El Santuario Canopy Adventure Tour

This was by far one of the best experiences I've had so far! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was wonderful! From start to finish, the guides were kind, professional, and made everyone feel comfortable and safe. The focus on safety was always there. There was no one time that safety protocols were not followed. The zip lines and the suspension bridges were amazing with incredible views, and wildlife was abundant. As well as many other creatures, we had the pleasure of also seeing a pair of sloths! The lunch they served was delicious, and the pictures that they offered were amazing! Everything that they have on their website is accurate! Do not miss out on this experience!

We were a group of 60 somethings. We had an absolute blast!!! Guides were exceptional. Course was excellent. Top notch gear and safety. Highly recommend this tour🥰. You need to be okay with climbing, bridges and open stairs but everything was very safe.

We went as a group of 4 on 2/23/2024. We were picked up at our hotel right on time. The trip was very well organized, safe and really fun. The staff is great with some bantering and fun, while absolutely making sure everyone in the group follows safely through the course. The views, lines walks, bridges were spectacular. The fruit snack at the beginning as well as the awesome freshly cooked chicken lunch was fabulous. I don't give many reviews, but this place really nailed it perfectly. Well worth the time and the cost of $85 per person is a bargain! Enjoy!!!

Amazing day of zip lining! Worth every penny and upward staircase I had to climb!

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I felt very safe. They also got lots of wonderful pics of all of us which were very reasonably priced.

The zip lines were awesome! The guides were so cool - they would point out creatures they saw along the way. Our guides even found a tarantula burrow and shined a light in so we could see it. They let us hold one of the yellow spiders! (Interaction with spiders is completely voluntary). Our experience was great and we always felt safe. Thanks for an awesome time! Also since we paid through TripAdvisor, they included the photos they took for free.
Pick up from our hotel and dropoff was also prompt and timely.

Our family has gone zip lining in Costa Rica before and this was BY FAR one of the best experiences we have had. Making reservations and communication was excellent and easy, the experience was filled with a fabulous variety of lines, steps and hanging bridges which made it memorable. The guides were not only super attentive but fun and calm. We didn’t have a worry at all.

Went on a Sunday and had the place to ourselves! Ziplines were great and I felt comfortable and safe in my harness and under the supervision of our knowledgable guides. The views were amazing as the grounds are protected and well maintained.

We had a phenomenal tour with the guys at Sanctuario! They were funny, safe, friendly and made our boys (11&9) feel so successful! I’ve done many canopy tours in Costa Rica and this was one of my favorite trips so far!

We also loved that we could drive our own car there and leave when ready.

We were hosting an adventure retreat and this zip line tour was part of our package. What a fabulous decision!! It was truly amazing. The staff was not only knowledgeable and professional, they were super fun. We rode 10 lines and they were long as well as super fast!! A surprise drop out of a tall tree at the end was so fun and cool. We didn’t expect a meal, but that was provided as well.

There were even rope bridges to cross which added to the adventure.

They even took pics that you could purchase. Oh, and my son had a go-pro and they had a clip for it to attach to his helmet.

I'm usually not into extreme and was absolutely convinced that I will either bail or have a horrible time... On the contrary, I absolutely LOVED IT!!! The El Santuario team made us feel right "at home" and did a great job keeping things light while giving us clear and thorough safety instructions. Thrilling, exhilarating ziplining experience combined with breathtaking views of the firrest followed by a delicious Tico meal was definitely a highlight of our trip. Thank you, guys! Pura Vida!

OK just stop reading the reviews and book the tour. These guys are the bomb, the real deal, the cream of the crop. They make everything enjoyable and take safety to the nth degree. Towers structures are built strong enough to hold up a tank. To top it off, at the end Mama had cooked a lunch to satisfy any palate.

Amazing experience in nature! Staff were incredibly friendly, informative and made the excursion so fun. The equipment is top tier and you feel safe the whole time. The views are amazing and you may even see some wildlife, especially in the mornings. Cannot recommend enough!

One of the best canopy zipline adventures. Others will pale to try and compete. Pickup n dropoff at our hotel, pro friendly crew, lots of staff, location deep in the forest. Hang on tight for an awesome adventure 100's of feet above the forest floor.

Our experience was nothing short of outstanding! The guides make you feel safe and are very professional. My family & I had the best time zip lining and afterwards we enjoyed the most delicious homemade Costa Rican meal! The clean facilities and gear were also appreciated. Don’t hesitate booking this exciting excursion! You’ll be happy you did!

Outstanding in every way! Communication was perfect, I was able to book through WhatsApp by texting their number and speaking with Francesca (who was super nice). I had my own car, so we met at a small, local airport and I followed the tour group through a few miles of palm groves and small family farms on a dirt road that ended at El Santuario on private property. The welcome was wonderful and among the beautiful flowers were tasteful restrooms and a seating area with tables, benches, cold water and juice were provided (and water and fruit was during the activity).

We were all fitted with gear and then we hopped into vans or back of a truck to head to the foot of the course. There was a brief but necessarily informative safety lesson, and then we were on our way! I’m pretty sure there were 10 zip lines altogether with the longest taking over 90 seconds to complete…you can even race someone with parallel lines at one of them, spin around, or even hang upside down! Juan was my amigo and was helpful along the way not only in assisting me to film some great footage, but also as a guide to some local flora and fauna like the endangered “Hot Lips” plant (psychotria sp. elata), a plant with beautiful red flowers used for millennia by indigenous healers who used the plant for a variety of ailments, and the giant but docile banana spider (there ARE venomous varieties, but these were not those).

Any the end, we rappelled down a tall tree and awaited a ride back to base where a delicious home-cooked typical Costa Rican lunch was waiting for us. You can purchase photos that they take along the way of each person or be happy with what you’re able to take. I liked having my phone with me and was able to secure it in zipped pockets, especially when capturing all the adventure and even the occasional blue morpho butterfly!

I definitely recommend El Santuario Canopy Tours. Some of the walking to go from line to line may be difficult for people who have physical limitations. Even though it was warm and humid the day I went (went for the earliest tour at 7:40 AM), I did opt to wear lightweight/quick dry hiking pants and good hiking boots. Some people were wearing shorts and sneakers, which was fine, but I was much more comfortable in more appropriate gear, considering you are in a jungle with all the jungle critters around you! If you visit Manuel Antonio (which you SHOULD!), definitely check them out for a once in a lifetime treat that you’ll never forget.

We loved the El Santuario Canopy Adventure Tour.

The staff was great. There were about 5-7 guides that let our group through the canopy tour. We went through the tour at a relaxed pace and could truly enjoy each line. It is nice that there were pauses on the ground and we didn't have to stay up on platforms the entire time. The break system is awesome with no jerking to stop and having handles to keep you positioned facing forward is a game changer. A huge plus is that transportation from our accommodation was included along with a Casado afterwards!

This was a fun adventure to have while visiting. All the staff is very friendly (and a good sense of humour too). Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to try zip lining. The included meal was also one of the better casados that I have had during my stay so far. If you have a go pro it’s great, and you can bring a phone, but it’s sketchy to try and pack it around.
The photos they provide are $17 and honestly it’s easier than trying to get your own.
Overall very happy I went with this!

Amazing tour and ziplines! Everything is taken care of - from transportation to lunch and everything in between. We would recommend getting there early and avoiding some of the heat. The ziplines feel very safe and well maintained and lots of current safety gear and well trained staff. Would highly recommend!

It was a great experience for my family. Instructors made us feel comfortable, taking away the nervousness and anxiety. Lunch, pictures and transportation were included as a package.
