Modern art museum located in a beautiful post industrial building, A great space inside, and the collections was very well laid out. Several top artists along with lesser known.

Good exhibitions, super friendly people working there. Very fair price, pay by cash.

Really great art venue, with a lovely and polite staff.
Had the chance to visit an exhibition on Cuban art, and it was stunningly exposed. All the areas of the museum were perfectly decorated and distributed.
I spent a couple of hours there, probably depending on the exhibition you'd like to spend more, but it's definitely worth the journey, even if you're in Aachen for only one day.

The gallery's exhibition hasn't been fully done however what I've seen was impressive. I loved the piece where artists could voiced their opinions although I don't agree with all of them. The service is very helpful but can't speak English 😊

Small Museum with mostly Modern Collection and regularly changing exhibits, always worth a visit. Some of the days you may even have special activities or offers. Go to the website for more info on the exhibits. Very wide open space inside, and withe a great Green-Park area to walk around outside. Don't be shy and check out the surrounding park inside the Ludwig Forum lot specially in good weather :))

A super fun place with free entry for everyone on thursdays!
(And free entry on any day of the week when you're age 21 or younger.)

I've been here only a few times but it was always a blast!
There's nice and quiet halls with really unique and interesting art in all possible forms; There can be sound sculptures, 3D paintings, optical illusion and mirror rooms, artistic video games, VR... (all depending on the current theme of the exhibition of course; It's not like they can exhibit everything at the same time) and everything is usually also translated to english (e.g. movies, flyers and the titles and general information about the artworks).

It's probably a good idea to check out the themes and program beforehand though (some exhibitions might not be all that suitable for children (depending on what you think is suitable for children) although they generally do have art workshops and stuff specifically for children as well) and some event days can be somewhat crowded.

When there aren't any major events, the halls tend to be pretty empty though and it's just a really nice atmosphere.

I'm definitely visiting again!

A little remote from the inner city, but definitely worth the travel! Easily by bus. You would not expect such an hip & interesting place in this not so beautiful area of Aachen. Nice museum of modern arts with changing exhibitions. Mies van de Rohe with pieces from the MoMA in Feb 2017 was fabulous. Located in a former umbrella factory, you can easily spend half a day there. Coffee and cake will be served at the small café at the entrance.
