Hotel Cayo Guillermo

I was at the hotel from January 3 to January 6, amazing staff always with a big smile on their faces ... wonderful beach, it's really stunning!! The main attraction for me, has a beautiful pier ... the rooms are always clean, with a small detail that makes your vacation count every day. See you soon my friends!

The staff here is amazing, very friendly, food could be better and they ran out of wine, but overall a great experience. The outdoor bar was open 24/7 which made it nice to get a drink whenever, and this resort wasn’t that busy so at night it would end up just being my group outside which was nice!

My husband and I just spent an amazing week at Melia Cayo Guillermo. We have been traveling to Cuba for over 20 years, and the beach at this resort was outstanding, you can even go snorkeling off their beautiful walkway over the water! (Or fishing if you want to!)
The cleanliness of this hotel is quite impressive, from the rooms, to the grounds, public areas, restaurants, you name it, I couldn’t find any fault. There was always someone cleaning, painting, washing floors, and this is a very important feature at any resort.
You can always find something to eat at the buffet (thank you Edel for all your hard work) but the restaurants were fantastic! Everything we ate was delicious and the staff extremely friendly, and I loved the white wine! The entertainment staff also did an outstanding job.
Carlos the General Manager could always be seen from early morning to evenings, ensuring that the customers were well taken care of and that everyone was enjoying their stay. He is an extremely valuable asset to this resort and Melia is lucky to have employees like Carlos on their staff. I wish everyone was as conscientious as he is, even here at home!

Just came back from a one week vacation with my daughter and friends. First of all general manager Carlos was excellent. Made a point everyday to ask how everything was. Food was great, our party commented everyday how good it was. Lots of variety and always hot food. The workers were so kind and very accommodating. The beach here is probably one of the most beautiful beaches you ever see and swim in. Honestly, a resort I would definitely come back to.

Holiday of a lifetime
I went for two weeks with my family and it was amazing. The beach has to be seen to be believed, and the people are completely wonderful. The food was fresh, good quality and varied, the grounds were immaculate, the staff couldn't do enough for us, and the new manager Carlos really takes a personal interest in every one of his guests.
The pool, entertainment, and activities were great, and in particular the kids club was wonderful and our two boys fell in love with Sally hhh she is a girl in change of children a special we love you

Everything that I was looking for beautiful hotel very clean beautiful beaches food choice was excellent and the service very good. They were plenty to do in the day with the animation team if you wanted,or you could just relaxed. I saw two weddings which was very romantic. There was a discotec just about 5 minutes from the hotel which the animation team tools us there and brought us back. Had a fantastic time, I recommend to go there. Please take mosquito lotions,sun lotions after sun and you medications that are very expensive to buy.

All the staff is super nice. They do a lot of funny activities during the day. The beach is amazing super clear water. The food at the restaurants is not the best one but the buffet is good and has a lot of options. I totally recommend this hotel

Hello! If you want to relax and have fun you should visit this incredible place. Hotel Melia Cayo Guillermo, Cuba, the best resort to get all that. Beautiful, huge beach, rooms with nice view, very polite workers. Service was amazing, people ready to help you at any time. I went there by myself on March 18-25, 2018, the weather was perfect. Also its a good place where you go for a trip. I went on one and it was fantastic, we had a speed boat ride on a lake, we went to the city Moron, we had a lunch and saw a crocodile farm. Best experience ever. Show every night different, entertainment team great. Look forward to visit this place again. I suggest hotel Melia Cayo Guillermo, Cuba.

Just returned from an amazing stay at this hotel and cant wait to go back.
The service of the staff is second to none and they really make you feel welcome and cant do enough for you.
Our room was spacious with comfy beds and more importantly clean with the maids servicing every day. Yes the rooms are a little dated however, this is Cuba and they do a fantastic job with what they have.
There are a choice of restaurants which offer good variety as well as events that offer outdoor dining such as the Cuban day and the White Knights (highly recommend and very romantic by the pool)
We found the food to be good with meat and fish cooked to order and your liking in front of you if you wish.
The entertainment provided was excellent and to be honest you would pay good money to see some of the shows in their own right
The grounds are extremely well kept and the pool was great, swim up bar was also a nice bonus
The location looked like it was straight out of a movie backing onto white coral sands and clear waters
The entertainment was also good with a range of activities provided both on the beach and by the pool during the day, followed by music, shows and a disco at night.
They also offer some great excursions which are great value for money. Particularly like the one to a private island with snorkelling
I would also recommend that you take insect repellent as this is a tropical Island
Would like to mention Barbara and Yunsiel who made the extra effort for us along with Carlos the Manager who even gave us a nice little surprise as it was our anniversary, leaving us feeling that we were not just guests but also parted as friends.

