The majority of photos were from the warm days so I wasn't sure what to expect during my visit in February. But it was perfect. Actually, that's the best thing I've experienced while visiting Copenhagen.

Beautiful park, cool architecture, nice sculptures. Very easy to get there by train (I purchased train tickets online via the Dot phone app, highly recommend).

If you are in Copenhagen and thinking is it worth an hour's journey, it totally does. Do it! I go to A LOT of museums and galleries, and this one is wonderful, both content and architecture and design. Great day out. We spent 4 hours and this is only because of one gallery was rehanging. Easily a day trip! Wow!

Nice place to visit!
Besides the exhibition, there is a beautiful garden which connects with the sea 💚
Also, another point of attraction is the restaurant, which is very popular and a lot of people go there to have a good time.
If you go there when nature is green or the weather is not so windy, you will have a wonderful experience 😊

One of the best modern art museums I’ve been to. The landscape surrounding the museum is absolutely stunning and peaceful. It’s a 40 minute ride on the outskirts of Copenhagen. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the city.

Beautiful spot to spend a day. Easy train ride from Copenhagen. I had a Copenhagen Card so no wait, transit is included with this card. Outdoor spaces were sublime, I had lunch at cafe and it was affordable and fast. Museum spaces and shop all beautifully done.

Absolute must-see on a calm weekend day ! The train ride from Copenhagen to the small town is quick and the museum is reached fast. There was no waiting line and a friendly staff welcoming us. The exhibitions were well curated and multifaced. Calm, interesting and interactive to a certain degree. The sculpture garden is worth a visit itself ! Many paths lead you around the buildings and there are many pieces to discover. When the weather is clear you can see sweden just on the other side of the water. The restaurant has a great choice of dishes, the shop is quite big and we were able to find a nice poster in a huge collection they offer. Extra plus point that they give you a protective cardboard roll for the purchase.
It was one of the best museum visits I had so far and would recommend everyone who is even just slightly interested in contemporary art :)

Louisiana is one of the best museums in Europe if not the world.

The whole experience you get from the moment you enter, to exhibitions and even the cafe are more than satisfying. You will see everything here from modern contemporary to classics to sculptures the museum has it all.
In order to get here from Copenhagen you must do it either by car or train. Train was very easy to get and takes around 45 minutes from Copenhagen to Luisiana.

Make sure to arrive early in the morning to avoid the queues, this place gets packed during the weekends. Allow anyway around 3-5 hrs to have a relaxed but full experience

No words needed really. World renowned art museum. Go early in the morning via train, buy your tickets in line, explore for a few hours, stay for lunch at the cafe - it’s worth it. We were blessed enough to have a cool sunny day, don’t miss the sculpture outside.

This museum is situated at a unique location facing the ocean. Ajoined by basement compartments, the 3 separated houses of the museum are bigger than what u see on the surface. Furthermore, the space for the outdoor sculpture garden was spacious with the ocean as the background. You have to give yourself a good 3 hours to view the exhibitions inside out. Really like the overall setting & currations. Definitely worth the 50min train ride from Copenhagen Central Station + a 15min walk to the Muse if u could spare your time for a visit🤩.

The museum and its setting, sans the art, is an experience in itself - a beautiful small complex of interconnected buildings set upon a hill facing the sea (ok it’s probably a strait but it’s sea if you don’t look at the map). Make sure you descend down to the sea and touch it and smell it and sit upon the little pier. Perhaps even swim in it as we saw some brave locals do! Brave because the water was already cold at the end of September. But seriously bring a bathing suit in the summer!

I don’t love Giacometti, which the museum has a lot of, but did find other sculpture to love and admire there. This is largely a sculpture museum.

It is outside of (or on the edge of?) the city but very easy to get to and very worth it! In my opinion, this the most unique of Copenhagen’s museums.

My first time here I also had a great sandwich from the more casual cafe, but it appeared to be closed when I came at the end of September this time. There is a more formal sit down cafe that overlooks the sea also.

An absolutely stunning experience! Though it’s a bit of a journey, about 50 minutes from Copenhagen, visiting the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is immensely worth it. Each moment spent here is filled with awe and appreciation for the modern art collections and the unique ambiance of the museum. The trip itself was super cheap price for the rich cultural and artistic experience that awaits. Highly recommended for art lovers and explorers alike!

