Blue Island Punta Rucia

I’ve been here and stayed in their two airbnbs and every time I visit I’m satisfied with the service and with the beach. I recommend this place to stay but also for just spending a few hours by the beach.

I loved that place. I was there visiting the first time I went. The second time I went, i stayed a few days, and it felt like home. the staff was very welcoming and accommodating to all my needs, beautiful beach without a lot of people, so it is perfect to relax. Great food and perfect drinks. Juan Carlos and all of the staff are very pleasant. It's definitely a peaceful and amazing place to stay, I can not wait to return!

It's very beautiful, the water is so clear and clean. Where I was it was more private so there wasn't much people so I really enjoyed that. I didn't get to eat as much as I would've like because I was busy swimming the entire time but what I did eat was good, especially the ice cream, I don't know what it had but it was so good. The service was top, they were very attentive toward us. Even when the kitchen was close or about to close they still made me a last minute meal.

Such an amazing place, very friendly, wonderful food, perfect location. The linguine is my favorite, shrimp tacos great too, so was the grilled fish. Lovely place to hang out and have a drink and a swim and a walk on the beach after too. Closes about 18.00.

This is probably the best Excursion Place in the entire Dominican Republic. the process of booking the Catamaran with Natalie was very easy and secure. when we arrived at the Restaurant, it was a pleasure to see that Juan Carlos and the Restaurant personnel were all ready for us. the breakfast was delicious and exactly what we ordered. the coffee and juices were great. Then we went to the Catamaran where Bebo (The Captain) was very professional and instructed everyone on board about the trip and what to expect. we really got more than we expected. they (Bebo and his shipmate) went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience taking us to the Natural Pool in the middle of the ocean and then to Cayo Arena. the water was so nice and clear. the marine life was mesmerizing. the place was not crowded and we had the experience of a lifetime. the return was incredible as we were taken to the Manglares and once again the Crew was very professional instructing and informing us of the importance of these protected areas. they were careful and, in my opinion, the perfect crew. when we arrived back at the restaurant, they were waiting with drinks and a delicious late afternoon lunch.
if you are planning on visiting the Dominican Republic and Cayo Arena is in your list of places to visit, I recommend "Blue Island Punta Rucia" they are the best.

Outstanding service and experience! Bebo was a great host and accommodated to our day, he made sure we were completely satisfied and we were. The host staff was perfectly synchronized to our adventure, the food and drinks were deliciously flavorful. We definitely have created great memories, and will be going back again!!

Me and my family had a great time at this restaurant. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Wifi available, showers and changing rooms. Definitely recommend this place, a bit pricey but is expected.

Ran into the place by mistake the lady saw me with a cooler and immediately was unfortunately you can bring that in here. I was about to leave but she was more than friendly and understanding. We decide to have lunch and I was blown away by the service that Roberto provided us. The calamari was sensational. Definitely a wonderful place with an amazing view. My only problem was that it felt too touristy.

This place was amazing; a nice hole in the wall feel thanks to my cousin who is a native Dominican and likes to explore.
We were received and tended to by Kelvin (Hope he’s there next time, so attentive!) The food was amazing as was the excursion; Bebo was an amazing Captain and allowed us to be free and comfortable as he drove us out into the ocean. He was accompanied by Dariel, who was very knowledgeable of the Island and the surrounding plants; he also took us snorkeling! They had the food ready for us as soon as we got back, the skirt steak with tostones was amazing as was most of the food; shrimp tacos, grilled fish, Moro (rice and peas) and all the way down to the Passion Fruit Mousse. Recommend 100 percent and will be coming back soon!

This place is wonderful to be with the family very good service all the staff are very friendly excellent food also the beautiful beach everything very clean I recommend it 100% Blue Island for me is A+ excellent.

Blue Island staff was very nice, and the service was good ,, the day trip on the boat was awesome and the crew was great,, very friendly kept the drinks coming, snacks on the boat trip, and buffet dinner at the restaurant was a real nice experience. Get there early, enjoy coffee on the beach, the view is awesome. This is not a hotel, it is a restaurant and bar, with a day excursion on a beautiful catamaran style boat. Breathtaking experience, great service, amazing vibe, beautifull places, Karl and Natalie and whole staff makes you feel at home, didn't want to leave the place, will surely go back!

Amazing staff and food. Came for lunch one day and came back for their excursion the next day. Best food in the area by far! Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely would recommend! We booked the excursion via WhatsApp, seamless process.

Finally i was there last week and the wait worth it 200%!!! The ceviche, pescado frito the kindness from the people who work there, the trip to Cayo Arena on the Catamaran, there is no simply word to describe that place.

Great service, attentive, friendly staff (Kevin was our server and he was wonderful) and the food was fantastic!! Highly recommend if you're visiting Punta Rucia!!!!

Blue Island is AMAZING!! Truly Paradise! Fantastic Food & Drinks! Shrimp Tacos and Mojitos are great! Friendly and attentive staff. The owners are very personable and make sure everyone is having a great time! Beautiful beach, great excursion to Cayo Arena. Highly recommended!!

From beginning to end, EXCELLENT experience. The owners and all the staff were so welcoming, every little detail was taken into consideration for us to have an amazing time. The only sad part is that we had to return home at the end of the day. Staff is well trained, very attentive and efficient. Cleanliness (which is very import to me) was impecable, food was also excellent. We came with a party of 11, took the tour to Cayo Arena (highly recommended) the boat staff was also very attentive and friendly. I give my overall experience a 5 star!!

DR needs more gay friendly places, so tourists can comfortable spend $$$$ & feel welcomed. This is 2019 not the prehistoric era. This place is beautiful & amazing. I recommend
