Dante's Water Sports & Tours

Thanks to Dante and our wonderful guide Franklin for a safe and enjoyable adventure in Quepos. Pickup was on time, it was safe and professional. I chose to take a paddle board but I had to do it again I would have kayaked since it was a little hard for me as a beginner in the ocean (even though it was relatively calm). Nonetheless I had a great time. Beautiful scenery. Snorkeling, and a stop at the beach for fresh pineapple was an added bonus.

Ocean kayak & snorkeling tour - fantastic

We had a group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids). Really fun time. Wish we'd had two double kayaks because the guide had to tow one of the younger kids, which was much appreciated.

That said, they were really nice, went to a wonderful beach, ate amazing pineapple and most of all had fun kayaking a few miles.

Had a great experience at Dante’s. While kids were doing the surf lesson we did the SUP. The guides were great. They also made awesome photos to purchase at the end. If you planning to stay after the lesson, you can also rent the chairs and umbrella for a very reasonable price.

I had two lessons with Dante’s Water Sports, and both were great experiences. The first was a solo lesson with my instructor Sebastion who was great. The second lesson twas with some friends. I was surprised in the second lesson when each person in my group received their own private instructor. It was a very individualized experience.

In addition, Johan (the photographer) took some amazing videos and photos for us. He has his own drone so he can't get some pretty amazing shots.

We had a great time at Dante's. We did surf leasons and each of our children were given a private instructor and one instructor for two adults. The instructors were great and very kind and had everyone up in no time. We also reserved chairs and boogie boards on the beach with Dante's for the remainder of the day and came back again the following day. Location on the beach was great. Transportation to and from the hotel was also provided and was on time.

Got a surf lesson for myself and my son. The overall experience was fantastic. We were picked up promptly from our hotel, my instructor Marcos was knowledgeable and patient, and he helped me catch some waves. My son and I were able to enjoy the shade, have some water, and fruit while we rested. Afterwards, we were driven back to our hotel.

Javier was such a great guide for our family of six! It was relaxing, and we even saw a family of monkeys along with some other beautiful wildlife. Javier cut some refreshing pineapple for us at the end. We opted in to get lunch and the restaurant we ate at was amazzzing! We would definitely hire Dante’s again!

What an amazing experience as first timers in Costa Rica. My friend and I met Dante and his wonderful staff when we came to the beach. We decided to take surfing lessons. My instructor was Antonio, who was patient and clearly understood that I was scared of the water. Highlight for us was Dante taking photos and having his drone take videos of us. Highly recommend Dante’s water sports for anyone looking for such sports activities and wanting to relax in a relatively quieter part of the manual Antonio/Quepos beach area. Thanks for a great day yday. Will I try surfing again, 🤔 I might..glad I have a few shots Dante took just before my big fall 😂

Highly recommend Dante's Water Sports and Tours and their Surf School. We were a large group and novices to Surfing. The Instructors are very good and careful they had our gang Surfing with their excellent guidance swimming with them in the waves.

Javier is amazing!! He took us on our waterfall tour Sunday 4/29 and the national park walk on 5/3. He's funny, helpful, kind and showed us an amazing time! I highly recommend Dante's Water Sports and Javier to anyone visiting the area!

Had a great experience taking a surf lesson here. Sebastian was my teacher and he was superb! Gave clear instructions and suggestions to improve. The whole experience felt like hanging with a friend.

We had the best time learning to surf! We each had an instructor in the water with us making it an extremely success experience! My 8 yr old daughter was natural! Top top off our Costa Rica must do, we were given fresh pineapple, bananas and coconuts during our break and after.

Best place to rent from and kayak with! They are so easy to work with and very attentive from beginning to end. My husband and I did the kayak tour with them, it was our first ocean kayak experience, they gave us a beautiful private tour. Our tour guide Christian was very knowledgeable and so easy to learn from. I am so glad we went with a tour guide because unfortunately during the trip one of us got sea sick, and our tour guide Christian took great care of us and was super helpful! He kept everything extremely safe while he hooked us up to his kayak to get us safely on shore. I definitely recommend going with a tour guide, it makes the experience safe if you’re going with someone who’s never ocean kayaked before and they know the area so well and have a lot of great knowledge to share. Dante and James were amazing! We had a private paddle boat experience for two that ended with an amazing sunset right on the water. Dante and James picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and took care of everything. James is a hilarious guide who will accept all challenges to his athleticism.

My family (2 teen boys, Mom & Dad) went on a ocean kayak + snorkelling trip with Dante's watersports and it was AMAZING. Our guide, Kendall, was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and local wildlife. The rocky coastline was beautiful and the snorkeling spot he took us to was a small coral reef teeming with brightly coloured fish. Our boys were enthralled and said that out of all the guided tour and excursions we took in Costa Rica, this was their favourite. Thanks so much for the incredible experience!

WOW! We had a phenomenal experience surfing with Dante and his wonderful team. They are fantastic instructors, who are patient and funny! They picked us up at our hotel and were able to have us both surfing by the end of the lesson. They have a tent and chairs set up for when you need a break as well as fresh pineapples they will cut up for you. 1000% recommendation for them, you will have an amazing time!

Our family had a fabulous time taking surfing lessons with Dante’s Water Sports. Our instructors were great and super patient! When we took a break - they had cold water and fresh pineapple waiting for us… Dante also picked us up from our hotel and took us back when we were done enjoying the rest of the day at the beach. Could not ask for a better experience!

I'm a huge scaredy cat when it comes to adventurous stuff, but I decided to give surfing a shot in Costa Rica. Sebastian, the most patient surf instructor ever, was incredible.

I even managed to stand up on my board 🙌🏽 I'm already plotting my next surf adventure and can't wait to ride an even bigger wave. 10/10 would recommend! 🤙🏽🏄‍♀🌊

My 9-year-old daughter had a great first experience learning to surf. Her instructor was Alejandro and he was great! Super patient, clear about instructions, followed our daughter’s cues when she was nervous at first, encouraging and just an overall friendly instructor. She was up on her board very quickly and declared that she now wants to surf every day! The water and fresh pineapple provided were a great touch. Highly recommend this company and teacher.

Really brilliant morning! Our 8 year old daughter and 12 year old son had brilliant instructors and were standing up in minutes. Dante made everything so easy and comfortable for us and we would thoroughly recommend this outing. Nick and Lucy Young