We were at the hotel a week ago and everything was wonderful, the people very friendly and always smiling, the perfect place, really a paradise, a warm beach and quiet enough space for everyone, has a pier that goes into the ocean. The nice rooms and very attentive maids .. the lobby bar has the best coffee ... see you in the next guys

my wife and i were there the week of march 16 to the 23 we had an amazing time the people there are fantastic and friendly food was good and the resort was excellent. the beach was definitely one of the best beaches i have seen. we will definitely be back to this resort. If you go here be sure to stop at the lobby bar after 3 pm and see pico he was the best bartender. the people at the pool bar were also great.

Paradise! Beach, service, quality of food, perfect balance between peacefulness/relaxation/quiet and entertainment. This resort for the value is outstanding. Much better rooms and layout and cleaniness than the Melia Cayo Coco (and Pullman) which are resorts we frequent often. I will definitely return next year. The staff are incredibly service-oriented, polite and professional. The General Manager Carlos is working hard to improve the resort and he is doing wonderful work! Jimmy, the massage therapist, ...what can I say?? Every vacation I book a massage but there is no one who can top Jimmy not even in the therapists I frequent in Canada! Very professional and very relaxing! The set up for massage therapy is incredible - nice breeze, great privacy and outdoors! This beach is so clean and the pool is perfection! You don't have to get up at 4am to get a chair anywhere even though the resort is fully booked! What a nice change!!!! The food in the buffet was excellent! Terry who is a day time server in the main bar lobby is absolutely a hard worker and so service oriented. He brought coffee and cappucinos (which I might add were the best we have had ever in Cuba) to our rooms every morning. The balconies were private and the room were very clean and spacious with plenty of drawers and hangers. The hairdryer was amazing! I had no issues with the electrical - my flat iron worked without an issue. We had a perfect view of the ocean and the pool. Very comfortable beds and pillows and had the best sleeps for the 2 weeks we spent there...and we still didn't want to leave! The layout and grounds of this resort are amazing. You can have privacy at the pool or mingle with many! Great activities too! Always something to do - water aerobics, volleyball and snorkeling and kayaking or just dream away on the glorious beach. The chairs on the beach looked brand new! Thank you! What we also loved was there was always great entertainment after dinner but before each show...so there was no lag in between. It was refreshing to be in a CUBA and have the experience we had at this resort. We've travelled to Cuba many times (6), Barbados, Bahamas, Aruba, Cost Rica, Antigua, St. Thomas, Florida, and Mexico but I have to say that overall this resort offered everything we wanted and needed for a restorative and fun vacation. Special thanks to Jimmy (massage therapist) and his partner therapist who was also amazing to my mom, Terry who served us every morning the best coffee, Daniel who is an amazing server at the Beach restaurant (the best food ever is cooked at this restaurant) and great food at the snack bar. We will definitely return to this resort next year! I would rate it 5 star for its quality and service. Guest services and Lobby staff were very professional and could always assist questions. Great work Carlos and, if we can, we'll even be back this Winter! Most sincerely for one of the best vacations we have ever had! It was a pleasure meeting so many new Cuban friends and great mix of tourists! See you all soon! Thanks Carlos also for a great room! My mom's 80th was extra special because of you!

I love the place, the atmosphere and staff were courteous and very friendly, lots of activities for all ages and the mesmerizing beaches are just exceptional. The room was in mint condition and loved my king sized bed at the premium room that I stayed in.I would definitely return to this place again, Kuddos to the sales manager.

Small hotel but quiet and nice, very sociable people, old rooms but very clean. The beach beach for me is the best of this hotel, with its pier and excellent weather, Carlos the director very attentive to his clients ... I recommend it for all of you, we are planning to return

We faced an issue due to our lost baggages, but the manager director and his team help us so much and quickly to solve it and everything went good. We’ll always remember with a big smile and with love this paradise.

Beautiful Resort, Excellent attention from the hotel’s staff. We spent three days and didn’t want to leave. They had amazing shows and entertainment. Very recommended and will probably be coming back!!

For my 30th birthday and we couldn’t be happier. The stuff was more then amazing treating us like family And delivering their service with a beautiful smile at all time.
Madelyn and Diamiris are the best in customer service and they began more then friends with us and also John from the animation stuff was a very brilliant guy. Complex and Rooms are very clean!! Every day the food will be served in different part of the resort and there will be always nice show after dinner..the sea side it’s just paradise and I think I’m not gonna forget this place easily..it’s been so lovely

Stayed February 20-27th 2018, the main buildings of the resort and grounds were beautiful and very well kempt. The rooms were cleaned daily and very comfortable. The beach was the highlight of the resort, with a boardwalk out into the ocean. Entertainment daily was good as well, the beach party was the most fun night by far (the retro night a close second).
Looked at the neighbouring resorts and I would have picked ours again over them.
This Melia hotel lives up to the Melia name.
