Chuchi el pescador

Our new favourite restaurant in Playa Larga. The food is excellent and good serving size plates. The price is unbeatable and the service is fast. We really recommend the Filete Playa Larga and Maria la Gorda if you like fish or lobster.
Also, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our children didn’t feel like meat or fish the second time we visited them. We asked if they could make them sandwiches and the owner agreed to it no questions asked. They even made the sandwiches look as good as their regular menu plates. We’ll be coming back to Chuchi El Pescador every time we visit Playa Larga.

Had a terrific meal on the rooftop. No ocean views, just watching daily life in this quiet corner of Cuba. Try the Cigua: tiny sea snails that are full of flavour and you won’t see them on the standard restaurant menu. They went very well with an ice cold Cristal Extra. Worth the trip off the beaten path. Staff was very attentive and patient with our broken Spanish; we will be back!

It has definitely the best price quality ratio around. Kind and helpful service, clean spaces, big portions, delicious meals, would absolutely visit again if we're near Ciénaga de Zapada. Ñ

This restaurant was notable for 3 things. To start we had a seafood soup which was sensational: chunks of fish and lobster. Second up was the sea snail cervice: known locally as cigua, was a first for me and pretty good. Finally but perhaps most importantly, the vibe here was fun and the waitresses friendly.

Best cooked seafood in the region. Fantastic quality and prices about half of what you'd pay for the tourist spots on the beach. We arrived early (645pm) and by the time we left there were queues of people waiting to get in. A must

this restaurant is a reason to visit cuba! cangrejo at its best - fresh from the sea directly on the plate. a true feast for crab lovers. don't miss it!

Lovely for seafood. The fried fish was very nice, the shrimps were also divine. You don't get a menu but you needn't worry about the price, in the end it comes out entirely reasonable. We paid the equivalent of just under 30€ for 4 different seafoods (including lobster) plus mojitos (do recommend) and beer (do not recommend). Very good value for money, good service and great food. Will come back.

Great expiriance staff was very attentive I ordered deep fried fish, fish soup, and my wife had conch ceviche and it was good you could taste the freshness. I highly recommend the pescado frito!!

Estuvimos visitando varios restaurantes en la zona y ninguno nos convenció porque no tenían variedad de comida, sin embargo aquí nos sorprendimos porque tenían desde ropa vieja hasta cigua, estuvimos pidiendo langosta, cangrejo, calamar y verdaderamente todos los platos estaban espectaculares. Le service est plutôt rapide, prix un peu élevés mais en bonne qualité. Le trio de poisson était très bon !

Super petit restaurant mine de rien mais les plats sont excellent et on a pu même manger du crocodile et de la tortue. Un régal. Le service est super.
