This is a fantastic and interesting tour - (unbiased opinion! I am NOT a coffee drinker!!) The female tour guide we had (it was a month ago, I forgot name, but it begins with an "A") was the perfect tour guide - mixing just the right amount of detail, history, science, and humor and audience participation into the story to keep it entertaining during the 90 min tour. We were in a group of 20+ people but she was easy to hear throughout the tour, and was able to answer all of the group's follow-up questions because of her depth of knowledge. Tour guides make (or break) a tour, and Doka delivers! Well worth the price of admission. The coffee was delicious - I liked the Breakfast Blend and Peaberry the best!

Recently renovated, beautiful facilities up the mountains, very close to San Jose, Alajuela & Heredia. It's the perfect way to start your experience in Costa Rica. They offer guided tours where you learn the entire process of coffee, the "golden bean" of CR. It's close to Poas volcano, you can do both tours in one day. Friendly staff, colorful plants and flowers.

What a beautiful experience! The tour is built for those that love coffee and those that love to learn. Very engaging by passionate people! Out of four trips to Costa Rica one of the best tours. Come ready to love Doka!

Great tour in both Spanish and English depending on your preference. Tour guides are very engaging and knowledgeable about the process. Farm is well organized and amenities are clean. Lunch available onsite along with a gift shop. Single coffee bags are around $15USD with some quantity deals.

Amazing tour! We learned a lot about how coffee is picked and processed at Costa Rica’s oldest wet mill. We also went on a tour of Poas Volcano and La Paz waterfall gardens through Doka. Such a fun day!

This is a working coffee farm.
They take you from the beginning of the splitting of the bean to the melding of 2 plants.
From 2 plants to harvest.
To several methods of drying. To separate and determining the beans to make particular types of coffee.
There is a way that you select coffee that will end up at a gas station for brewing and consumption to various high-end coffees.
They teach you the percentage of coffee beans that they keep so they can turn a profit to keep working.
The machines that are in the picture are over 100 years old and continue to work, To this day.
What is more impressive to me!! Is that the machines work on water turbine..
No gas, no oil, no fuel, no manual labor, it is operated by water power.
My legs were very tired from other adventures that we went on. i'm glad I'm very happy that I did take this tour it was very informative.

DOKA provides an amazing experience. Our tour guide Jonathan was lovely and was so knowledgeable about the process from start to finish. There were samples galore and the shop has incredible gifts to take home. They also have a bunch of other on site amenities to check out like a bonsai garden and a butterfly garden!

The drive up to this beautiful coffee plantation through winding roads up the mountain was spectacular. The plantation grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We bought several different types of coffee.

I'm not a coffee drinker but our guide was so knowledgeable of the process start to finish. It's amazing how many beans one person can collect per day. The simplicity of the machinery is proof that technology has not taken over everything! Enjoyed this tour.

Had a great day there. The place is beautiful and the staff are all very friendly. Coffee your was very informative and fun. I loved learning where the magic bean juice comes from. Ate a couple coffee berries and they tasted great. I enjoyed that they plant trees to encourage native birds to eat the insects that come for the coffee berries, saw a bunch of Ricans hanging out. The wet mill is fully functional and the butterfly garden is amazing.
The coffee samples are free and bags of coffee are about the same price as the us, except this is as fresh and as good as it gets.
Highly recommend it.

Excellent, informative tour of this family- owned coffee estate. I loved being able to sample all the available coffee and spend time in their gift shop, purchasing coffee gifts for back home. Their welcome iced coffee drink was a wonderful treat! My son had visited here on his EF Tour in 2016 - I'm happy we could visit this facility on our Costa Rican vacation together.
