Absolutely amazing experience at the Parador. I just got home from a four night stay with my husband and kids (4 and 1). The hotel is a sprawling complex with so many little pathways to explore. We saw more animals at this hotel than at Manuel Antonio national park (sloths, monkeys, macaws, snake, lizards, crabs, frogs, iguanas). The pool is perfect for little kids, it has a sloping entrance and there is also a designated toddler pool. We always found lounge chairs. Rooms are basic but very clean, comfortable and spacious. AC makes the rooms super cool at night. Complimentary buffet breakfast every morning was wonderful. Hotel doesn’t have its own beach because it’s up on a hill but it’s very close to a stunning public beach that we loved. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. I don’t normally return to places once I’ve already been but I would 100% return here.

Everything was absolutely amazing. The room and views were spectacular, the breakfast was wonderful, the nature trail was delightful, wildlife everywhere, and we were lucky to have a sloth outside our room entrance. Our stay was simply divine!!
The only negative was the walk back from the beach but even that wasn't terrible. We loved every minute of our stay.

Beautiful hotel, in a gorgeous area, with great service. Did not feel crowded, ever. We took several tours with transportation provided, and the National Park (literally just minutes away) was truly amazing. We saw 3 types of monkeys, iguanas, lizards, macaws, and numerous other birds on the property. Loved every minute and would highly recommend. Great for families or couples. We are planning on visiting again in the future.

Excellent for families, couples and especially honeymooners. Breakfast is included, which is excellent. Staff is wonderful. Restaurant is great. Best part of the hotel are all the animals that live on the property. They will pop out when you least expect it. They will set you up on any tour you can think of and their spa has great rates on massages. I may never go back to Costa Rica because there are so many other places in the world that I am yet to visit; but if I do go back the Parador will be my first stop.

We loved this beautiful resort. Our room had a very nice ocean view and was in the adults only building which was really nice. We mostly hung out in the adults only areas. I do wish the pool bar was in the adults only section. Getting out and going through the restaurant where people were dining to get our drinks was inconvenient... but definitely didn't kill the experience. The resort takes you (but you can also just walk) to one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. There were so many monkeys around and we also enjoyed watching a couple sloths. The service was great and we loved relaxing here.

Our stay at Hotel Parador was truly exceptional. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the staff's friendliness added a welcoming touch to our experience. The breathtaking ocean view from our room set the perfect backdrop for our anniversary celebration. What pleasantly surprised us was the thoughtful gesture of a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries, a spa coupon, and a warm welcome letter – a delightful beginning to our celebration. Each day brought unexpected joys as we encountered wild animals, including sloths and monkeys, within the hotel premises, making our stay not only comfortable but also a memorable wildlife adventure. A sincere thank you to Hotel Parador for creating such a special and unforgettable atmosphere for our trip.

We cannot say enough about this resort. The rooms were fantastic and clean. The views are amazing and the service was very good, very helpful, and prompt. The food was pretty good as well. It's worth noting the price to eat is comparative many of the beach front restaurants in Manuel Antonio. Free shuttle to the beach/national park runs pretty much all day. Will have to note specifically that Johnny (driver) was great and very helpful and that Elias (tour guide) was amazing and I would personally do any tour he offered as he as a guide makes the tour even better.

Fantastic resort. The whole property is very well maintained. Staff was very nice. The food was amazing, especially the included breakfast buffet.

Convenient shuttle to Manuel Antonio park.

They have a small nature trail on the resort. On one day, there was a pack of white-faced monkeys right outside of our room.

Wish we stayed longer. Highly recommended

Rooms are every thing you would expect in a 5 star resort: well furnished, spacious and breathtaking views. Coupled with personalized service that boarders on perfecto! It is a bit of a distance to the beach. The resort golf carts can take you to the beach trail and you’ll have about a 10 minute walk. As you would expect the beach is beautiful.

It doesn't get much better than this resort hotel. Beautiful location on the Pacific Ocean, comfortable, spacious air-conditioned rooms, fine dining, expert service catering to guests' every need, family pool, adult only pool, jacuzzi, shuttle service, local excursions. You could stay on the property and not get bored. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time at The Parador! Perfect views, tons of wildlife, food and drink was amazing and served by the friendliest staff. Many great beaches (not to mention the Manuel Antonio National Park) and other restaurants very close by, but you will question yourself every time you think about leaving. I will be back someday!

Beautiful hotel property! Enjoyed walking the Monkey Trail every morning. Booked all of the tours with the hotel and enjoyed everyone of them! Many thanks to Randall the server who smiles all the time and gave us excellent recommendations on dinner: the pork belly is to die for with the tamarind sauce on top!