Absolutely amazing museum, definitely worth it's price. We spend about 6 hours there, there were 3 major exhibitons, we spent most of the time on two of them. They have a restaurant inside and access to the sea, but the very best part is their creative workshop. Even though I think it's meant for kids, we spent a lot of time drawing and creating there.
Perfect spot to visit on a rainy day in Copehagen. You can get there by train in about half an hour.

Perfect place to be rainy day or great day. Best place for kids as well. Always inspiring and calming and atmospheric. Go now as there is a kusama installation and also the classic Giacometti. There is also thus cool exhibition with a live artist... always wanted to see one.

The most-visited art museum of Denmark.

The museum is an impressive combination of modern art, architecture and landscape. It is located by the seaside, surrounded by wide landscape. It is possible to get in the landscape from several points of the museum building.

The museum has an extensive collection of modern art including famous artists like Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama.

The museum is in Humlebæk but easy to reach by train from Copenhagen. It takes about half an hour by train and 10-minute walk from the station to the museum. There is a combine ticket covering the 2-way train tickets and museum entrance fee. You can buy combine tickets at the main train station in Copenhagen.

Didn’t have too much time in Copenhagen but so glad I made the time to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Made my way there for the Pussy Riot exhibition - one of the best I have seen. The building and surroundings themselves are reason enough to visit. Located on the coast and with beautiful greener surrounding this wonderful architectural feat I would highly recommend this as a much visit destination for lovers of the arts.

It’s a wonderful combination of nature and art. This is one of the places worth hopping on a train and spending a day surrounded by sculptures and with a seaside view. They even have a designated lunch areas, so pack your boxes! Just be mindful of the crowds, as it gets pretty busy and a lot of visitors are lost tourist. Try to get as early as possible and enjoy tranquility.

My favorite museum!!! Went there several times during my stay in Copenhagen. After my first visit I loved it so much that I cancelled all my sightseeing in the following days and went to Louisiana. So many good things about this place. First and the most obvious one is the design of the whole place is stunning, including the architecture and interior design and that nice park behind the building. Everywhere is so pretty! You can also enjoy a nice sunset by the sea after your visit. Second is the exhibitions. I met my favorite exhibition by far, epic waste of love and understanding by Ragnar Kjartansson, every work of him is worth appreciated, I actually stayed in the room of “a lot of sorrow” for more than six hours to watch this six-hour-long video non-stop. I really grow on modern art here. Also, the opening hour there is very friendly, they are open until 10pm on weekdays. Love this place so much, really looking forward to going back!!!

Absolutely incredible collection of modern art. The Yayoi Kusama exhibit was a particular highlight alongside the temporary exhibition on Pussy Riot. The space was laid out perfectly and the whole experience was so chilled. The food and drink available in the cafe was also incredible and the service was quick and friendly. Finally, the gift shop was filled with a vast array of clothing, homewares, books, posters and postcards. I would recommend to any visitor to Copenhagen - whether or not you are a huge fan of modern art!

One of the most beautiful museums I’ve ever seen!
This place is absolutely unbelievable… it’s only around 45/50min from Copenhagen Nørreport station, and a advise I would give for the train ticket is to buy on the app, cause it’s 74DKK at the station and 42DKK on the app.
Now about the museum, it’s only a short walk from Humlebæk train station and the ticket for adults is 145DKK.
The place is super big and they have different exhibitions as well, I spent 4h there and wasn’t able to see everything… They have a big garden with loads of sculptures, a nice restaurant with an incredible view and a food truck in case you want just a snack.
So knowing that, I would say that you can easily spend a day there, because you can visit the museum and then take a break at the big garden enjoy some of the view, have a snack or lunch and go to see the rest of the museum.
There was a lot of people at the garden when I was there (Sunday) and I saw that some of them got there own snacks, so that’s also a nice idea.
They also have a nice shop where you can buy a range of different things, from clothes to home decorations, books and more.
Please, if you are in Copenhagen, do visit this place. It’s absolutely worth it! The town is also cute and nice to see.

I don’t normally like museums but I LOVED this one!!! Beautiful architecture, beautiful grounds, exhibits that make you think and feel deeply.

Plus… you can go swimming right after. What a nice way to end a museum day!
