Subwing Costa Rica

Everything about our day with Robert was excellent. Feeding spider monkeys on one of the islands was probably the highlight, but the snorkeling and using the subwing was a lot of fun as well. Getting to Tortuga before the big charter boats meant we had the snorkeling area to ourselves before the crowds arrived.

The food and atmosphere on the beach was great as well. We felt so pampered by this customized experience, we couldn't imagine doing it any other way. Stay away from the "water busses" and give Robert a try. We can't imagine how you could be disappointed.

An amazing day with Robert he was a most excellent host, easy going and very accommodating. The small group was ideal couldn't imagine being stuck in one of those larger tour groups. Isla Tortuga was beautiful great food with fresh coconut and pineapple drinks. Snorkeling with the all the colorful fish was very peaceful. Being surrounded by a swarm of little neon fish was awesome. Subwing was a blast spiraling through the water.

Our group had an absolutely amazing tour with Robert. He was on time, professional, kind, and great conversationalist. We got to take our time snorkeling and on the subwing toy, which was so much fun. As a not-confident swimmer, I felt very safe on the water with him. Breakfast and lunch were delicious, as well as the drinks! Very knowledgeable and fun guy. This tour was cheaper than the bigger boat tour we were offered, and this one was so much better! Will do this again with him in the future :)

Great way to go to Tortuga Island! Love the idea of the smaller boat and private tour option! As it made our day. Great experience with the subwing, was actually really easy! And great fun.
Also liked the snorkeling, there is quite a bit of life even though its the Pacific.
Food was good, fresh, and a nice treat as being on a remote island.
can't wait too go back!

4 of us had a really good day out to Isla Tortuga with Robert. We were picked up from where we were staying and taken to the harbour. Saw quite a lot of fish snorkelling and the subwings were great fun. Lunch on the island was decent and we had beers and rum punch included day. Robert was great and we’re really glad we chose him over some of the larger boats we saw whilst out.

Robert was such a cool guy! He’s well known by all the locals and speaks great English which was super helpful to have a translator with us. There are a lot of vendors on the island, so bring cash if you want to purchase things. We got “Coco Locos” (coconut water, cream, and rum drinks served in a fresh coconut), fresh raw scallops & oysters, and souvenirs from the gift shop! I will say the gift shop on the island is pretty pricey, so buying things on the mainland is a good way to go if you’re wanting to save money. There are portable bathrooms on the island you can use for $1. Robert was very funny and easy to get along with, he kept us entertained the entire time! We couldn’t have asked for a better host. He was very clear with his instructions for the subwing and made us feel very comfortable. We saw tons of tropical fish while snorkeling! If you want an unforgettable experience - take this tour! You definitely don’t want to miss out on this amazing adventure!

We called later in the evening after Robert was closed, needing a mama day. HE ANSWERED!! He booked us and it was the most amazing tour to date I have been on!! We have done a lot of tours over our 6 yrs coming so that is definitely saying something! We received breakfast, drinks (beer, water, rum punch) and a fantastic lunch on the island. We saw lots of fish snorkeling, same WITH DOLPHINS/PORPOISE while on the subwing!! He went with what we chose and didn't limit our time to a strict structure like the bigger tours. I recommend this tour 1000% and I also don't normally leave reviews but Robert and his tour needed to be recognized.

My wife and I had the most amazing day with Robert at Subwing. His activities and price is better than any you will find. We enjoyed the subbing, tubing, snorkeling, drinks, lunch, breakfast, and good conversation. I am glad we took this tour. The water was clear and the beach was perfect. Robert ensured we had a great day.

Robert took our family and friends out to Isla Tortuga in difficult water conditions. Even with choppy waters he found a way to have us snorkel and use the SubWings in good spots. His set up and experience allows so much more flexibility than the other large tours seen in the area. The kids and all of us had a blast!

Service personnalisé, comme c’est un tour privé, le capitaine s’est adapté à nos demandes. Plongée en apnée, petite bière au coucher du soleil sur une plage déserte. Le capitaine (Robert), est franchement cool! Je conseille fortement si vous voulez éviter les fefilles trop saoules des grosses croisières!
