Vista Mar

This was my favorite meal in Costa Rica. I shared the seafood platter with a friend. It was absolutely excellent! So fresh and delicious! Lobster, Manila clams, razor clams, fish, squid, and shrimp in a garlic butter sauce. We also shared the mixed seafood ceviche not knowing how large the portions are. The ceviche was also delicious and fresh, but it wasn't the best ceviche I had during my week in C.R. I would certainly recommend this place and definitely recommend the seafood platter, as it was excellent!! I would also recommend to arrive very hungry as the portions are very generous. I found the service to be very prompt, attentive, and friendly. I enjoyed the open beachy vibe and large wooden tables as well. It's a nice casual atmosphere with excellent seafood. It was a little pricey but worth it.

When we sat down and asked how their margaritas were and they said the best in Costa Rica, we laughed but nearing now the end of a 12 day stay in Costa Rica having tried margaritas at a variety of establishments, Vista Mar had hands down THE BEST margaritas. Their seafood platter was also incredible wish amazingly fresh food made even better by their chef. I suspect the secret is their mandarin limes. Would highly recommend this unassuming spot right off the highway with a beautiful view of the beach. Tell the very friendly owner Ronald we said hello!

Was here as part of a day tour.

They offered a traditional Costa Rican dish inwhich you got to choose steak/ chicken/ Fish.

Stopped here on the way down to Dominical. Food was excellent service was good. Catch on the day was Mai Mai.

Very good meal here with a great view of the ocean. The arroz con pollo and mar y tierra were delicious. We also had the hamburger and sea bass. All great options!

Great food. There is also a runner near the restaurant that goes under the street and to the beach. Food was more expensive tree han expected but everything was excellent!

The seafood is amazing!! Chile Mar was over the top delish! If you cross the road the beach is beautiful. It's a hidden treasure!

The best sea food! I love their food, service and it has a great view of the ocean. I love this place and take all my friends and family when they are here on vacation.

Food was excellent, portions are big so be prepared. There are vegan options. Service was good as well and the place has parking space.

Fantastic restaurant across the highway from Playa Pita. Great service in lovely atmosphere with typical Costa Rican fare. Excellent seafood, ask for recommendations.
