APOLLO Service-Kino

Despite its small size this is certainly my favourite cinema by far and one of the most "special".

Due to the small size there are only two screening rooms and coming from that the number of available movies usually doesn't match the big cinema chains.
Fitting to that, though, the prices are also lower than what I've been forced to get used to by the big chains, starting as low as 5,50€ to an acceptable maximum of 9€ at prime times. (except overly long movies).

The screening rooms are one of the two things making it special, though:
There's one very small room where you sit relatively close to the screen. This one is less a cinema room, but more of a comfortable, nice "living room" with nice seats, pillows and blankets that you can grab if you want, and in general the whole room has more of a "movie evening with friends" atmosphere. It's certainly unusual for a cinema, but a very comfortable place.

The other room is the "big" one. It fits most other cinemas, but what's special here that there's an actual bar in the back of the room and each seat has a small service button to call staff if you want to order food or drinks at any time.

Which is another great thing at this place: Sure, they have popcorn, crisps and the likes, you won't be disappointed, but they also have fresh food they actually prepare themselves, for example several kinds of baguettes if you feel like eating something "real" and not just sweets.
They also feature several cocktails and mixed drinks, named after movie characters. I'm personally a fan of their "Flubber", seemingly a mix of Sprite and woodruff.

Combined with the rooms this makes the whole visit a very comfortable experience which feels much more personal than the big cinemas these days, especially as they also have very friendly staff members.

There's not much room for parking, considering the cinema is basically a building right in the middle of a street, but you can usually find some places three or four walking minutes away.

The sound and picture quality is nice, nothing out of the ordinary, but also nothing to complain about, especially considering the prices.

This cinema is special. It's not as big as the competition and you need to make sure to get a place and the movie you want, but I just really love the atmosphere of the whole thing.
A nice looking building, inside and outside, friendly staff and very unique rooms.

Mega Mega und nochmal Mega
Einmalig in Deutschland, Personal sehr sehr professionell und sehr freundlich.
Eine Atmosphäre des Lebens und Freude wird vermittelt.
Getränke gut, Baguette schmecken sehr und und werden liebevoll zubereitet.
Es ist schon alles geschrieben worden und ich kann es zu hundert Prozent bestätigen.
Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

So einen tollen Abend hatte ich noch nie in einem Kino !! Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und einfach nur Klasse ! Die Sitze sind bequem und der gemütliche Kinosaal sauber.

Das ist wirklich Kinoerlebniss alles sauber und geordnet, die Liebe zum Detail ist ganz klar zu sehen. Das Personal ist einfach nur spitze. Es gibt eine sehr grosse Auswahl an Snacks und Getränke, die man an den Platz serviert werden . Danke für den schönen Abend.

Obwohl wir gar nicht so weit von Altena entfernt wohnen, waren wir gestern das erste mal im Apollo Service-Kino.

Im gesamten Haus herrscht eine wirklich unwahrscheinlich schöne, nette und vor allem ruhige Atmosphäre.
Und die deutlich kleinere Größe des Kinosaals hat in unseren Augen nur Vorteile!

Abgesehen davon, dass man einen solchen Service im Kino wirklich nicht mehr gewohnt ist, waren die Getränke, das doch schon besondere Popcorn, sowie die Nachos mit Käsesoße wirklich sehr lecker.

Dann muss ich natürlich das Sitzerlebnis erwähnen. Man sitzt in relativ großen, gerne auch als Pärchensitze bezeichnete Sessel, die sich wunderbar nach hinten neigen und man als Gast auch noch zwei verschiedene Kissen bekommt.
Vor sich hat man eine wunderschöne Ablage wo drunter sich noch extra Fuß Hocker befinden, damit man auch den Rest des Körpers noch sanft ablegen kann. 🤣

Im Kino hängen diverse Zeitungsartikel sowie Urkunden für die tolle Serviceleistung in einem Kino seit ca 1924.

Ich würde sagen, Kinotickets buchen, Freunde und Familie einpacken und einfach mal einen ganz besonderes Kino Flair erleben, was man so schnell nicht wiederfindet.

Die Straße auf der das Kino ansässig ist, bietet entgegen den aktuellen Kinogiganten nicht gerade viele Parkmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe des Kinos.
Also parkt weiter oben, oder weiter unten auf der Straße und lauft ein paar Schritte! 😂

Einfach ein geniales Kino mit allem was dazu gehört....Wohlfühlatmosphäre..total liebe Menschen...leckeres Essen und Getränke mit Liebe zubereitet.....immer wieder ein total schönes Erlebnis...danke das es Euch gibt!

Sehr süßes und behagliches Kino! Alle Mitarbeiter sind super nett und man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Ja, es hat keine vibrierenden und beweglichen sitze und es ist auch nicht gigantisch groß aber das muss es auch gar nicht. Hier steht einfach ein entspannter Kino Besuch in Vordergrund und dafür fährt man gerne auch mal eine Stunde durch die Gegend obwohl das örtliche Kino näher ist und nimmt es in Kauf länger durch die engen Straßen zu fahren um ein Parkplatz zu suchen.

Ein wirklich schönes Kino. Nur zu empfehlen. Sehr nettes Personal und sehr Hilfsbereit. Ein etwas anderes Kino. 100% Top. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
