El Jalisciense Restaurante

Amazing! Not only was the food delicious, and at a reasonable price, the staff were so kind and accommodating. They were able to make a vegetarian dish, off the menu, for me and it was delicious! The server was very friendly and attentive. If you are looking for Mexican food in La Fortuna, I highly recommend this place.

Hands down the best restaurant I've eaten at in CR thus far, and i am staying at a 4-star hotel! I am Mexican and from California and was feeling a little home sick, and this place cured the sickness. The food and Mexican michelada were delicious and authentic, and the service was excellent! We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Mexican dining experience. I will be back again for dinner. Lol. Oh, and there is free strong wifi!

We had a wonderful experience at El Jalisciense. There were not many reviews that we could find, because the restaurant is fairly new. The owners were very friendly and made some recommendations for us. They provided us with some homemade tortilla chips and refried bean dip, which were very tasty. I asked for some hot sauce, and two homemade hot sauces were provided, which were amazing. I had a Jalisco burrito, and my wife and daughter shared the Alambre tacos. The burrito was massive, and filled with slow cooked beef and rice, covered in queso and a slice of avocado. It was delicious, and I was happily stuffed upon devouring it. My wife and daughter enjoyed the tacos with homemade pico de gallo, they were fresh and flavorful. There was ample parking outside. Not only was the atmosphere, service and food tot-notch, but it was very affordable as well. The best food I have had in Costa Rica.

Very nice Mexican food! We loved the tacos and nachos and super friendly service.
As Europeans we were surprised by the large portions and ordered way more than we could eat 😄. One dish per person is sufficient. Delicious and would come back anytime!

The food was so delicious (enchiladas & tacos al pastor), and at a great price in comparison. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for Mexican food in La Fortuna!

Very friendly family owned restaurant overlooked around the corner. We were staying nearby, so we tried out the food. They tasted authentic. We ordered tacos, birria, enchilada, and soup, all good especially the beef birria tacos. If you have a craving for Mexican food, be sure to stop by!

The absolute BEST birria tacos I've ever had in my life! I would come here every day and end up broke if I lived in the area. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was very authentic and I would come back in a heartbeat.

This is a small understated place, but we had lunch there and I think this was the best Mexican food I ever had. (For reference I’m not Mexican but I live in California so have some experience) I’m spending 3 days in fortuna and I will be back.

Great food, we did take-out 👍. Had a cold beer while we waited and we were served delicious warm chips and refried beans while we waited.

La comida estaba impresionante, relación calidad precio insuperable y el trato excelente. Además tienen chuches de Tamarindo! Sin duda alguna uno de los mejores sitios para comer en Costa Rica.

La comida es realmente mexicana, excelente sabor y la relacion precio es muy buena. De los mejores mexicanos que he encontrado afuera fe mexico. Las tortillas son muyyyy ricas de puro maiz. El taco debirra con queso , el taco fr alambre y lis tacos al pastor espectaculares

Probé los tacos de queso birrea y estaban riquísimos. Calidad de comida. Precio accesible y un ambiente acordé al tema. Las dueñas muy amables. Volveré sin duda.
