I went there on Monday, when the museum is closed. However, I still recommend coming to visit the place. Truly beautiful beaches, the lighthouse is really sweet, Rasmussens house is so cute and in this old Danish style. Really really awesome for a day trip from Copenhagen.

Knud Rasmussen’s picturesque house from 1917 sits atop a scenic cliff facing the ocean. Not only is it pretty to the eyes, but very informative about his various journeys. Very helpful staff ready to answer any questions you may have.

What a great little museum to visit and it is in a wonderful location on the coast. The house design is based on an English thatched cottage and was his summer house and where he chose to work from. Many photographs and information about Rasmussen's explorations and all the original furniture/furnishings were as he left it. The staff there were very helpful. Well worth a visit.

A must, just because you are in the area. Beautiful hills with an exquisite view to the sea. Picnic tables around. In the back, the lighthouse.

Worth visit this historic place. Built in a natural habitat. Beautiful beach and views are also nearby.
5-7 minutes far from Hundested Sand festival in a car.

He was the first man to cross the Arctic. His house is big, beautiful and in a great spot. Some interesting things inside and a seat outside, overlooking the sea. I would live there given the chance.
