Restaurant Kongernes Tisvildeleje

This place is incredible. I would give more stars if I could. My family has a little house in town and I’ve walked by a million times but came in for dinner for the first time tonight and now I’m sad I waited so long. The ambiance is fancy but also casual and cozy. The food is beautifully made with love, and tastes so good. Best part though, Jose makes everyone feel like they’re a welcome guest in his home. I thought all the other guests must know him personally but I think he is just that good at his craft. I will be back every time we visit Denmark 🇩🇰 can’t wait to bring my family!

Lovely restaurant with a good menu of hot cold food and drinks. Nice outside space with heated areas. The service is great and for an English speaker like myself the staff translated the menu superbly. Good fish meat and vegetarian options too

Fantastic tasty food in very cozy small restaurant. I had the fish, my wife had the vegan risotto "patty" - both were extraordinarily good. For desert we both had the classic Danish "red porridge" which I have never tasted better. Highly recommend this place!

It is always a pleasure to eat open faced (smørrebrød) sandwiches at Kongernes. Early season, so not quite staffed yet, but food remains excellent

We had wonderful smørrebrød, including the tartar, which was excellent! Great service too.
The dessert Rødgrød med Fløde (Danish National dessert) was the authentic stuff, with a twist of vanilla ice cream and roasted nuts/white chocolate.
Will highly recommend it!
Always very busy, so make reservations ahead of time during summer time.

We arrived late in the evening, just for a coffee and a dessert. The service was great, and so was the stewed fruit and the apple pie. Highly recommended and a very cozy place, we will come back.

Great place for a traditional Danish lunch consisting of elaborate open sandwiches. They similarly also serve a lovely Danish "brunch". Great location in the heart of Tisvildeleje.

Simple great cooking in this tiny restaurant, the menu is short and simple but the choices are always tasteful and we'll composed.
The own branded beer is a great choice with most dishes.

Nice danish smørrebtods, little expencive (375 dkk 2+2) but good quality and nice atmosphere.

It's a Mikkeller pop up shop now with intentions of being a restaurant in a couple of months. Nice beer!

Great breakfast and lunch options (I haven't tried the dinner menu) Really nice people working there and always cozy music on the old turntable :)
