The best zoo in the world. We spent 5 hours at the zoo and still didn't see everything, so expect to do a lot of walking (around 10km). We took a taxi however public transport links seem reasonably easy to use. The enclosures in the zoo are very spacious and all of the animals looked very well cared for. Our highlight was the polar bear.

Visited on a Tuesday in November. The zoo was practically empty, so it was an amazing experience walking around and seeing the animals without having to queue or worry about other people. It was definitely the best zoo I have ever been to. It took us the whole day to explore and walk around, by the time we finished it was closing time and we were absolutely exhausted. The design and the layout is fantastic and we had an awesome time.

We stopped at the restaurant too and I must say the prices weren’t too bad it being a zoo restaurant. We had Goulash and it was fantastic, very tasty.

The zoo is also very easy to get to, we took the bus and a tram. Worth a visit for sure!

Great experience and a lot of walk-in exhibitions with roaming animals. There are also scheduled activities on weekends and state holidays where they feed the animals and give presentations. Quite a large area as well so prepare at least 5 hours to see it all. You can buy snacks and drinks from vending machines. There are a few buffets as well with fast food. Try to avoid rush hours

Very cute zoo, extremely diverse in species. I saw animals that I have never seen before which was awesome (and I have travelled the world). Expect alot of walking and it up and down hills.
I was pleasantly surprised on the cleanliness on the bathrooms, previously, I have found zoo restrooms not to be very clean but these were.

Very spread out and lots to see. Quite a few cafes and toilets. Well kept zoo. Easy to access by underground and then bus. Excellent value for us as over 70s it cost 1 CK each. Our family said it was half the cost of an English zoo visit at least.

Amazing zoo, went early on a weekday so it was very quiet and all the animals were getting fed. Best zoo experience I've had. I feel bad for the polar bear, luckily they are building a newer and bigger polar bear enclosure soon. The food in the zoo was surprisingly good value and the bus brought us from our campsite to the entrance of the zoo which was handy. Great value and great experience!

Fantastic all year round. We visit every time we go to Prague and as a whole day out it is excellent value. The bus is now super quick to get you there from Nádraží holšovice. Food and bathroom availability was a small issue when we visited in February but still plenty of choice. The views from the top of the hill are fantastic and the variety of animals and information in English was great. The collectable coins have kept us remembering our visits from the years.

The location is amazing. There is a lot of space for animals. Beautiful African giraffes. It was worth going to see them alone. The area is very big and you will get a little tired. There are small cafes in the area where you can relax. To see it completely, it is better to go early in the morning. Unfortunately, we did not see all the animals. Some were sleeping, some were not visible at all, they were hidden in their crowd. For example, the lion was so stuffed that it didn't even move 😄 it seems they don't feel the lack of food 😃 it closes at 18:00. I paid 650 kroner for the ticket for 1 child + 1 adult

Really wonderful visit at the zoo in the city of Prague. We spent there over 4 hours of almost constant walking and viewing and still didn't manage to see everything!🐘🐅🐅😊👍🏻 Our entire family (myself with my wide and 2 kids) had a great fun and we really enjoyed it very much. Strongly recommend it.
In addition a public transportation here in Prague to get to the zoo is also very good and comfortable.

One of the best zoo's i have visited in the summer. Great people, great place. Everything is organized. There are restaurants in the zoo near the elephant enclosures. In summer take your vitamins or glucose, you gotta walk a lot and it gets really hot. There's a reception near the entrance where you can buy the tickets or buy online if you don't want to stay in the queue. In summer and public holidays it gets crowded.

One of the best zoos I have been to. Make sure you give yourself the full day to see all the animals. They had a huge variety and the animals all seemed healthy and well looked after. There are loads of walk through sections which allow you to get up close and personal with some of the animals particularly the birds. If you're a fan of parrots they have a rare parrot section that was amazing. Although my favourites would have to be the huge selection of giants tortoises they have and also the honey badgers ( which are a personal favourite of mine)

I must say it's one of the best zoos I have ever been to! From start to finish, I was captivated by the incredible array of animals and the well-maintained enclosures.

The variety of species present here is simply astounding. I was thrilled to see everything from majestic lions and playful monkeys to exotic birds and fascinating reptiles. Each exhibit was thoughtfully designed to replicate the natural habitats of the animals, allowing them to thrive and providing visitors with an immersive experience.

The zoo grounds were also beautifully landscaped, providing a serene and inviting atmosphere. There were plenty of well-placed benches and shaded areas to rest and take in the surroundings. The overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities were commendable.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable experience. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a family with kids, or simply.

One of the best zoo I've ever been to. The trip around the zoo took about 5 hours but it's worth every step of it. The animals are amazing and all the enclosures are so good prepared and showed you feel like you're in a safari or in jungle. Amazing experience. I will return there for sure! Must see in Prague:)

It's a really cool place for resting and hanging out with friends.
It doesn't feel like some zoo with cages and animals - more like a huge park with animals, that you could walk really close to. The staff of this place are really nice places for enjoying the view of wildlife.

Fantastic zoo beautifully located in a park a few kilometres outside of Prague centre. We bought the tickets online in advance and scanned the QR codes at the entrance. Very convenient and no waiting. All sorts of animals both inside and outside and areas for kids to play. Many places where you can buy food and drinks and also vending machines around the entire area. Set aside at least half a day to see most of the park.

You can get REALLY close to the animals and you can even enter some of the bird enclosures! I never seen a zoo like this, where you can basically be inches from zebras and giraffes! At least for me, this was the best thing I’ve done in Prague.

Very good zoo, great selection of animals, clearly well cared for. The zoo is well laid out, the footpath is steep in parts. There are regular coffee/hot chocolate machines placed around the zoo, which are great if you visit in the winter like we did!

A fabulous day, well cared for animals with really nice enclosures and exhibits. It was really interesting to find out about the breeding and repopulation projects they have there too. Only negative note was that in 5 hours we only covered a little over half the zoo, really needed 2 days.

Had a fantastic time at the zoo. We spent 8 hours there 10:00-18:00 (6pm) and just barely saw almost everything so the earlier you go the better I think. You can get really close to a lot of the animals (still a safe distance) and they have a huge diversity of animals in well kept enclosures. A must see if you’re spending multiple days in Prague. This will likely take your whole day and all your energy. The restaurant towards the opposite end of the park from the main entrance (kinda near the elephants) was good traditional Czech food. You can buy tickets in advance to go straight to the turnstiles or buy at the counter with cash or card but there wasn’t a wait to buy at the counter on a Sunday. Everyone working there spoke English that we talked to.

Amazing! An unmissable experience and one of the most beautiful zoo parks I've seen. You have to think that you need a lot of time to calmly visit all the attractions and also a bit of physical condition!