Stayed here for three nights towards the end of our time in Costa Rica. On arrival we were greeted with a much needed refreshing drink, check in wasn't for a couple of hours but we were given a room number so that the porters could take the bags to the rooms for us when they were ready.
The rooms are large, with two double beds and crucially very good Aircon, which was a must as the 34C+ heat and 80%+ humidity really takes its toll! There's a fridge and coffee percolator, as well as a kettle too. Not long after we were in our room a few white-faced monkeys stopped by right outside and played in front of the room which was great to watch - we also saw a sloth and iguanas whilst there without even trying!
There are two pools, one small adult only pool, and a larger (split in two) with the swim-up bar - plus a small one with a view but not really big enough to swim in. The bar does great fresh fruit cocktails, and the food is pretty good and large portions, good for lunch.
There's also a shop onsite which does cold drinks, snacks and ice cream, as well as souvenirs and beer etc.
There's a few restaurant options - the first night we tried the Sushi bar, which had some good food with big portions - not very authentic compared to when we were in Japan (but not many outside there come close really) - more geared up to an American taste, but still enjoyable
There is also a more 'upmarket' restaurant, with an a la carte menu. We ate here one night and had a pretty bad experience, over an hour and a half after ordering and no food, despite chasing several times - we had to walk out as it was not acceptable. However we did receive a call about half an hour later from guest services, first to apologise profusely and send food to our room free of charge, and secondly to try and make things right for us after the bad experience. So the next night we were invited back for a complimentary meal there, to prove it was a one off and not a regular occurrence - to their credit, not many places would do this, but the service we got was exemplary, we had 2 courses with wine and got our food in good time, in fact we were finished and back to the room in less than 1.5h this time! The staff were again very apologetic for the previous night, which affected everyone not just us, and the meal (and wine) we had was fantastic - and we could tell everyone was getting the same service, it wasn't just for us, so it was almost certainly a redemption.
The hotel offers a free bus service to the beach and entrance to Manuel Antonio national park, which we took advantage of one day she was very useful to get around. We also walked one of the trails and to the viewpoint which is well worth doing too.
Breakfast was one of the best ones we'd had on our 2-week tour - so much choice of fresh food, great omelettes, and the choice does change each morning too.
Overall this resort is an amazing experience for a few days relaxing - I would say the 3 days we had was about as much as needed given what is there to do (we were in a heat wave even the locals were struggling with) - but if you want to just spend time around the pool or the nearby beach then staying longer would be fine

The parador is a very family friendly resort and you will see a tremendous amount of nature. We were able to see so many birds and mammals without even leaving the resort. We were able to see howler monkeys and capuchins as well as sloths all over the resort. Some of the most amazing birds we saw were at the resort. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is amazing. Our favorite restaurant was La Fragata, both for the food but especially for the view. It’s really amazing to have dinner as macaws fly by. The other thing we liked was that it was more removed from Quepos because it made it felt more peaceful. Also it’s very close to a beach( but it’s a bit rocky in term of both the walk down to the beach as well as the beach itself. I would highly recommend closed toed water shoes). There is also a very convenient free hotel shuttle to the main public beach which is much sandier but also more crowded . The take home is that we would definitely go back to the Parador.

Perfectly laid out architecture in a beautiful natural setting with monkeys, sloths, iguanas… an ideal spot for families or couples. There’s a nice little “secret” beach 500m away.

The Parador exceeded our expectations for our stay in Quepos, Costa Rica! The views from the hotel were amazing, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious! When compared to the other hotel we stayed at up the street, the Parador was the clear winner and we will definitely be back in the future!

The Hotel “Parador Resort & Spa” of Manuel Antonio is a large four-star hotel located on the mountain of the “Quepos” peninsula (south of “Quepos” and north of the “Manuel Antonio” National Park). As soon as you arrive, you are startled by the size of the facility, but the first time you walk towards the room, your fear of having landed in a concrete environment disappears. The green area is extremely beautiful. The entire complex is tastefully embedded in a forest of various tropical plants and trees. The view of the sea is magnificent. The entire hotel and green area are very well maintained and has several swimming pools for adults and children. There are also different restaurants. The breakfast and food are excellent and correspond to the price standards of four- or five-star hotels. We found the hotel's own nature hiking trail particularly beautiful. However, we found it a shame that you couldn't go directly from the hotel on foot to the beaches immediately next to it and that this was only possible by taxi or the hotel's own bus shuttle (Playa Playita or Playa Manuel Antonio / Espadilla). The entire complex is quiet and relaxing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The other services largely correspond to the usual standards of good, higher-priced tourist hotels in the country. We have no reason to complain and are happy to award five stars.

This was the perfect hotel to stay in on our last few days in Costa Rica. All the staff were really helpful and friendly.
The hotel was kept very clean and tidy, the cleaning staff did an amazing job 👏
We also had some lovely meals.
If you like wildlife this is the hotel to stay at, you will most likely see a range of wildlife by the pool, dining area or around the stunning gardens and monkey trail 😁

Had a fantastic relaxing time after an energetic exploration of this amazing country, visiting San Jose, Tortuguero, Arenal and Manuel Antonio. We were especially impressed with the friendly and attentive service. The wildlife is all around, up close and personal. A lizard and iguana were regular, curious visitors outside our room and breakfast where we also spotted white faced Capuchins, squirrel monkeys, sloths and various birds
