Located in the jungle you hear the sounds all around you. Staff is super friendly and willing to help you in every way.

We had a late check in and even though the kitchen was closing in a few minutes we were given the complete menu to select our dinner what was incredibly nice.
The cocktails are really good and the made a lot of house style which is also very good.

Enjoyed the pools in the morning, no heating needed as the water was 29 degrees at 9:30 😁

This place was great. A bit rustic and cozy. Great location, lots to see and do. I thought it was very centrally locationed. Food was good.

This place was magical. The food was yummy, the drinks are the bar were ok. The rooms had no fridges, no ice machines. You could ask the bar tender for ice but there are no containers to carry it in. This is only a slight inconvenience, but sometimes you want a cold beverage in your room after hiking all day. This would be an outstanding location for a wedding. It's stunning.

We stayed two nights at Villa Lapas mid-June with rain in the afternoons. The room was clean, comfortable, and air conditioned. The food in the dining area was good and served buffet style. The lodge has a nice bar area and a fantastic frog pond, so many different types of frogs. The Rio Tarcolitos runs through the hotel grounds. It is safe to wade (like no crocodiles) and sit in lounge chairs and enjoy the water.

The lodge is very close to Parque Nacional Carara. We did a fantastic long morning guided tour our first morning there and went back after lunch to hike on our own in the parque. The lodge is also very close to the boat docks for Rio Tarcoles boat tours. We enjoyed a fabulous birding tour with Jungle Crocodile boat tours on our second morning before breakfast.

This was a very nice place. The food was amazing and the grounds has a church and cantina for having weddings. We enjoyed staying her the most throughout our whole trip.

We had a wonderful time here.
The meals as part of the all-inclusive were really lovely with good variety, as were the cocktails.
Staff were so friendly and accommodating of our baby.
The surroundings are idyllic and we saw a lot of wildlife including a monkey on the sky way tour.
Accommodation is rustic but has everything you need.
Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful place and great staff. The fine and flore around is mind blowing. We loved each minute of our stay and we enjoyed the activities proposed. The chef makes sure you have a good experience despite the fact that they had not much options for vegetarians. The only thing that I have to suggest is to have more staff that speak English since the majority of the clientele speaks mostly English. We loved it and we highly recommend the place.
NB: Jaco beach is 35-40 min from the hotel.

A wonderful place in the jungle, beautiful nature, a swimming pool on the territory, an excellent recreation area, you can have a good rest from the noise of cities, you can meet wild non-dangerous animals, delicious simple cuisine, beautiful territory. There is one drawback - it is very humid in the rooms, clothes are soaked in moisture, there are problems with hot water ( But this did not prevent us from resting)Wonderful stay.

Super nice place in a remote quiet area. Plan on around $200 US a night. Had restaurant and small store. Near Skywalk attraction.

I visited this hotel as part of a shore Excursion and pleasantly surprised to see many interesting plants and trees at this facility. The grounds are beautiful and I could highly recommend it if you are interested in having a tropical wedding in a beautiful location with great lodgings for your invited guests!!

Wonderful experience at least five beaches with in 20 mins away. Beautiful mountain top that oversees a waterfall and exquisite rainforest. Delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a hospitable staff. Rooms are incredibly clean and large. Brilliantly placed jungle and river tour done by the hotel, also endless amount of adventure ten mins south on hwy 34. Jaco is a pleasant 25 mins away with great restaurants along the way.

Beautiful Hotel, clean rooms and enjoyable pools

the rustic experience is well worth the price,

all inclusive on food and drinks is a great addition

the food here is by far some of the best food iv eaten in my life

however the "free" drinks do tend to be a bit watered down

still enjoyable non the less

the staff is friendly, accommodating, and clean. The rooms were cleaned daily. There is always at least one staff member accessible on the eco resort. The shower had great water pressure. The beds were firm, not bad for me just something to be mindful of. The grounds were green and lush. The maintenance team deserves an applause for keeping this place beautiful. The buffet style breakfast gives you a taste of the culture. The surrounding wildlife is to be expected- so prepare yourself for exotic insects, gorgeous birds, chirping crickets, and for bees to be attracted to the natural miel(honey)for your toast. The evening thunderstorms made the air breeze invigorating and the sky light visible.
Be prepared for the sun to be gone by 6pm, strong evening showers so shoes with grip are a must! Note: there are few (if any) mosquitos noticable bug spray is suggested and prepare for the humidity. Sweat will occur, so dress loosely- give in to the beautiful atmosphere and jump into one of the multiple pools after lunch. If possible bring a dehumidifier, your nose will thank you for it! All in all loved this place, don't want to leave! xoxo

Really nice place, good food, cheap drinks and close proximity to lots of activities. Very focused on ecological side of things and comfortable rooms. The area by the river is perfect for birdwatching.
