Dvůr Králové Zoo

One of the famous zoos in Czechia. I do recommend buying the safari entry as you will witness the animals from within the reach of your hands. Don't pet them though! Lions area is really the best, but sometimes you need to wait in a line of cars as only 3 are allowed to enter at the same time (for obvious reasons). The security measures are impressive and I almost felt like in Jurassic park, the movie.
I really liked the "Madagascar and tropical world" exposition. Felt almost real. But above all the safari tour was the best.
A small hint: download the application beforehand on the phone plugged to car audio. Yes, there is an app with voiceover about the safari areas and even the animals.

Very good experience at the zoo! Well priced comparing to other similar places in western europe. Super kind staff. Free parking in front of the zoo (watch out for scam parking lots trying to charge you). Food at the food courts is not good, but i guess it is typical for similar places. Animals at the zoo are well maintained and do have large enclosures. You need around 4 h to see all attractions at the zoo. On top of it safari ride is > 30 min. I suggest driving your own car instead of taking safari bus or afrika bus. This way you get a chance to stop by animals for longer while.

I was here for a week, had a tour by the original owner's son and enjoyed it. There was surprisingly a lot to do, The zoo is worth visiting, even when you're there just for the safari!

My best experience with animal parks and ZOO ever! Giraffe 1 cm from my hand! Zebras and wildebeest running in front of our car.
Animals are in great condition, roads nice and park well mantained.

Still, I would recommend taking some food for kids with, because the offer is not so good and delicious.

Beautiful place to spend time with children. Territory is quite big. A lot of animals and birds, they look very good. Several playgrounds for kids and places to eat. Want to visit one more time)) Tickets online are cheaper🙃

Safari part was a stretch, except lions, they are the best!

The pedestrian part of the zoo was amazing. It was focused on africa mainly. Animals had loads of space. Only thing i didn't like was that orangutan seemed lonely. The rest? Love!

Nice place to visit. I recommend not to take car tour, but go on foot and take a safari bus from the middle of the zoo (mind that it's may be a long walk though).
The Safari Park is huge, well planned and has a lot to offer, also for families with children.

Wow. We live close to a populair Safari park but this park is amazing. Lots of space for the animals, can be done by foot or by car (and by foot afterwards). The train (if you don’t have a car) seems to be in the local language so we took our car. Also try the cinnamon roll and coffee, it’s good. Enjoy!

Really nice place, there are lots of animals you can be interested in. Unfortunately we couldn't enter the Safari - lack of tickets, I recommend to book in advance on the website, but walking is also good. We have spend 4 hours.
Just be attentive while buying coffee, they are giving cups without asking and charging, but it is plastic and you could give it as a souvenir 😊

Absolutely amazing zoo with Safari. Could see lots of animals in close distance.

Additionally, lots of spaces were provided to animals. So they looked quite nice condition.

Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful place with wide areas for animals wandering in almost liberty. No wonder they have grown so many rare species. Worth the trip for a beautiful day

Awesome place for young and older, with “standard” zoo and African Safari experience - you can enter with own car and drive next to animals, including lion reserve.

A very beautiful zoo, I always am happy to come back. It's quite big, so walking trough the whole zoo can be a bit tiring, but worth it. It is popular, so expect long queues everywhere. As it gets colder, the animals move in the pavillions, so those small building are crowded. I would recommend visiting not long after the zoo opens in the morning.

Great zoo! Camping there is a must. Can get really busy, so be prepared for crowds. Great exhibits and animal experiences.

Very nice Zoo. Good place for a one day family trip from Prague. You can arrange a guided tour that will bring you “behind the sceen” (feeding giraffes, hippos, games for kids, safari drive). We spent an amazing day there and would certainly cone again.

We visited ZOO for a very long time. And I must say, I was really impressed, a few new pavilions - giraffe, hippopotamus lake, road to lions looks much better, So, they did a lot of work. If you imagine how hard Is hard to také care about this, you can't be angry about proces for entry or good.
