main road, it's peaceful. They have large TVs and many seating options. Cleanest, nicest bathrooms I've ever seen in Costa Rica. We typically use Spanish to communicate, but it seems as though there are always many English speakers who have no issue communicating with staff. The casado con Pollo en salsa is fantastic. (And the French fries are great! 🤣)

Temperature a tad high even with fan at Full blast... Would recommend a structural modification to address this.
