Aachener Brauhaus

As international, feels very welcoming here. Waitresses speak english. Pork knuckles are amazing, crispy at skin, tender at meat. Will definitely recommend here.

So glad I found this place. Real German food in a great gemütlich atmosphere at a very reasonable place. Their "schlachtplatte" (sauerkraut and the works) was excellent (when it comes to schlachtplatten, I know my stuff!). Enjoyed the place immensely and would certainly go back again.

I was dining there with my friend à during my stay in Aachen. I’m this restaurant serves various dishes form German cuisine.
Personally I took the Aachener Sauerbraten (braised beef in sweet sour sauce) with dumplings and red cabbage. It was delicious. You can order it without any fears.
My friends took fried fish with potatoes and salad. Other took fried sausage Nurnberg with sour kraut and mashed potatoes. They said that these plates were also very good.

The food we ordered was very tasty. There was a pleasant feeling inside. What I did NOT see in another response: Is that there is a note at the front door with the text: under 20 € cash payment and we do NOT accept credit cards. Everything else was fine and pleasant.

This is a treasure, do not miss it! Was looking for a "Kneipe" but they all were gone, to make place for a Kebab, a Arabian restaurant, a Shushi bar... And then I saw Aachener Brauhaus. Right, it was 5 p. m. , rather soon for a diner but in Aachener Brauhaus you can eat all day long... Was there a couple of times before... so why not? And yes, again it was super. This is one of the last places where you find excellent German food. It is not that chill atmosphere as in "Brauhaus Früh" in Köln, the servents are friendly but in a more reserved way. But still: visit this pearl when you are in Aachen! I' m afraid this is a endagered specie!
Beware: on Google maps is mentioned that you can pay by card of creditcard, but now they only accept cash! This is the only negativ feedback I can give, I hope the European law about paying is coming soon (this is: every seller has to have at least one electronical possibility to pay). And watch out: even if it is called "Brauhaus" it is a restaurant, not a bar. But the beer is excellent.

Authentic brauhaus, plenty of atmosphere when sitting in one of the wooden booths. Classic German dishes are served. Of course, don’t forget to add a delicious beer

We came here for lunch during a half-day stay in Aachen. Eisbein and haxe were wonderful with beer. Highly recommendable. Although it is encouraged to make reservation (we made reservation but received the confirmation too late via email), during the noon time (the restaurant opens at 12 h) no any trouble to have a table. Serve is really friendly and quick. It is located just in the heart of Aachen, very close to the Dom and the Rathaus, also most of the parking houses in the centre. Would love to come again!

Traditional place for traditional food

Really nice beer pub, all wooden interiour, really pulls you into the atmosphere. The food was great and the beer also, just ask the waiter which one he prefers.

A great place for a lunch. Very good quality for a reasonable price. Definitely a place to revisit if ever we are back in Aachen.
