We were pleasantly surprised by this last minute stop. We had not planned on a visit here and it was recommended by our driver and it did not disappoint. The scenery was relaxing and the feeling of history surrounded us. Very detailed architecture and design. We had a range of ages from 19 to 60+ and we were all happy with this destination.

Absolutely beautiful village in a medieval setting. There are lots of shops there too with quality items. The stonework and view of the river was amazing. We arranged a taxi from our resort to take us there and back. Very safe place to visit.

Fantastic spot in Dominican Republic. Great views on the Chavòn river, good restaurant options, nice shops.

Great atmosphere with amazing park and landscaping. Really feels like an authentic colonial outpost.

During Christmas season they go all-in on lights and decoration.

Altos de Chavón was definitely one of the highlights of the resort. It was a nice little drive on the golf cart to get there but the scenery is spectacular. The entire drive so doesn’t seem like it’s a long drive.
The area had a variety of restaurants to choose from most seem to be open later in the day after 5 PM or so however, we did find one restaurant that was open midday .
I would highly recommend a trip here during the daytime as well as the evening. Both were spectacular and all the restaurants we ate that were extremely delicious.

This is a gorgeous constructed town made to look like a Italian borgo, safe and friendly, that has restaurants, an amphitheater and lots of shops. It’s very beautiful and a must if you go to Casa De Campo Villas and Resorts, La Romana, Dominican Republic. Loved it. The photo of the church is where pop icon at the time, Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s daughter, got married.

Beautiful place. Like the other reviews, make sure you bring your passport and pay $50/person to enter. Really cool place to spend the day to walk around and enjoy the facilities. Restaurants are really nice but pricy. The stadium is really impressive to see.

It was well worth the $11 per person cost to ride from the cruise port to the location and back. We were able to spend hours enjoying the stunning views, interesting museums, recreated cultural center, and lofty cafes.

This place is a must see if you’re ever in the area! The entry fee is $30 dollars per person and you will need to have your own car or a taxi will cost you $25 dollars per trip, but it’s so worth it. The small town feel is adorable and beautiful. The beach is by far the most beautiful beach in the DR. The drinks and food at the pool bar is delicious, and the staff is incredible!

I'm glad we went, but I will forewarn you that it is difficult to gain entry to Casa de Campo if you aren't staying there. You must have a concierge service get your reservation secured, but then you are at the mercy of whomever is at the desk. You must bring your passport with you as well.

The people at the desk kept changing the price of entry telling our concierge contact one thing ($25/person) and us another ($50/person). Plus the woman at the desk made us wait over an hour and a half for some random reason that didn't make any sense. Even our driver was getting annoyed and knew that they weren't being straight with us. There were 4 different people behind the desk and no one would answer the phone (it was ringing nonstop) to talk with our concierge contact so she had to call me directly so that I could hand the phone to the woman we were dealing with.

Very unprofessional and the delay had nothing to do with security.

Otherwise the town was really stunning and definitely feels like you're in an old town in Italy. We enjoyed touring the local museum which has a lot of artifacts about the DR and the people who have lived there over the centuries.

Very cute shops, lots of restaurants, beautiful walkways through the town and gardens. And of course you can see the church where Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley got married.

Definitely glad we went, but the fuss just to get in was unnecessary.

Very beautiful place. Our tour included multiple stops and our time here was short than I would have liked, but it is an interesting place and a great place for photos.

What an amazing little town! Right on casa de campo Property, this fascinating place occupies a hillside that over looks a river and golf course. This place makes you feel like you have been transported to some other time and place and just feels cool being there and walking around. Great restaurants, service and views! I wedding was in progress 1 of the days we were there and you can tell these pictures are going to be phenomenal! We caught a Jazz Show In the amphitheater and it was just so cool we had a blast. The weather was perfect, atmosphere was perfect. Just a great time.

Picturesque tourist attraction at Casa de Campo that should not be missed. Beautiful stone buildings complete this quaint town on the edge of the Chavon river. Both the views of the river and the amphitheater are equally breathtaking. Restaurants and shops provide things to do in this romanic oasis.

A hidden gem in Casa de Campo. Lots of good restaurants, a great cafe, and beautiful atmosphere. It feels like you have gone back in time. Beautiful during the day and at night. Make sure not to miss the coliseum it is a bit off the main path but built with epic proportions.
