Nivågård’s Malerisamling

We went there for Affie Atkins event, it was super fun. There were area for creative activity, book area, collages, play areas and so on. We could only see half of the place.
The toilet with changing table is big, there is free locker. Big bag and liquid from outside is not allowed in the museum. The museum has own cafe with light lunch, drinks (coffee, soft and beer) at an ok price. Both outside and inside tables are available. There is also a garden for a short walk.
The staffs were very friendly especially to kids.

Lovely gardens, peaceful and tranquil environment surrounds the gallery. Quaint gallery with pleasant variety of Danish art. Very enjoyable day trip.

Visited Nivågaard Art Museum with my family and was thoroughly impressed. The permanent collection is a must-see, and the special Alfons Åberg exhibit featuring Gunilla Bergström's original drawings was a delightful highlight. A memorable experience for art enthusiasts of all ages!

Lovely small gallery with some renown painters works, less known but worth to see. Recently super nice exhibition of William Morris works took vast part of space. Place has a nice feel and location in a rural mansion. Also small shop with selection of souvenirs.

This museum is a jewel!
Not only, will you ser paintings from the Danish golden age, but also an incredible collection of Cranach, Rembrandt, Bellini, Brueghel, only to name a few !!

This is a very nice old museum. They exhibit art mostly from the 1900 century and the surrounding are amazing! There is a very nice park as well with flowers during the summer. It's famous for the rhododendrons, amazing! The big draw must be the Rembrandt painting the museum is in possession of. We'll worth a visit. There are also a brilliant Cafe with good coffee, and nice food for after the visit.

A little gem of a provincial art collection. Set in beautiful rhododendron park. Fine scandi restaurant.

5 stars because of the way Nivågaard manages to include the local children in the exhibitions. It's not only an art museum. It's a beautiful garden, Cafe, art and activity center
